Hi Guru's,
I have two systems ECC 6 and Netweaver2004s.For BI7.0 in Netweaver2004s i want to Extract the data from ECC6 into Netweaver2004s BI 7.0.
1.How can i make ECC6 as a Source System for the Netweaver2004s.
2. In Netweaver2004s for BW 3.5 i am getting the Administrator Workbench but objects are still showing the 7.0 properties. How can i over come this issue.
Kindly help me out on this issues.

Hi Prem,
I need to correct you first ..:) 2004s and ECC6 both are same and both comes with BI 70. For your question my aqnswaer is get a seperate BI system with that you can connect to either of the servers.

Hello Prem,
1. Basically Tcode RSA1 - Modeling - Source Systems - right click the "Source Systems" on the right - Create - Automitically create SAP system
2. Haven't heard of BW 3.5 based on NW 2004s... Please check the release of BI_CONT component from menu System - Status - Component info. Likely you find 7.0.x instead of 3.5.x

You have to convert your long string to a table of shorter strings.
There may be other ways, but one possibility is to use a loop to process you string.
while (there is something left)
put the next e.g. 1024 characters in a new row of your table
endwhile
If you need to reconstruct your string from the table, don't use simple concatenation since it will remove blanks at the end of lines. Believe me (from experience) sooner or later this will happen.
Instead you need to either set the subsections of your long string, or insert from the end of your table and keep shifting the contents (probably less efficient) right

Download data from ECC6.0 to CRM

We want to download data from ECC6.0 to CRM 2.0.
I am facing an error while trying to use Function module 'SMW_CALL_MIDDLEWARE'
to create and post BDOCS in CRM 2.0.
The BDOCs are getting posted successfully. However, function module is updating
only SMO* ( Mapping) tables but not the CRM database tables. Does anyone has any suggestion on this.

I think your corresponding mobile bridge needs to be properly active. That should take care of posting data from CDB to CRM.

BI- Reports, Data from ECC6 (Call Related)

I have a couple of reports to be created in BI.
My source system is ECC6 (Call Related)
Reports are from the following tables
AUFK
PMSDO
VBAK
VBFA
QMEL
JCDS
QMEL
I want to follow the standard extraction method.
Anybody please help me, how do I start?
Do i have any standart DataSources in ECC which are linked to all the above tables or I should create a view and put it in a standard datasource???
I'm not very sure how to begin. Need your help.

Data Load from ECC6 in GC or LC

Hi Friends,
Have a small query. When i extract data from ECC6. Should i take the data in GC (Group currency) or in LC (Local Currency).
If i do the extract in local currency how does the system handle the currency conversion from Local currency to Group currency. What is the normal procedure.
What is the use of taking TC (Transaction currency) as i understand, the system shall convert the transaction currency into local currency in ECC6 so why do i need TC in BCS.
Shall be thankful if you could reply ASAP.

Hey it will affect; wont it because when i take the value in TC the value shall be different whereas when i take it in group currency it shall be different. For eg My group currency is EUR and my local currency is GBP. When the system posts a document in ECC6 for e.g. £100 then the group currency entry shall be 120 Euros (Considering a currency conversion rate of 1.2 between GBP to EURO). In such a case how can i take LC = GC, will it not be wrong.
It shall be correct where the LC and GC are the same currency. for eg if my transaction in LC is in EUR then the GC amount shall remain the same as the GC is also EUR.
Please guide.

1. Go to RSA5 in ECC6 to Install Business Content D.S.
2.If you want do any change then Go to RSA6 in ECC6
3. Replicate DS in BW .
4. Create Transformation (to connect DS to MD).
5 Create Info package ( to load from S/S to PSA ).
6. Create DTP ( to load from PSA to MD Objects ).
Please let me know if i am missing any steps.

CIF - Master/Transactional Data From ECC to APO

Working on CIF Data From ECC6.0 to APO(SCM 5.0)..
If i choose MRP type XO in ECC - Master Data & Transactional Data is moving properly to APO.
As we are using MRP in ECC6.0..and the MRP Type is PD...
I want to CIF the Master Data & Transactional Data using MRP Type PD? is it possible?How?

Hi Rajesh,
As visu rightly indicated, it is always safer to use XO while planning in APO. Still, if the business requirement compels to use PD, you can cif with PD, then copy the data from active to an inactive version and then carry out the simulation planning. Once results are copied, you can change the mrp type to xo in R/3 and re-cif it. Then you can compare the result in APO between active and inactive versions.

Re-load from ECC6

Weu2019re on BI7, but using the old BW 3.x Dataflow, no new BI7 Dataflow.
Because of the data quality problem, I would like to delete all the Request from the existing data model (i.e InfoCube, Aggregate, ODS, Master Data, PSA) and perform the full load for all this again.
1.) For InfoCube, I will right-click the InfoCube ->Manage ->Request tab, then select the Request and click on the Delete button manually.
2) For Aggregate, in InfoCube ->Roll Up tab, click on Aggregates button, then open the InfoCube, then click on Deactivate button. (after the re-load, I need to click on Activate button again)
3) For ODS, I will right-click the ODS -> Manage ->Request tab, then select the Request and click on the Delete button manually.
4) PSA, I will right-click on each Datasource ->Manage, then select the Request and click on the Delete button manually.
Questions:
A) What about the ODS Change Log table? How can I delete them?
B) What I understand is Master Data will always be overwritten. So there is no need for me to delete the data for each Master Data correct? Because when I re-load all the data from ECC6, all the data in the Master Data will be overwritten, correct?
C) Is there any other thing that I need to take care in order for me to re-load all the data again from ECC6 into BW?

What happen if we didn't delete the Change Log? Will it cause duplicate record later?
1.) For InfoCube, I will right-click the InfoCube ->Manage ->Request tab, then select the Request and click on the Delete button manually.
Is there a way to delete all the Request in the InfoCube in background instead of one by one manually?
Also, what happen if the Request in the InfoCube has been compressed, and it also have Aggregate? How to delete them?

Extract data from ECC to Oracle using Data Services 4.0

How to extract data from ecc6.0 Business content extractors to oracle using sap bo data services 4.0

Are you trying to use the SAP BW Business Content to extract data out of ECC and load into Oracle tables with Data Services? If that's the case, then you cannot do that. The SAP BW Business Content was developed to only be used in conjunction with SAP BW. When using Data Services to access the extractors in ECC, it has to have an SAP BW InfoPackage associated with it to execute. In this architecture, Data Services is only a pass through from ECC to BW and allows the ability to do some transformations of data prior to loading into the EDW layer (staging tables basically) on SAP BW.
To connect ECC to Oracle, you're going to have to have all of the SAP BusinessObjects supplied Function Modules loaded onto ECC, along with a non-dialog logon account that has the ability to pass dynamic ABAP programs, generate the programs and schedule them. Depending on how you want to process the output, you may also have to have the ability to write to files on the ECC application servers and have an FTP account created on the application servers that can GET flat files and potentially DELETE them (you're going to need to delete periodically, otherwise your jobs will crash when the file space allocation has been consumed).

About Routing transfer from ECC6 to ECC5

Dear all,
We need transfer routing data from ECC6 to ECC5,Because of our tech dept create routing at the Ecc6 system,But our manufacture at the Ecc5 system,Now we need transfer routing from Ecc6 to Ecc5,we try the idoc message "LOIROU02",It cann't create inbound parameter at the ECC5.Did you have a good idea for this issue?

Hi Yang,
I transferred routing in this way. 1) use RCPBTCO1 this program to generate dataset. You use this report to generate a dataset in order to transfer routing data from one ERP system to another ERP system. Then you use the dataset for batch input in the other ERP system.
The program, RCPTRA01 takes the data from the sequential file and makes batch input session for creating routings. The following application transactions are available currently:
CA01 Create routing
CA11 Create reference operation set
QP01 Create inspection plan
TRANSACTION CODE: OP8D
Check this this one program will create batch input file other program will create batch input. Then in receiver system run the sm35 that will create routing.

Extraction fo data for SEM 6 from ECC6

We are working on to set up SEM 6.0 with ECC6 as the transactioanl system.
Please could you help solving the following doubts in this regard: -
1) Is this true that in order to get consolidation relevant fields (like Trading partner, Partner profit center
etc.) we should use DS 0SEM_BCS_10 and not DS 0FI_GL_10? SAP Note 852971 suggests as follows: -
'.......The DataSource 0FI_GL_10 is available in the BI business content for the extraction of data of the leading ledger from the new general ledger accounting to BW. However, only one part of the transferred fields can be updated by the structure of the data flow saved in the BI content. This is due to technical constraints during the update into an ODS object. The partner fields that are relevant for consolidation are not updated in the InfoProvider 0FI_GL_10 and, therefore, you cannot use it as the "staging" InfoProvider for SEM-BCS.
SAP delivers the DataSource 0SEM_BCS_10 for the data collection of the leading ledger from the new general ledger into the consolidation. This allows you to set up another data transfer branch to SEM-BCS without affecting the data transfer to the InfoProvider of the new general ledger......'
What is not clear from above is whether we need to use both the data sources or we can manage with 0SEM_BCS_10.
2) Is the BI content statging cube for BCS 0FI_GL_10?
3) I believe that we need to create some other data sources to load data from non-leading ledgers. Are we going to load data from non-leading ledgers to the same staging cube in BW (0FI_GL_C10)? If yes how the data will be differentiated? There could be various sets of data in the same inforprovider for each parallel ledger.
Please advise.

1. We use 0SEM_BCS_10. It clear said in notes that 0FI_GL_10 is not useful.
2. No, AFAIK, it's a custom cube.
3. If you use the flex GL why you are going to use non-leading ledger.

Order mismatch in selected data from 4.6C to ECC6

Hello Experts,
We are upgrading from 4.6C to ECC6. I came across a select query on a custom table, which gives different order of data from 4.6C to ECC6. Data (no. of records) is same in both the servers but order is different. Table doesn't have indexes in either 4.6C or ECC6. What would be the cause for order change?
Further, in 4,6C, ECC6 and data bases order of the data is totally different. Select query have some conditions in where clause with select options, but in both the cases (4.6C and ECC6) I am not passing any data from the selection screen so am getting entire data from the data base.

This kind of behaviour is usually encountered when "kernel" or "database" are upgraded. The Open-SQL optimizer may choice another way to select the data that change the order they are provided to the programs. Correct programs sort the data they receive or use explicit ORDER BY clause in their SELECT statement.
Correct the report(s) by adding the 'ORDER BY' clause to the SELECT statements. If the clause is not specified then the records may be returned in a random sequence. Even if the records are usually returned in primary key sequence, you should not rely on this happening.
Perform some [Search for SAP Notes|http://service.sap.com/notes] on "primary key" keyword for your systems.

To trigger IDoc these configurations should be done in the SAP 4.6, XI and ECC 6.0.
SAP XI
1) RFC Destination (SM59)
a) Choose create.
b) Specify the name of the RFC destination
c) Select connection type as 3 and save
d) In the technical settings tab enter the details SAP SID/URL and system number#.
e) Enter the Gateway host as same details above SID/URL.
f) Gateway service is 3300+system number#.
g) In the Logon /Security tab, enter the client user & Password details of Destination system.
h) Test the connection and remote logon.
2) Create Port (IDX1)
a) Select create new button
b) Enter the port name as SAP+SID (The starting char should be SAP)
c) Enter the destination client.
d) Enter the RFC Destination created in SAP R/3 towards other system.
e) Save
3) Load Meta Data for IDOC (IDX2)
a) Create new
b) IDOC Message Type
c) Enter port created in IDX1.
SAP R/3 (4.6 and ECC 6.0)
1) RFC Destination (SM59)
a) Choose create.

b) Create the Partner no. name as same the logical system name of the destination system.
c) Select Partner type LS

e) Click on the + button to select the message type.
f) Select Partner no. and LS which ever create above.
g) Select Message type
h) Select Process code related to the Message type.
I) save.

3. Define 1 RD and ID.
4. Only create an receiver IDoc CC.

Xcelsius SP2 has only a direct connectivity to SAP BW.
If you have BusinnesObjects Enterprise Server and you have installed the SAP Integration Kit, you could connect to ECC:
As a workaround for getting to ECC Data, you can use Crystal Reports and Live Office. Basically you build a crystal report with the data from ECC. Then you will use Live Office to fetch that data to a Excel Workbook. Then you can import that excel workbook in Xcelsius.
