Eye rest feature

I bought recently a gtx 970 gaming 4G. I installed MSI GAMING app and i used sometimes the feature EyeRest. Does this feature makes monitor to blink sometimes ?

Text Eye Dropper Feature Request

As a web designer using Photoshop daily to mock up comps, this would be an incredible feature that I have long thought useful.
Essentially the feature in InDesign already exists. If you have a type treatment set to go already in your document, you could use the text eye dropper tool to sample the attributes and apply it to the desired text. The addition of paragraph and character styles in PS CS6 are a step in this direction, imagine adding a text eye dropper to this as well! I believe this would be a widely welcomed feature by many. Please consider.

I was really hoping to see this implemented. They are definitely going in the right direction with the Paragraph/Character styles, but to me this feature would be far more powerful. I can't stress enough how much easier and efficient comping would be... I guess we'll see.

Red eye removal feature missing in camera update

Is there a red eye removal tool in the new camera update? This was available before the update.

Hi xbee167. I use my phone to take pictures of my family all the time, so I know how important some editing tools may be. The red eye removal is not in a current feature of the camera. Google Play offers lots of fantastic picture editing applications you may find useful for removing red eye among lots of other things. Simply tap your Play icon and then search for key words like "edit pictures" to find all the great applications you can use.

Sound eahancements feature in my Xperia Z1 is disabled since the phone was turned on first time. I have updated the software also but still this faeture is disabled. Rest feature like Clear audio+ and dynamic normaliser are working fine.
Please tell me how to enable Sound enhancements in Xperia Z1?

ClearAudio+ (Auto)

I can't seem to find a red eye removal feature in the app... can anyone help?

Red-eye reduction problem

When I use the red eye reduction feature, suddenly it is putting the "fix" on the photo, not on the eye where I click to remove it. Is this a problem anyone else has had and can it fixed? I use iphoto 6.0.4.

There is a hidden feature that allows you to resize and place the red-eye tool. It works with the Retouch tool, as well.
Type Caps lockControl9
Undo caps lock
Click on Retouch or the Red-Eye Removal tool.
The tab key will toggle between cursor types: a cross or a circle for Red-Eye removal tool, and between darken and lighten in the Retouch tool.
The \[ and \] keys decrease or increase the size accordingly.
NOTE: Using the { and } keys will will change the value next to the circle and that represents the degree of change or intensity that the Retouch tool imparts on each pass. To get a lighter pupil with the red-eye tool, Shift-Click inside the circular cursor.

No Eye-Fi Geotag in PowerShot S100

I have a PowerShot S100 with built-in GPS. GPS works fine.
My SD card is an Eye-Fi 4EV Explore Video card with the Geotagging feature. The wireless transfer to my Mac (using the Eye-Fi Helper app) works OK. But the images never get geotagged. (Note: I turn the GPS function OFF indoors and rely on the Eye-Fi locating WiFi Access Points for the WPS geolocation.)
If I put the same Eye-Fi card in my Canon A570IS, the images get their geotag (assuming a WiFi AP nearby). I've used this card and got many good geotagged photos in the A570. But geotagging never works when the card is the PowerShot S100.
Any ideas what's wrong, and how to fix?

On the Eye-Fi support page for the Canon S100, Eye-Fi says:
Known Issues
When an Eye-Fi Card is used in the Canon PowerShot S100, the camera automatically disables the Eye-Fi cards wifi when the shutter is pressed. Once a photo has been taken, the camera then re-enables wifi on the Eye-Fi card.
Doesn't this logically imply that when the camera shutter is depressed (i.e., the picture is being taken) the Eye-Fi card cannot then acquire the MAC addresses of nearby WiFi Access Points? And since the ability to record the MAC addresses is essential to the operation of the WPS geotagging service, this means that the Eye-Fi card can never record MAC adddresses, and is therefore useless for the purpose of geotagging.
If I had known that the Canon S100 could not geotag due to the idiosyncracy of shutting off the Eye-Fi wifi capability at shutter press, I would not have bought the S100 camera.
I think this is a Canon problem that Canon should solve. This is not the behavior is other Canon PowerShot cameras, e.g. my A570, which have no issue with MAC/WPS geotagging.
Can you please get Canon to make an S100 firmware fix that will allow the Eye-Fi wifi function to remain active during a shutter press?

PS: Battery life in the S100, when used with the Eye-Fi Eplore Video card, is very bad. I get betwen 4 and 12 photos before the replace battery indicator goes on. Perhaps this is due to another S100 behavior that Eye-Fi also reports on the Canon S100 support page:
When used with an Eye-Fi card, the Canon PowerShot S100 stays powered on until wireless media uploads are complete, has an onscreen icon, and offers the ability to enable/disable the Eye-Fi cards Wi-Fi via the camera menu.
This is another issue Canon should address with the S100. However, my main concern at the moment is the inability of the S100 to geotagg using captured MAC addresses.

Atomatic Red Eye Fix

When I download pictures into Photoshop 6 - the program immediately starts "fixing" red eye. As a result I ended up with black spots on some of the photos. I would like to turn off the auto feature and fix the red eye pics myself. How do I turn off the auto red eye fix feature?

Launch the Organizer and press Ctrl+G
In the Downloader click the Advanced Dialog button and then you can uncheck red-eye and other auto-fixes.

What identically replaces CS 5 "Create Web Photo Album"?

I have one web site that is using the Dreamweaver CS4 "Create Web Photo Album", however now that I have upgraded to DW CS5, "Create Web Photo Album" is no longer available. I know you can use Bridge but I need an identical layout of the photo album that was in CS4 to match the others. Any ideas here?

I can't speak for Adobe since I'm just a plain old end user of their products just like yourself.
I do know that Adobe never remove features without having a good, hard look at what they're proposing to remove and getting feedback from users about how it's used and by how many people.
However, in Adobe's eyes, legacy features such as web albums (there since Macromedia days I believe) are clearly more suited to Bridge rather than Dreamweaver.
When they transfer features to different apps, it is rarely a seamless change so you won't get identical results at the pixel level.
When you're upgrading, everyone focusses on the new features. It's also wise to check what has been changed or discontinued before upgrading. Sometimes you'll find yourself in the unfortunate minority which relies on a given feature that apparently (according to Adobe) few people use but those that do think it's an important feature.
Having said that, Web Photo Album in Bridge is excellent from what I can see. Perhaps try it out and see what you think.

What is " factory reset"? How/Why to use it?

What is the "factory rest" feature? How and when should I use it?

The factory reset basically clears all personal data and customizations from the phones internal memory, returning the phone back to the state you recieved it in. This can be used if you get your phone so bogged down that it won't function properly, and as a last resort to fix some major issue that you may be having (though it seems as though VZW tech support usually wants to suggest this first). Your contacts and apps should be saved to your gmail address, and usually get restored automatically when you sign in (and some settings are even backed up now) on first start-up, but you will lose any progress in any games you may have installed, and most apps will have to be set up again.

Before you upload
Create a new folder on your computer where you can store your images. You may wish to create a folder with your name on it under “My Pictures” or directly on your desktop. A separate folder can be helpful, especially if multiple people share the camera or computer.
3 Ways to upload your images
1) Use the included USB cable to connect the camera directly into a USB port on your computer.
2) Purchase a USB card reader, which will allow you to plug your memory card directly into any computer.
3) Use built-in multimedia slots if included on your computer or printer.
After your images are uploaded to your computer
You may find it useful to change the “View” setting of your new folder. This is
commonly an option in the toolbar at the top of your folder. Changing the view
allows you to display your images as a list of file names, small thumbnails (mini-
photos) or in “filmstrip” mode which shows small thumbnails in a row with the
selected image enlarged so you can see more detail.
Double-clicking on any photo in your new folder will automatically open it within your computer’s default picture-viewing software, but generally will not allow you to make any alterations to the image itself. (See Basic Editing tips below)
As with any important files on your computer, it is highly recommended to immediately create a backup of your transferred photos. Two common ways to do this would be to save a copy on an external hard drive or to burn them to a CD or DVD.
To delete these photos from your memory card and clear up space for new photos, place the card back into the camera and select the “Format Card” feature from the menu. You should use the camera instead of your computer to format the card so that it can re-write any camera-specific data.
Basic Editing Software
There may be image-editing software preinstalled onto your computer, otherwise most digital cameras come with basic editing software. For greater options and flexibility, you may wish to consider purchasing a more advanced software program (i.e. Photoshop Elements).
Rotating your images
Some cameras will automatically rotate the image so it is facing the right way. Basic editing software will allow you to rotate the image clockwise or counter-clockwise.
Cropping your images
Cropping an image allows you to digitally cut excess areas of the picture off – for example, if there is too much sky in your photo and you want to zoom in on your subjects instead, you can crop the excess sky out of the picture. Keep in mind that the more you crop an image the worse the resolution of that image gets.
Red-eye reduction
The red-eye reduction feature allows you to reduce the appearance of red-eye in
your photos, which is caused when the flash reflects off the back of the eye. Many cameras have a red-eye reduction flash feature that sets off small quick-flashes before the picture is taken; this delay can sometimes distract your subjects. Software can also make red-eye less visible by overlaying a darker color over the red area.

It's free and open source, I use it for nearly all of my editing/postprocessing work.
