Extreme trouble getting rid of imessage after phone switch

my iphone is completely shattered. somehow is still on (i broke it right after fully charging it, yay). all buttons are broke, screen is smashed.
i have no way of turning it off (that i know of).
i'm on my dads back up phone, which is android. i've recieved one text from another android user. anyone else i talk to reguarly has an iphone.
i've unregistered my iphone. still nothing.
i can hear my old phone sitting in my nightstand drawer currently recieving all of my lost messages!
i'm getting incredibly frustrated.
what do i do from here? am i a complete idiot or is this overly messed up and complicated?

Copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder form your old computer to /Music/ on your new computer and your iTunes library will be identical to the old (since it is the same library).

It sounds like you may need to hide these purchases in the iTunes Store in order to prevent them from displaying on the Apple TV. Take a look at the article below for more information.

You can't make calls with iPad; you still need your cell phone.
It's a pain to use 3rd party software to make calls with iPad.

How to get rid of iMessage on my iPad

I have an iPad, which is somehow linked to my Cell phone number. Anytime my wife sends me a message using her iPhone and iMessage I receive it on my iPad instead of my Android Samsung Phone. We do not want to turn the iMessage on her iPhone off. Is there anyway to get rid of the iMessage link between my iPad and my phone number? This is really annoying

While Demo is correct (as always), there is another solution if you prefer:
Since your phone number is associated with a non-Apple device, it makes no sense to use it as a potential iMessage recipient address.
You could go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and delete that telephone number from the candidate addresses you may have there. To delete, you may have to click the little white arrow in the blue circle on the right.
This way, you could keep iMessage on for other purposes, if you wish.

How to get rid of song on phone?

this sounds like the dumbest question, but I can't figure out how to get rid of a certain song on my phone. It pops up on shuffle all the time, and I know I must have added it to a playlist at some point.
But I have a bunch of long playlists and I cannot find it in any of them!
How can I tell which playlist a certain song is on?

OK -- so I actually called AppleCare about this. I went through 30 minutes on the phone with the entry-level guy, and he couldn't help. He actually wanted me to check 'manually manage music" and have iTunes wipe my phone, then I was going to have to reselect all my music! And that would not have even fixed the problem, I know. He was clueless but thankfully escalated me to a dude who solved this in 30 seconds.
I had to delete the song *from* the phone. Went to the Music App, under More->Purchased, and swiped left on the song and then could delete it.
So, because I bought the song on the phone, and it wasn't in a playlist, I was not able to remove it from iTunes. I had to do it on the phone.

Every time you reply on a thread_which you do a lot with things like 'C' or 'B' ,you are subscribed to that thread and will receive email notifications whenever some one else replies to that same thread. The forum system doesn't realize you are simply posting jibberish and thinks you are actually participating and interested in threads.
To unsubscribe- after logging in at forum and seeing this message-click your name at left on your post.This will take you to your Profile page.In the right side of the page click on "Resources and Settings'' to expand it.There you will see 'My subscriptions'.Open that and uncheck all of the threads you have posted nonsense replies on.

I am going to get rid of my personal Iphone since my employer will allow personal calls on their phone as long as I always carry it and answer it. I downloaded CS5 trial and, when it ran out, I got grids over all my pictures. I just bought and installed CS5 and put the download in the trashcan, but the grids are still there. How do I get rid of them?

The Archive and Install setup says something like "you will not be able to boot into your previous operating system" leaving the impression that if you do the Upgrade Install (listed above the Archive and Install) you will be able to revert to prior op sys.

Anyone else had trouble getting RID of Mt Lion? I was shocked to learn that I could NOT run some of my software on it and attempted (with online help) to reinstall SNow Leopard. My computer is now in the hospital! I should have been told beforehand.

I 'upgraded' to Mt Lion over the weekend. It seemed very slow, and sluggish. Within a day I realized also that my Reunion program would not work,
my Quicken would not work, and who knows what else. I kept getting alerts saying that I could not use any PC programs. So, I decided to go back to Snow Leopard - I spent two and a half hours on the phone with two very capable people, then was told that I'd have to take it to an Apple Store. I DO have
extended warranty but a lot of good THAT does! Besides, our nearest store is 160 miles away! So, I took it to our local authorized dealer. It is currently
being worked on, and the minimum will be $189! Fortunately, Time Machine was being backed up by my external hard drive. But, I just received a
call and they can't make my password work to get in! Somehow that has changed back to an old one I don't remember!
MY COMPLAINT: When speaking with a rep about the feasibility of downloading Mt Lion, not ONCE did anyone tell me that I 'might' have these
problems. I NEVER would have upgraded! Now I just want my computer restored to USABLE -

What an unfortunate story.   I hope you will quickly get things back to normal.
To be fair though, there has been quite a lot written about the effects of mountain Lion and the loss of Rosetta, as one example.   I am wondering just how much research you did before buying.
But on the brighter side, you can wipe Mountain Lion and reinstall Snow Leopard with not too much trouble.   It would have been much worse had you bought a new machine with M.L. pre-installed and then found your programs wouldn't work.
