It says it will let me PLAY video games on my mac, but will it let me RECORD footage of the gameplay as well? This is really important to me. If it doesn't let me record the game, do you know of a product that will? Thanks.

Collecting classroom quiz result and then display them on teacher screen

Hello,
I would like, at different moments of my trainings session , to collect data about what my students have understood from the subject we've just seen , in order to re discuss some points if I see that it's not well understood .
My aim would then be to :
- simply create some quizz using captivate 5 and make them available on a shared drive
- each student has a computer in the classroom and they are all connected on our intranet network
- request students to open one quizz (captivate 5 quizz project exported in flash) and answer from their computer , then at the end of the quizz they would click "submit".
- then I would be able to display each question and a summary of the collected answers (50% have choosen answer A, ...) and be able to discuss the results with them .
so I would need to be able to export the result of each user quizz to a file , and have a "teacher" tool able to collect that and display them.
In classrooms, I have no access to the Internet (so no possible connection to Adobe.com), no access to an LMS , no access to an internal server
Can adobe captivate save students results to a file (XML, PDF, whatever ...) that could be read by another tool (captivate interface ) to display results.
I hope that my explanation are clear enought for you to understand my goal. Maybe it's very easy to do that in captivate but I haven't founded how for the moment . (I'm more used to do films in acaptivate).
Any ideas are welcomed.

Like that , the question is shown , the student answers, the summary results is shown, open debate about it, revision if needed , explanation , ... Then next question , the student answers,.....and so on..
This tool (widget) would be very usefull because I suppose that I'm not the only one whishing to be able to do this kind of quick classroom survey in any environnement (the only thing needed would be to have computers on a network) . Because it happens more and more to have classrooms which have their own "intranet" not connect to any external ressources.

Closeout mc234ll/a 2009 model macbook air ?

first let me start by saying originally i purchase a 2010 new macbook air 1.86 ghz 4g memory 128 flash storage but i has to return do to some issue with the computer and i opted out on a replacement because of it bothering my eyes . i really like alot of things about the new air . very fast and light weight . since it bothers my eyes im considering the old macbook air ( a new one that is a closeout model )the screen spec . is the same as my macbook 1280/? so it should be fine on my eyes . my question is i have seen people talking about hinge issues and it getting really hot and noises fron the fan . the one im interested in is 2.13 ghz 2g memory 128 GB SSD DRIVE ( now being it has the SSD drive no moving parts i would not think it would get as hot as some are saying . also even though it has ssd drive in the old one its still pretty slow any thoughts from anyony that may own one

ops i meant to say since it has the ssd drive with no moving parts i would think it wouldnt get that hot like some are saying . really just need some input on anyone that owns or has own one with similar spec 2.13 ghz 2g memory and 128 ssd drve . cocerns are hinge , getting to hot , and being as slow as say macbook white unibody with 2.26 ghz 2g memory and 250 hard drive , and some pixel issues ive hear on the old mac airs . thanks

N85 display clarity problem

hai friends i have just taken Nokia N85. this mobile display is very reddish. videos and photos all are displaying with red colour highlightly. i asked the sales man about that. he said it is OLED display. the model is coming with reddish display.
is it true?

I don't mean to joke, but I think mine is just fine concerning color and I disagree that "red-ish" is that noticable. I agree that colors are deep, but without the red hues in them.
wait, let me check....
red in everything is bull. I checked a bunch of pictures, all the colors are what they are. although I noticed one thing that might be part of this subject. My pictures taken in low light or at night show just a tiny red hue where the picture has black colors. I mean, the black grounds in my pictures show a tiny red-ish hue that doesn't even catch your eye to question.
Other than pictures, black is black and I don't want my baby back..

MultiClip Problems with Pluraleyes in FCP 7

I have 4 cameras all shot with a DSLR Camera. Each camera is about 1 hour and 15 minutes long and has both video and audio on it.. Of course, each camera has multiple cuts in them when the videographer pressed stop and go while he was shooting.
There was also 3 seperate Audio only tracks that were shot seperately.
I lined up the 4 cameras and the 3 Audio files in a FCP Timeline and went to Plurareyes 3 to sync it up, It worked great. The syncing is perfect.
I then exported it back into FCP 7 synced up and I also exported it as a MultiCam sequence.
This is where it gets messed up.
I go back into FCP and Double Click on the Multi-sequence and it appears in the Viewer like it should.
All I see is black. I scrub through it and about 28 minutes in I see 2 out of the 4 cameras I need to see all cameras so I can pick and choose which one I want to use at any given time. NO Audio is playing. It is not working correctly.
When I went to look and try and figure it out, I see that FCP, instead of making it 4 cameras, made it 62 different Video and Audio Clips.
Why??
How can I use Pluraleyes with this footage and make a Multicam Sequence that I use to pick shots like it's supposewd to be used.
Any help would be appreciated.

Doctype and Port 80 problems

Hi
Have a site up and running through Contribute and hoped
someone can help with a couple of problems:
The index page is adding :80/ to the end of the URL instead
of just / Does anyone know how to get rid of this?
Also, what is the best doctype to use with contribute?
Appears that no doctype is added and really need to do that before
tackling the other code/validation errors. Tried a couple of
options but these made the situation worse.

I would like to say that not getting a reply in the forum was
a little disappointing. In no way do I blame forum members, that's
up to them but don't Adobe people keep an eye on questions that are
unanswered. Looking at how many others there are, maybe not.
Neither did they reply to the email I sent to support.
In the end, I found a free website help line in the area
where I'm staying. They are
Surrey Web
Development and deserve a mention, as they helped for nothing,
within a couple of hours. Anyway, the port 80 thing I'm still not
sure about, as they spoke to my hosts and this is sorted out but
I'm not sure how. On the doctype, they recommended HTML 4.01
Transitional, I'll paste the code below if that helps anyone, which
goes right at the top of your page (in the source code, not the
page itself).

(Then there's another line, just search for that, went weird
on here.)
They also suggested a few other things and explained how to
use a validator. Can't say the website code is absolutely perfect

important for a photographer. Just hope Adobe will work on the
coding problems, I don't want to feel I have to use something else.

Even easier is to
Open both images.
Use the Display options to show both images side-by-side:
Choose the Clone tool.
Alt+click on the eye in the source image to set the source.
In the target image paint in the new eye with the Clone tool.
The incoming image area is nicely feathered if you're using a soft-edged brush:

So I've just spent 4 hours trying to figure out how you pasted the Mocha shapes into After Effects. It doesn't work for me like it did for you in the vid. One step must have been missed.
Do you highlight the relevant layer in After Effects and simply paste (edit > Paste)? Or do you "Paste mocha mask"? Perhaps you create a duplicate layer first? When do you do the ctrlshiftc precompositing? Before of after you paste?
It looks like you weren't doing things in real time (you had already done the steps) so you must have glossed over something that noobs like me would miss.
I would really appreciate it if someone please tell me the exact steps to paste the Mocha shape data into After Effects? Thanks!!!

Red Eye Question - Lightroom

I have Lightroom 4 and have been having trouble with the red eye correction tool. It keeps saying there is no red eye area detected, when there is most definitely a red eye issue in the particular photo. I have tried resetting the red eye correction tool many times, and it does not appear to help. I currently have a large Mac desktop. Can anyone please help?

The sliders appear when you apply the tool, not just when you activate it.

Eye Color adjustment brush question

On the adjustment brush when I am using it to change eye color it doesn't change the color at all. I want to change it completely not just lighten it or give it a different tint or hue.
I go to the adjustment brush, turn the saturation all the way down, and then select a color that stands out so that I will be able to tell what I am painting. When I select the color it shows it in the small window in the bottom right side of the adjustment brush "window" thing. The problem is that when I paint it, it doesn't show up at all, it barely even makes a difference no matter which color I select. How do I make it change drastically and completely? Did I accidentally tamper with the settings?
Also, when I use the "plus" and "minus" keys on the keyboard it changes clarity instead of exposure, How do I change it back to exposure?

Check your Flow setting on the brush (the amount per stroke)
and your Density setting (the limit to how much of your effect (color in your case) settings. If either are very low (under 30 for example) you will have a tough time bulding up paint.

Question: Regarding Red Eye Removal Tool

I'm using Lightroom Version 1.4.1 on a Mac OS X 10.5.6. When I activated the Red Eye Removal tool, I noticed that the Pupil Size and Darken sliders did not appear on the Toolbar to the right of the Red Eye Tool icon. All that appeared was a written instruction to "Drag from the center of the eye or click to use current size." Just to check, I then downloaded and installed a trial of Lightroom Version 2.3 without linking it my previously installed Version 1.4.1, but the sliders still did not appear, only the above written instruction. I do note that the sliders do appear on the Camera Raw plug-in for my Photoshop CS3. Has anyone else had this same problem and/or know how to correct this? It seems that a lot of people have been experiencing difficulties with the Lightroom Red Eye tool. Any information or help would be greatly appreciated.

Using blend modes with adjustment layers. I am having trouble getting the results I want by using a screen or multiply blend modes with adjustment layers. When I use the brush to reveal the hidden image, I am not gettting consistant darkness or lightness. I only have one photo open but it seems like I am getting data or colors from somewhere else. Anyone else have a problem like this?

Yes. In fact you are permitted two activations so could run on both computers or a PC & Laptop.

Elgato Eye TV 250 question

Hey guys, im not exactly sure if this is the right place to post this but whatever... i'll post it anyways. I was wondering if this product is able to allow me to record video
of me playing halo 2 onto my computer and put it in I Movie
so that i can edit it.

If you mean recording while you're playing HALO on your Mac, then no. It records from a video input or external source. What you need is a screen recorder program.
Well if you were playing HALO on a game console (say, XBOX) and inputing the video feed in the EyeTV 250, then yes. If you go to the Elgato homepage it's all there. They refer to it as "Game mode".
