Extraction of solution manager ticket content

Hello Experts,
I need to extract the content of each ticket recorded in solution manager including Issue descriptions, solutions recorded in the ticket etc.  May I know if there is any standard report or if they are stored in a transparent table?
Thanks a lot in advance!
Susan

Hi Andreas,
thanks for posting your opinion to the topic. What I´m looking for, is the right link to support a process driven SAP-implementation process. The question is, which is the right tool or repository to collect implementation know-how and information about SAP-defined or in anterior projects defined individual business processes and the enabling systems, transactions, services ...
There is such functionality in SAP Solution Manager.
Are there other products, repositories I have to look on, or do you think Solution Manager is the organisational SAP-governance plattform to link implementation methodology, business processes, configuration and functionality?
I´m not believing in anything in that question! I´m only looking forward to your individual opinions about that issue to form a view on it.
Thank you all!
Jens

  • Solution Manager and Content Server / KW

    Hey guys,
Im supposed to assess the advantages of using a content server instead of the database used by SolMan to store documents.
Found some articles about connecting the content server but got confussed about the whole knowledge warehouse thing that seems somehow to be integrated in SolMan.
Apparently that's a different Version of the KW, providing a change history but lacking some other features. Found e.g.  this document here: [Solution Manager and SAP KW Documents |http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sm40/helpdata/EN/a4/4f691faacf423db80f286787c5a527/content.htm]
Can someone give me an overview about what's possible by using these two things togehter?
It's been kind of hard to find some good infos and I'm relatively new to that topic (especially the KW thing), so I really hope you guys can help me.
    Cheers Joerg

    Hello LuongDK,
Please refer to the FAQ section on http://service.sap.com/solutionmanager, Check the installations section:
Which system should I use to install SAP Solution Manager?
The system has to be dedicated to the SAP Solution Manager. No other components can be installed on top of SAP Solution Manager.
SAP Solution Manager does not necessarily require separate hardware. It can be installed as a separate instance on an existing hardware.
This means that the hardware can be shared if it is sufficient to support 2 systems. However a MCOD option is not recommended at all.

  • Working on Solution Manager

    Hi Gurus,
in our project we are having to work through solution Manager. I am new to the solution Manager environment.
    a) Is there any link that helps us understand the basics of working on solution manager.
    b) Also, i understand we need to give the transaction codes that we work on in solution manager. (But in HCM as we work in the IMG the transaction code is always seen as SPRO for most of the configuration)
    c) How do we set the T Codes for entire configuration?
    We have the sub modules
    a) Personnel Administration (Recruitment Included)
    b) Organisation Management
    c) Time Management
    d) Payroll
    e) Personnel Development (PMS- OSA)
    f) Training and event Management

not mainatainig the proper sequence number(number range).Rest all other systems are maintaining it properly.Recently we have upgraded the Support Pack for that BW Development system.its seems like  issue is happening after the SP upgrade.
Please guide us to resolve this issue
    thanks in advance

    Hello George,
The best possible thing for you now ( assuming that everything was working absolutely fine before the upgrade and that you now continue to have no issues with raising tickets in other satellite systems ) would be to find out the side effects of the SP applied..... or may be look for notes resembling your problem.....
SAP Marketplace is one the one you must look upto.....In the meanwhile just raise an OSS for the same..

  • Import of Solution Manager reference data to ARIS

    Hi all,
I would like to import SAP Solution Manager data to ARIS.
Is it possible to perform that simply importing a SolMan file including reference data to ARIS or do we need to create an interface between SolMan and ARIS?
We would like to do this in the most simple way as possible since it is for demo purposes only.
So if you have any idea please let me know.
    Thanks,
    //Anders

    Anders,
I have done similar demos in the past. based on my experience I am giving a quick step by step procedure for doing this.
Create Project in SAP Solution Manager and define system landscape by choosing the
SAP components based on the selected scenarios.
(ii) Analyze and Select the content from the Solution Manager BPR based on the
    finalized Scenarios/Processes.
(iii) Establish a Project Database on the ARIS Server and merge the As-Is Scenario/Process
from the existing ARIS DB into this.
(iv) Synchronize Solution Manager Project with ARIS and establish the link between
    ARIS Project DB and SolMan.
    (v) Perform analysis of the As-Is Process in conjunction with selected scenarios from Solution
Manager reference content and define the structure and scope.
(vi) Align the As-Is Process with the Reference Framework from Solution Manager and
    add/delete steps as required.
(vii) The Business process architecture is adapted to the SAP Reference Content aligned to the
structural layers of Solution Manager (Scenario, Process and Process Step).
(viii) Synchronize the Business flows created in ARIS  with Solution Manager and update
    structure on both ends.
Hope this helps you. Let me know if you need anyother information.

  • About solution manager and RBE

    hi,
I am supposed to integrate RBE (Reverse Business engineering) with SAP ECC 5.0. and i don't know abt RBE as well as solution manager so please give me step by step guidline that what procedure i have to follow for this.
and aslo tell me is it neccasary to integrate SM befor integrating RBE. and if yes then also give me step by step guidline for integrating SM.
    thanks in advances,
    regards,
    Hardik.

    Hi Hardik,
there are some companies that offer a services to analyze
an R/3 or ECC system with the RBE tool and bring the result in Solution Manager as a project. If the RBE analysis is based on Solution Manager BPR content (ST-ICO), the project will have all content (documents, IMG activities) that have been maintained by SAP in BPR.
Since RBE is currently not delivered any more (see note 910687) such services may be the only way to do this.
I know the following services for Solution Manager and RBE:

  • Upgrade ASAP roadmap content in Solution Manager

    Hello,
Does anyone of you know how to upgrade the ASAP roadmap content in solution manager?
Current we have solution manager 4.0, SP12. The version of the ASAP roadmap content is V3.6 (Dec. 2006). We currently found from the service marketplace the lastest ASAP implementation roadmap (V3.7)
    https://websmp106.sap-ag.de/roadmaps.
Is it possible to somehow "upload" this new version into Solution Manager roadmap to replace the older version? Or how should we get the roadmap content upgraded?
    Many thanks for your input!!
    Regards,
    Li

It is delivered in ST-ICO SAP Solution Manager Implementation Cont. Ver 3.6 is in SP11, I would imagine V3.7 is in SP 13.
You would have to up your service pack or use the standalone one until then.

  • Organizing the BI content in Solution manager - preproject activities

I am looking for suggestions on how to organize the BI content in Solution Manager, this as one of the pre-project activities. How should this be organized to create the BBP.
For example: organize creating folder according to the source module Reports for SD, Reports for FI, etc. And then a BBP for each of this requirements?

In my previous project we had separate projects for functional areas and hence had a BBD for each - but then these were big projects with separate teams for SD , MM etc and hence this was morew of a necessity that purpose...
Depending on the amount of development , I would suggest having separate folders - else if certain modules can be clubbed - then you can have it together...
Another thing is if yu intend to track changes through solution manager also - this becomes something much more complex...

  • Solution Manager Service Desk - Segregation and Customization of HR Tickets

    All -
The Solution Manager Service Desk is a great tool for incident management in a system landscape that includes SAP, as well as other technologies.
I wanted to find out whether tickets that contain sensitive information (HR-related) can be segregated and "hidden" from support team members that are not supporting any HR functions.
Also, is there a way, assuming tickets can be segregated by function or support team, that the email message users receive upon the creation of the ticket can be custom tailored?
    Thank you in advance!
    Scott Watson

    Hi Scott,
Yes it is possible and there are various ways to achieve it
for e.g you can use the security concept below to hide from non relevant team members using

  • Solution Manager 4.0 BI Reporting Content for SP13

    Hi,
I'm looking for a listing of BI Reporting Content for Solution Manager 4.0 SP13.  I've heard rumors that standard BI Reporting content exists for the Change Request Management and Service Desk domains, but all I can find are references for system and performance report content for SP12.
See the matrix of content listed in help.sap.com at this url... <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sm40/helpdata/en/44/1ed74368b66491e10000000a1553f7/content.htm">SP12 SolMan BI Reporting Content from help.sap.com</a>
Any guidance for standard BI reporting content for SolMan Change Request Management or Service Desk domains would be appreciated.

I was on session LCM264 - Reporting and Performance Analysis Using SAP NetWeaver BI at TechED and there was no talking about Change Request Management or Service Desk reporting.... This doesn't mean it's not available but I have never heard about it...
I'm setting up Performance Analysis right now and it is working really fine.
