Extraction of a portion from graph

I have to extract a portion from Graph .
I know the starting and ending point in x-axis and i have to know the y-axis values.
I have used "extract a portion of signal " express VI but am not getting the values correctly.
There is a picture with this, in which the portion in red box is the part i have to extract.

Thank you for a fast response .
The VI in the above link shows how to extract a portion of graph with use of cursors. In my VI the user won't do anything . Everything should happen automatically.
First of all.
1.I have detected the peaks in my graph using a peak detector VI. This process have given me the position of peaks in terms of time (i.e x-axis units).
2. I have added a constant offset time like 0.005 sec to each time value and then I provided that value as the starting point of extraction .
3.The length till which the extraction should be done is also kept constant.
4. I just need the amplitude vales of that particular part so that I can use them for my further calculations.
For clear information I am adding a picture of my graph in which the areas I have to extract is perfectly marked inside red box.

Extracting an .xmp sidecar from an ACR-edited RAW smart object layer...

Hello all. Given the following situation:
Several thousand TIFF files, each containing two RAW files embedded into separate Smart Object layers. The RAW files were named with sequential numbers prior to being composited into the TIFF files via a script, and the TIFF filenames correspond to those of the embedded RAW files. The RAWs have subsequently been edited in ACR from within the TIFF files.
I've done a little digging, but I can't seem to turn up answers to several related questions:
A) Should I wish to re-extract the RAW files from the smart object layers with the edits that have been applied, is there a method of PerLayerMetdata that can be used to extract a complete .xmp sidecar that will be recognized by ACR and associated with the exported RAW?
B) Should I wish to change the sequential-naming of the parent TIFF files, is there any method to correspondingly change the filenames of the embedded RAWs directly within the smart object layer? In other words, using PerLayerMetdata, can the filenames of the RAWs be changed without exporting the RAWs using a different filename and then replacing the contents of the smart object layer?
C) I would ultimately like to be able to save the embedded RAWs as DNGs with their ACR edits applied, if necessaray. Given a way to accomplish A), above, it would be a fairly simple to export the RAWs and associated .xmp files and then run the DNG converter on the lot. However, does anyone know of a way to save a DNG directly from the smart object layer?
Any ideas or pointers to existing documentation are much appreciated.

Thank you kindly, Michael. I see now that the example I was viewing had done exactly what you describe, writing ACR settings into the SO layer's metadata at the time of embedding. I was only looking at the portion which later accessed those settings using PerLayerMetadata, and I had mistakenly assumed that CS5 was automatically embedding xmp data in this manner, now, when opening or placing a RAW file as a SO.
I don't see a direct way to get at the ACR settings of a camera raw file embedded in a smart object.
This is sort of what I was afraid of. They're in there, somewhere, but I'm having no luck figuring out how to access them.
If the ACR settings for a RAW smart object are, indeed, not exposed to automation in some manner, I think I must change my workflow such that either: A) No edits are performed in ACR after object embedding; or B) the RAWs are converted to DNGs prior to smart-object embedding so that the ACR settings can be exposed in the exported file.

Extract a signal portion

Hi,
I am new to Labview and trying to extract a portion of a signal. I can display the analog signal catured by an A-D card (Signal A)connected to PCI slot. I can capture another signal from the parallel port (Signal B) which I want to use for timing. Its a digital signal with two levels. I want to capture a portions from Signal A based on the time duration from Signal B and store them in a 2-D array or a matrix, so that I can use it as an image for further processing.
1. how to implement a counter to count number of pulses from signal A? I can convert it for boolian output if necessary.
2.how can I use that counter to extract portions from Signal B?
eg; extract signal from pulse 1 to 10 and store them in a first row of 2-D array
extract pulse 21 to 30 and store them in the second row of the same array and so on.
Or is there any other way to cordinate these two signals so that I can save the reqiured samples from signal A to a 2-d array?
A to D card is not from NI and I cannot use DAQ blocks.
Any help would be highly appreciated. If you can provide VI block diagrams it would be better as I am not that familiar with Labview. This is my first application in Labview.

at first you could use a simple "greater or equal" function to find all parts of the waveform that exceed your limit. Then splitting the array should be easy...

HT2479 I'm trying to extract a photo clip from my video. How do I do that?

I just took a video of my daughter's new wine and cheese shop. She loved it and wanted a picture of her that is in the movie. Can I extract a photo clip from the movie? I can't figure out how to do it and would love some help. Thanks.

Or just play back in full screen and pause the video on the section you want and take a screen shot(Shift CMD + 3).
Another thing you can do is Export using Quicktime from the Share menu and change the Export setting to Movie to Image Sequence. Make sure you export into a folder as you will get approx 30 images for every second of video you export. I would recommend creating a new project and just adding a couple seconds of the video clip around the spot that has the image you want then export Movie to Image Sequence (into a folder).

Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive. Open iTunes and immediately hold down the Option (alt) key (shift on Windows), then guide it to the new location of the library.

I think you will find that you have to have a debit/credit card stored on yur account regardless of whether your have iTunes Credit or want to purchase a free App. I don't know why, I assume its for ID verification or is part of the terms and conditions. I occasionally have to re-verify my credit card info even when just trying to run Update on one of my Apps or like I said downloading a free App.

Extracting a flat file from oracle table

I have moved the knowledge module KIM ISO SQL to FileAppend from the Metadata to my project folder.
But when I create an interface mapping the oracle table and a flat file on a different unix server, in the drop down menu , it shows only KIM SQL TO SQL and KIM Control Append.It does not show up the SQL to FileAppend knowledge module option.
What should I do to extract a flat file from oracle table?

How to extract 64 bit data from imaq image using IMAQ Extract VI

I have LV 8.5.1, Vision 8.5 and need to extract 64 bit data from a 64 bit image and I get the "invalid image" error while using the IMAQ Extract VI. What version of Vision do I need to allow me to do this?
Currently, the work-around I have...
1) convert the image to 32bit
2) use the ROI tools I to get the rectangle data I need
3) then go back to the original image and the convert the image to a 64 bit array
4) take the rectangle data to extract the data needed out of the 64 bit array data.
klunky but it works. I would think that the IMAQ Extract tool should allow me to extract the 64 bit data but it doesnt... forces me to 32 bit.
suggestions?

Extracting the first page from all pdf's in a folder and save them to a new file

Hi,
As Bridge apparantly is unable to create a decent-looking PDF from a bunch of other PDF's, we're looking for alternative solutions. The problem is, that I haven't done much scripting in Acrobat.
Pseudocode:
Select Folder where PDF files are stored
Create list of PDF files
Get first page from each and add it to temporary new PDF
Save temporary new PDF in high quality
Would that be possible in Acrobat? And where would I start? I can't even find a Scripting Guide for Acrobat (like the ones for Illustrator and InDesign).. and there seems to be no sample scripts included either :-(

This can be done using a combination of an Action and a script. The script in the Action will collect the paths of the files you want to process and the folder-level script will extract the first page from each file and generate a new PDF from it. You don't need a plugin for this task, so you don't really need the SDK.

concerning your first question - please decribe, what you are trying to do.
Question 2:
LOIO_ID is the ID of the Logical Information Object. A LOIO is not a real document, but kind of a virtual document, a containerfor all "real" versions of a document. A PHIO (physical info object) is a real document.

Extract account Based COPA from R/3 using Business Object data services

We have a requirement to extract Account Based COPA from SAP R/3 to Teradata using Business Objects data services.
I have read couple of white papers which give information on Rapid Marts( which are built in packages) already available for some applications like inventory, GL, AP, AR etc. But I could not find anything for COPA.
Would anyone give me any information on how to use BO data services for COPA?
Also if there is no rapid mart available for COPA, does anyone know how to create custom data marts in BO Data services?
Is there any document available on this?

I see its easy to do it with consecutive pages by highlighting thumbnails then 'extract' but this does not allow for non consecutive pages.

After highlighting the pages you can drag them and drop them somewhere,
like on the desktop, and a new file will be created with just those pages.
If highlighting the pages is not feasible, or too tricky to do, then a
script can be used where you specify which pages to extract and the script
extract them to a new file.

How to extract the red layer from BayerRG8 file with VBAI?

We're currentely trying to build a inspection program using a CVS and two cameras.
A first question to help us: How can we extract the red layer from a Bayer RG8 image?
To illustrate a lit bit more: lets take a picture of chilis and tomatoes plants. We would like to extract the red color of the picture to know where the vegetable are and if they are eatable.
So, in a first time, we just want to see the red layer of the picture.
On a second step, we would like to extract the poistion of the red areas and rank them according to intensities and store all the relevant data in a .txt file.

Maybe including a picture with the info you want would help. It sounds like you could use a detect object step (which works with color images), and you could get the position of all red objects. I would also recommend using the Hue plane instead of the Red plane to look for color since this is more robust to lighting changes. Once you have the bounding box for each red object, you can create a programmatic ROI around it and use the Measure Color step to get detailed color information about your reb objects. Here's a sample inspection that uses colored candy to give you an example of what I'm suggesting. Let us know if more specifically what you are looking for if this doesn't help. The example is in VBAI 2012. Let us know what version of VBAI you are using because this may affect what functionality you can use.

Unable to extract Customer Master data from MDC

We creating an MDM-XI-ERP2005 Customer scenario. We want to work with all bussiness scenarios (not customizing scenario).
First I'm trying to extract Customer Master Data from EP 2005 using MDM_CLNT_EXTR.
I have created a New Variant which properties are:
Variant: CUSTOMER_TOTAL
Description: Send all customer data to MDM
Extraction Object: CUSTOMER_EXTRACT.
Target System: PI7.
But, the display jobs shows the following error: Could not determine recipients for message type MDMRECEIPT. Job cancelled after system exception.
We need to focus the problem. We have done the following ALE configuration.
SALE transaction:
In Basic Settings -> Logical Systems -> Define Logical System we have add the following logical systems:
              EUS100
              MDM: Master Data Management
              PI7: Process Integration 7.0
WE21:
Transactional RFC -> PI7, IDOC record types SAP Release 4.x
RFC destination: SAPSLDAPI
BD64
New Model -> PFMC
Add message type: Model iview: PFMC
                             Sender: EUS100
                              Receiver: PI7
                             Message Type: DEBMDM
WE20 transaction shows:
Partner profiles -> Partner Type LS (logical system)

Sorry because I made a mistake in my previous message. ALE seems to be correctly configured. I'll try to update correctly my current situation:
In WE02 I can see al IDOCs that I'm trying to send to XI. All them have the IDoc Status = 3 (Data Passed to Port OK) instead of 12 Status Dispatch OK :(. So, It seems an tRFC error.
SM58 shows me more trails: "Basic type 'DEBMDM06' is unknown"
before that I have done the following steps at SAP ERP:
    1. WE21: I have created a PI7 port with 700PI70CLNT RFC.
    2. SM59: I have checked successfully 700PI70CLNT RFC connection.
    3. WE20: I have created a PI7 Partner Type LS with the following inbound and outbound parameters: DEBMDM and MDMRECEIPT.
    4. BD64: I have created a Distribution Model with DEBMDM and MDMRECEIPT message types.
and at SAP PI:
     5.IDX: Port: SAPEUS. Client: 111. RFC Destination: PI7.
     6. technical and business system for sender SAP system(System Landscape Directory)...
- Maybe some of the previous steps is not correct....
- Is RFC Destination = PI7 is correct in step #5?
- Is also necessary to configure more steps in PI system like RFC destinations or Transactional port?
- I have read that is neccessary to check that the option "transfer idoc immediately" in we20. How?
Please any idea will be very helpful.......
