Hello having a few problems and well... I need a bit of help. About 2 months ago our old router stopped working (befsr41 version 4.1) I don't know
what happen. After awhile (today) I finally decided to go out and buy a new router because me and my family were fed up sharing 1 computer.
We had one computer hooked up to the modem but normally we have 2 computers and a playstation 2 hooked up. Well this is where the bigger
problem begins. The new router only hooks up one computer.. I tried hooking the same computer with the same wires to each port. It works fine.
But when I try to hook up the other computer or the playstation 2 with different wires it doesn't connect. Struct me as odd so I plugged the other
computer and playstation 2 with different wires directly into the modem and wallah it works. But it doesn't seem to work when plugged into the
new router. Why does this router only hook up to one computer but to nothing else? Even when there is only one thing plugged in besides the modem to the router. Also when its plugged in it says limited or no connectivity. Is there something I am doing wrong? Also when I tried to register
the router here on the site...I can't find the serial number. Or it is there but I don't know which numbers? There is several combinations of numbers.
Which one am I suppose to use?

Whats the Model number of your Router? If you consider EZXS55W as Router, then its not an Router, its only a Ethernet Switch. If you connect the Switch to your Modem then only your 1 computer will be able to go online from the Switch.
To make your 2 computer and PlayStation go Online at a same time, then you need to get a Wired ( BEFSR41 is an Wired Router ). Using these router your computer and PlayStation will be able to go online.

I'm not sure I understand the question, is the message tone going more then once?
Turn off repeat message alert here:
settings > notifications > messages > repeat alert > never
Some people have found this does not stop the repeat miessage tone,

I am on Acrobat DC trial. On earlier versions have no problem with duplex printing. Now with DC, it's impossible. I have tried downloading latest printer software, etc, etc. Nothing seems to0 work. Any ideas please?

Ralph, Thanks for replying. There where no received SIP messages at all just the INVITE being sent but I have made some more progress. The mini does indeed just work. I can do everything that you are supposed to do to other ichat users on the internet. Very nice.
The imac is still playing up but I have got further. I had peerguardian2 installed which unknown to me doesn't need to be running to prevent you for accessing 'barred' IP addresses. snatmap.mac.com is barred in the lists! I discovered this when I saw one of your other posts showed how to turn on terminal logging for ichat. Now that I have turned off peerguardian2 (using the disable filters option) I can make calls to the testbot and see the adverts. I have even done a video conference with the two testbots. I will just uninstall peerguardian2.
However, I can not get a AV chat working to a real user....

I have tried all the options for quicktime streaming but will try 1.5Mb/s again.
The ichat bandwidth limit is set to "none". I am in New Zealand and I have standard ADSL (not ADSL2+) 7.6M down 512K up. The mini config is also set to none.
Internet sharing is off.
I have had parallels on the machine but the two interfaces that it installed "Parallels Host-Guest" and "Parallels NAT" are configured 'off' and show as not connected. Is this enough? I will uninstall parallels and see if that helps since I don't use it. I also have VMware's thing installed but that doesn't seem to add any interfaces.
I need to capture a full trace of the imac to other ichat user to see what is happening but will update when I have does your suggested changes or have a trace

The quiz review button is inconsistent - sometimes it shows the ticks and crosses other times it doesn't - did you find a solution? I'd dearly like to be able to tidy up the ticks!

If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop

* Install the new version that you have downloaded

Hi, glad that worked for you. Also thanks for the explanation as how you came about this. Yes, from my understanding any Install of the CS5, even a trial version Installs the 10.1 (beta/prerelease) versions. It is not clear to me or others why the 10.1 was used in the CS5 instead of the latest version (10.0.45.2). My only guess is that the 10.1 is very close to being released as a shipping version (final release) to the public. The 10.1 had a target date of the first half of 2010. Perhaps that was the reasoning. This is just my opinion:-)
As I said, many users are having this problem, not just with the CS5, but they Install the 10.1 thinking that will solve whatever problem they may be having with the latest version.

well nobody bothered to give me a hint on what to do, maybe because the problems with the new version of iTunes are really a lot, there is an enormous amount of people out there that have all sort of different problems including mine so I have decided to return to the previous version which works fine and wait untill the apple people come up with a decent product ....

you need to download the latest OPatch by searching http://support.oracle.com for 'How To Download And Install The Latest OPatch Version [ID 274526.1]'
After which you can start with the Patching of OBIEE.

A different version of the problem loading raw images edited in LR 3.3 to CS4

I have recently upgraded LR2 to LR3 (now up to 3.3). I have CS4 extended and ACR 5.7. Haven't printed for some months now because I have moved overseas (UK to Malaysia) until yesterday. The printing was a disaster because the colours printed are not as the finished print files. So I have been investigating (calibrated my monitor etc) and then I noticed any LR3 edited Nikon raw file when edited in CS4 carrying across the LR3 settings was so bad and very different to the LR3 version. The nice vibrant LR3 image was dull with inaccurate and toned down colours as though a piece of grey glass had been put in front of it.
So I have read as many of the forum questions on the related issue and have not found an answer or more to the point a solution. I run a MacPro with the latest Snow Leopard OS but all of the fixes I have tried don't change the problem. Is it a compatability problem or an error by me due to some obscure setting or something else? Never had the problem with LR2 and the same Photoshop CS4 software.
I also lost most of my LR2 edit setting for a good percdentage of the edited files when I upgarded to LR3. Don't know if this is related or another problem as now I have to redo all of the files that have lost their edited changes.
I would appreciate any help in solving this/these issues.

The question posted by me has not been answered and I am pulling my hair out trying to have my Lightroom/CS4 image processing work flow that has worked for nearly 2years back to normal.
I might as well not have lightroom as opening a lightroom 3.3 edited image in CS4 removes all of the editing done in lightroom. This appears to be true since I upgraded to v 3.3. As one person who posted in another theme suggested I tried saving a Tiff of the lightroom changes which I did via Nik Efex (I do not know how to save a raw file as a Tiff in LR as I don't do it as part of my normal workflow) but it reverted to the totally unedited version of the raw file when it opened in CS4.
Is there a problem with LR3.3 that Adobe are keeping quiet on. There was no warning when I picked uop the 'updated software' message when I opened LR a short while back. Now I am unable to use either as the processing route I use in LR is very fast compared to CS4 (in my view) and I do not have the time to completely change my work flow. I could revert back to LR3.2 but that may lose all of my editing and cause me no end of problems.
As this is an Adobe forum I thought these problems would be discussed with a lot more answers.

PhotoShop CC - Version 14.2 - Problem with File Menu

After installation of PhotoShop CC version 14.2 when I bring up the File Menu and click on "Browse in Bridge" instead of launching Bridge it launches the Creative Cloud update/install application. Some where some parimeter file is messed up, my guess.
Anyone else seeing the same thing?

This is a stock answer, but you can hold down the Ctrl-Alt-Shift keys and start Photoshop. The reset preferences dialog will show up. You can reset Prefs and see if it fixes this.
The other is a bit more drastic,
Uninstall Photoshop CC
Run the CC Cleaner tool Download it from this help link, and carefully follow instructions.

ITunes version 9.1 and Iphone 3GS version 4 syncing problem

I updated my Iphone to the newest (4.0) software but when I plugged it in, it came up saying that the Iphone "Iphone" cannot be used because it requires iTunes version 9.2 or later but when I check for updates and the pop up comes up saying A new version of iTunes (9.2) is available. Would you like to download it now? and I press Download iTunes, it says my software is up to date. How can I fix this problem? It doesn't even recognize my phone any more. I tried downloading the new iTunes from the Apple website but to no avail. Help!

try deleting itunes completely off ur computer and then re install the latest version and see if that works

To be honest, probably not. I have both models and there is very little difference in the signal power among the two devices since the broadcast power of wireless routers is limited by law. The law has not changed, and the AirPorts are running at 100% power by default.
You will likely do better to add an AirPort Express or AirPort Extreme to "extend" the wireless signal that you have. This can be done by connecting the AirPorts using a wired Ethernet connection (strongly preferred) or by configuring the new device to "extend" the signal using wireless only.

Missing iPid Icon/iTunes Version 7.01 Problems

Ever since downloding iTunes version 7.01 I've been unable to transfer any songs to my iPod Mini. Also the iPod icon is no longer on my PC. I badly need help as I've gone through all the tips and recommendations given by Apple and STILL nothing can be transferred to my iPod

I was able to fix my problem by going into add and delete programs. Select itunes and there will be an area "click here for support infomation" Check and run repair. Do this for both Itunes and Quick Time, but do Quick time first. After I did that itunes came right up and started to run. Good Luck!!

Uninstall ITune Version 7.6 problems

I was one of the few people on the planet who had not installed Window XP Service Pack 2. Recently, I installed it, hoping to fix a few problems, and was (unknowingly) also able to install iTunes v.7.6. However, Service Pack 2 crippled my computer, creating a molasses-like experience. I successfully uninstalled it with one tiny exception: iTunes v.7.6...grrrr. iTunes will not work or uninstall without Service Pack 2.
I have:
Deleted all iTunes/Quicktimes/Apple related files from my "Programs Files"
Deleted Apple, Inc folders from my computer's registry.
And I am still not unable to install a older version of iTunes. Though it seems not to matter really since I likely will not be able to purchase any music with out v. 7.6.
Any suggestions as to how to get iTunes up and running on my again zippy computer. Or have I sacrificed iTunes for efficient computing?
