Extractor for notification of type 'general'
Hi,
I know the extractors for notifications of type quality, plant maintenance and service - e.g. for qm notification item : 2lis_05_q0item.
But does anyone know some data sources to extract notifications of type 'general'? They are stored in the table QMEL, and I get some data from 0notificatn_2_attr, but I need item/cause information as well.

Hi,
I think you may not find that kind of Datasources, all data sources from Business content coming from the dif. applications
(SD,MM,PM.. etc).
the only thing, we need to find is whether the data is coming properly or not from related table.
Otherwise we can create new Generic Data source based on our requirement.

Drop down in IW21 & IW31 for notification & order type
Hi all,
I have configured around 7 different types of notification & order copying the standard notification & order type.In IW21 & IW31,apart from this standard notification & order type, other standard types are also being come while selecting relevant one.I had copied this from standard types to keep it for future reference.Without deleting the standard types in IMG, how can I stop to get populated from drop down list? Is it possible by auth. control?

When the user requests help (e.g. F4 or the icon), a dialog box appears. The 4th and 5th buttons control what is in the personal (user's) list and whether the personal or all values list is displayed, respectively. When the all values list is displayed, if the user selects a value (single-click not double-click) and presses the add to personal list button, the value is added to the user's personal list.
To display the personal list, press the 5th button, personal value list. The user's list will be displayed and the 4th button changes to delete from personal list. The 5th button also changes to display all values too.
Whichever list is last used for selecting a value will be displayed first when the user request value help again for that field. If the user is not seeing either of these buttons, either a configuration setting is missing, that field doesn't allow personal lists, or it could be an authorization issue. I have tested both IW21 and IW31 on my system and both allow personal lists.

Notification IDOC Type INOTIF01 failing in poasting
Hi,
I have a program which extract data and post IDOC for notification of Type INOTIF01. The program was working fine in SAP 4.6C. As in ECC6.0, SAP has introduced an addition popup in IW32 transaction, thus my IDOC generation and posting program is failing while posting IDOC as it is not able to handle that new popup.
IT is using function module "IDOC_INBOUND_ASYNCHRONOUS" to process the IDOC data populated in Control and Data Tables.
Pls advice what i can do to handle this new popup which is causing problem and IDOC is failing.

It is a custom program which is using IDOC Type INOTIF01 and Message TYpe INOTIF. It populate Data in IDOC CONTROL & IDOC Data internal tables.
After Populating data in internal tables, it uses "IDOC_INBOUND_ASYNCHRONOUS" function module to create and post IDOC.
I checked in EDIMSG table and for message Type INOTIF , IDOC Type INOTIF01 is linked and it has entries upto 46C version only. there is no entry in table for 700 version for message Type INOTIF. -
QM01 - Add new fields under SUBJECTS tab for notification type Q2
Hi Experts,
My requirement is to add 2 new fields to the create Quality Notification (QM01) Tcode under SUBJECTS tab for Notification type Q2.
I followed the following steps to achieve this :
[ SPRO -> Quality Mnanagement -> Quality Notifications -> Overview Quality Notification Types -> Then I selected Q2 and then selected dcreen structure for extended view -> Double clicked on 10\TAB02 ].
Now I arrived on the screen where we have to define the custom screen area and screen number.
But here in this case (Q2 notification type) all the 5 screen areas are already occupied , so where can I add my custom subscreen ??

You can enter the more than two persons in but not on header screen. In operation you can make each seperate person responsible for each operation & that can be entered against each operation seperately. Also if operation is carried out by two person then also you can enter that in the form of split.
But it is not possible to enter two users in reported by field.

Have you done Basic configuration for Claims processing in SAP Project System.
SPRO > Project System > Claim > Notification - Claim > Notification creation
Also check config for Settings for Claims.

Document Types for Entry View in General Ledger
Is it possible to configure document types to post in a non-leading ledger with a number range that is the same as what is already configured for document types in entry view? This would mean it is possible to post in FB50L in a non-leading ledger and generate a document number that would then mean that the leading ledger is now out of synch with the non-leading ledger in terms of document numbering. Or would SAP automatically force configuration to use a number range that is not already being used by the document type in entry view?

You cant use the same number range which is being used in your leading ledger, system wont allow you. You need to create a new number range for the document type in General Ledger view.

I have a configured a notification type. I want to hide unwanted fields . I checked for " Set Field Selection for Notifications" in spro but i am not able to find these fields.
The Fields are under below tabs

I have not checked in SAP, butif the hiding of the fields in not possible through SPRO, then an easy way to hide fields is to use GUixT, which comes with std. SAP.

Problem of setting Priority type for notification category
Dear Expert,
I have created a new notification type and number range have been created for that notification. Actuaaly i am facing problem when i craete notification for that type which is I have created then after entering in IW2, show error message "Priority type not maintained for notification category".
I also want "Field displaying user status" and "Control box" for My notification of showing fields.
Please suggest me how solve this error and field displaying.

under this link, enter following details for respective Noti types which Noti Header details & Priority types u'll not getting.
1) Screen Areas in Noti Header > i)Screen Type Hdr : H100(eg.)
ii)Screen Type Object : 0100(eg.)
2)Priority Types: here assign Priority types.

Change of quality notification document type
Hello guys,
the SAP enables change of notificaiton type, but only if original notification has origin "General notification". Has somebody succeeded to change also notification with origin "Q1 Customer complaint", meaning Quality notification.

Br, JanIn config, you have to explicitly define what changes you allow.
Most of my clients have defined their own not. Types. So we have to define for each one, what other not. type it is allowed to be changed to.
In config, under the Quality Notifications area, select Notification Creation --> Notification Type --> Allowed Change of Notification Type.
It should be pretty clear once you are in there.
You must test the conversion however. Read the config help and it will talk about inconsistencies. The data from the source QN must map ok to the target QN. If you special requirements in the target QN like certain mandatory fields, it might nit be possible to make the conversion. Each possible conversion should be carefully tested.

Influencing factor Plant for Notification Field selection.
Dear Expert,
I want to make Malfunction Start Field to be display only (Not modifiable)Plant Specific.
I am using same notiification Type for 2 Plants and so I want to Make Malfunction Start field non-modifiable for one plant and modifiable for Other.
For Notification Field selection there is Influencing Field as Notification Type but not Plant ( Maintenance or Planning).
How I can address this issue.
Please suggest any BADI if possible.

This is kalyan, IMG activity is the general settings for Notification, There you can select fields for Notification type. you can not find Documentation for that as per the client requirement we have to drill down the IMG path.

CRM Extractors for Product & Customer
Hi Experts,
Iam new to CRM, can any one provide me the extractors for Product and Customer. Here we are trying to extract Product and Customer data from CRM source to BW/BI target, so if i know the extractors for the above it will be really helpful. Also if there is any step by step guide for the same it would be a great help.

ShivHi all, this may be too late based on the posted dates, but this is a current issue for me that I have found solution for now and I will post up anyways same thing. There is very little documentation so hopefully this is helpful for whoever else has unique requirements to use this delivered functionality.
Finally I am able to find a solution to this problem and now my system is tracking all status changes and providing me detail conveniantely on duration and time between status changes.
There are some table entries that need to be created plus a couple notes that will help. This applies to people who are not getting any data whatsoever in their CRMD_TSS_DTRACK table or 0CRM_TSS_DTRACK extractor.
Goto transaction --> SMW3FDCUST and make the following entries:
BDoc Type BUS_TRANS_MSG
Context mBDoc Notification (additional calls)
Sequence 50
Service Function CRM_UPLOAD_BW_TSS_DTRACK_SRV
and
BDoc Type BUS_TRANS_MSG
Context mBDoc Notification Multiple (additional calls)
Sequence 50
Service Function CRM_UPLOAD_BW_TSS_DTRACK_SRV
and
BDoc Type BUS_TRANS_MSG
Context mBDoc Initial Load (additional calls)
Sequence 50

To also ensure your statuses are being captured after all your configurations have been made, be sure that for these 2 key notes you have the approriate corrections existing in your system:
1024652 - This ensures your custom statuses groups are captured in table and extractor (once you have enhanced it of course)
1239530 - Ensures that all status changes are captured according to your configurations

To the best of my knowledge there is no standard delivered extractor for table EQBS. Try and understand the functionality of the data stored in the table and its relationships to what is specified in requirement. Is the field required in the master data of equipment or some other transaction data? Depending on the scenario you may have to enhance the master data / transaction data extractor or may be if situation warrants you may have to create a generic extractor.
General procedure employed in finding extractors is to know what type of data is requested, which functional area then check the standard extractors in that specific application component to see if any of the extractors delivered provide the data required. Check help documentation of the extractors. -
