EyesOnly - a question for users of Password Protect 6.

One user has reported to me that "EyesOnly", which comes as
an option in
my DW Extension "PasswordProtect 6" is not allowing some IE6
users to
access his protected pages. I am not certain whether this is
an issue
with his particular server, or is a general problem caused by
some new
IE6 security patch, as I've had no other reports.
So, has anyone using The EyesOnly option of PasswordProtect6
heard of
troubles ? Or if you test your own ability to access one of
your
EyesOnly-protected pages using, IE6 do you have any problems
reaching
the page after supplying the proper username/pw?

fyi, if it turns out that IE6 is really making trouble, I
will help you
remove EyesOnly from your pages, and you will still be
protecting them
with PasswordProtect 6.

POP3 -Keep asking for user name & Password

Hi,
We have exchange 2003 server with Service pack 2. We have user who check their mails through Outlook 2003, Outlook web access & some users are using POP3 to download the messages.
Since last few weeks, we are getting the complained that when engineers are trying to configured users account in Outlook with POP3 configuration, its keep asking for user name & password. But with same user name & passwords user is able to check their mail through Outlook web access.
In some of our site, users are able to download messages through pop3 account but this account was configured long back.
Kindly advise.

This is happening mainly when
1. user changed his password through Outlook web access next time its keep poping up for password & it will not accept the new passord.
2. if user is using OWA & when we try to configured his mail in Outlool with POP3 .
See if i remove exchange attributes from user's account & then delete the users from AD & Recreated with same user name, Password & reconnected to that user to his old mailbox, it;s work fine.

WebService Publication asks for user and password

Hello,
I have a WebService with No Authentication.
The problem is that when I try to open the WSDL in the WebBrowser SAP asks for User and Password of the WebAS.
I have tried to Consume the WS through a 3rd application and when I try to consume it user and password is needed and the WS has no authentication.
I have read this topic:
Roles for SOAMANAGER
And the basis guy told me he has already done that configuration so If you know how to solve this problem I will be very grateful if you post it.

SAP Web Application Server requires a username and password. This makes sense. Even if your web service is has No Authentication, you still have to access the server.
How to bypass this.....

Looking for App/Setting for Messages/Mail password protection

Well its a bit simply really, I am just looking for something that will allow me to password protect mainly my messages, although it would be nice if i could password protect other apps or things on my phone, but its mainly for messages
Is there some kind of app that will allow me to do this?
I dont think there is anything in settings but a general password, which it only asks for when you unlock the phone

I've has smartphones since before they were called that, and I've never had one that could password protect only the email app. There's nothing to understand or not understand; the iPhone cannot password protect just email. You can lock the phone with a passcode. That's it.

Command for Unzipping a password protected zip file in Solaris

I got a requirement where I need unzip a password protected zip file using java in Solaris.I tried with
unzip -P but it is not working in India and Australia (may be I need to download some patch). Can any one help me to find out the solution.

I was trying with correct password only but my Solaris is not able to recognize unzip -P command. Can you please let me know whether I need to install any patch on Solaris (my Solaris version is 9) for this command.
Basic requirement: password protected zip files comes to our application and those need to be unzipped to one particular location. As we are using JAVA/J2EE in our application, Can you please suggest any UNIX command (with example) for this requirement will be great.

Setting up strings for user and passwords on iphone

I frequently log into websites that require entering a user and password manually. Is there a way to create a string and then only have to enter one stroke or 2 instead of entering this every time?

Log into whatever site you were wanting to do this for and it will ask if you wish the username/password remembered.

IMac keeps asking for user account password when changing Airport

Whenever I change anything in Airport (switching networks mainly) my iMac constantly prompts me to submit my user account password. All other macs don't do that. Any clues?

Suggest that if you haven't already taken the next steps....open System Preferences > Network > AirPort and delete the current wireless connection by highlighting the name of the network, then clicking the - (minus) button at the bottom of the connection list. Click OK and then Apply.
Open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > KeyChain Access and locate the name of the wireless network, then highlight and delete that entry.
Restart your Mac to see if that will allow you to start fresh.
If still no luck, I'm afraid it's getting down to a re-installation of the operating system on the Mac.

Allow user to password protect a form

I have created a form that asks if the user wants to insert a password - a basic text field. If the password field is empty, then the form opens. If the password exists, then the user is asked for a password - if correct, the form opens for editing, otherwise the form closes.
On the form is a text field called "PWD". The form is called "coal". The script in the Document level is:

I think I should restate the need. I have many thousands of forms, and many thousands of customers. Most of them do not need the form protected or hidden, so the first step in this is to open the blank form without a challenge - just open.
Second step is to offer them a field to put in a password if they want it.
So the form needs to check if the password field is completed - if not, simply open. If yes, then ask for the password - if matched, open form. If not, close form.
Is the javasript issue overcome if I change the functionality to Formcalc?

method, but
instead using a configuration file to set a user name and
password for a
protected directory on an Apache server - where it throws
back the prompt
when trying to access it.
Does anyone know about this "configuration" file that allows
you to do this?
Where can I get the file from and edit it?

Fallback questions for user portal

Is there an option to display a link for the user to get their fallback questions right away instead of waiting X seconds for MFA to timeout? I'd like for the user to successfully authenticate first then have a link appear to skip to their questions.
Also, is there an option to add a captcha for the login screen?

A quick and dirty way may be to count your logins from wwctx_sso_session$ :
select count(1) from WWCTX_SSO_SESSION$ where SESSION_START_TIME > (sysdate-24) and USER_NAME != 'PUBLIC' ;
This will give you the number of users who have logged on during a 24 hour interval. It doesn't filter out multiple user logins.
Regarding 10.1.4.2 :
It is a patch set on top of Portal 10.1.4. By definition, patch sets should not include any functionality changes. Oracle has added generation of HTML 4.01 Strict for your Portal however. Keep in mind however that you are not having all the fixes which have been incorporated in the patch set. Especially the web cache - PPE communication may be a bit buggy in some cases.

Security Questions for Apple id password change

Prompting for User name/Password after I close the document

Hi guys,
I have implemented FSDB repository. When I open a KM document and close it, I am prompted with the authentication window to enter username/password. When I enter correct username/password, it doesn't accept it. However when I close this authentication prompt, I have no issues continuing my portal session.
Please help guys.
Note: I am on EP6.0, SP15.

I am using SPS15 and had similar issues with MS documents. We were receiving authentication prompts. We omitted the MS Docs from the HTTP compression and then applied this RegFix. For us it seemed like it was an update coming back to the folder where the documents are stored upon opening (for PPT's) and on open and close for DOCS. From what I read in the MS note with the regfix - it seems like updates to the MS folder stucture for the purposes of Sharpoint collaboration stuff.

Prompting for User name/Password after I close the KM document

Hi All,
When I open a KM document and close it, I am prompted with the authentication window to enter username/password. It was all fine. But for the past few days, I am getting the enter network password prompt. This happens only for word document. PPT and PDFs doesn't promt for password.
The weblog link in the thread https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/thread?messageID=1965465#1965465 is not opening. Disabling sencondary authentication weblog is not available.
I am in NW04s EP 7.0 SP10
Can anyone please guide me to resolve this problem.?
