F-02 with asset retirement: Trans. type not possible - No affil. company

Hello Gurus,
I am struggling with the following, I hope you can help me:
We want to sell an investment using a trading partner. When entering the asset retirement transaction type 230, I get error message AA 389 Trans. type not possible (No affiliated company specified). I however enter the trading partner through 'More data' but when coming back to the asset retirement, T. type 210 is written and changing it to 230 gives me the error.
I am using document type DR for which the flags 'enter trading partner' and 'Inter co. postings' are set. I tried without the flag 'Inter co. postings', no success.
I have tried with Trans. type 210 and changing the line item after simulation, no success as well.
The target document is:

Hello Alex,
Try F-92, on the screen for creating the revenue line item, i.e. the credit side, you must activate the indicator "asset retirement." > Next, press 'Enter' key, after which the screen 'Create Asset Retirement' appears and in this dialog box screen enter the appropriate 'Transacion Type' instead.

I could go to AO76 to mark the 'post to affiliated company'.
How can I check which transaction type it uses? With the transactio type group? Or something else...?

actually, the problem lies with the transfer of assets under construction to low value assets with are happening in the CURRENT year, and not the previous year. AuC to LVA transfers from previous years are allowed, but not the one in the current year. Because it uses a different transfer transaction type... The transfer variant 4 (= transfer within company code) is the correct one I assume.

Transaction type 180 not possible (no affiliated company specified)

Hi,
I am trying to do the down payment Request in F-47 with Purchase order and asset. When I am trying to do this by giving the Asset number and Purchase order with Item 10. I am getting this error Transaction type 180 not possible (no affiliated company specified). The vendor is also not linked to trading partner and not an affilated company specific.
Please help me solving this issue.

Hi Raj,
If in OBY6, no company ID is defined for company codes, they are NOT affiliated companies and the opposite.
Please check also via OBA7 (document type), if the field "Enter trading partner" is flagged
If yes -> you need to use a transaction type (AO74) which post to affiliatedcompany
If no -> you need to use a transaction type which does NOT post to affiliated

Fixed Assets Config - Trans type to partially reverse a previous retirement

Hi experts,
Is it possible to create a transaction type to partially reverse a prevous retirement? When trying to create/define a new retirement transaction type I am unable to specify a balance type, as it appears a retirement always defaults to a credit balance. I also tried setting up an acquisition transaction type, as this allows me to specify a debit/credit transaction assignment; however, I can not set it to belong to the retirement transaction type group. I also tried creating an acquisition trans. type that belongs to the acquisition trans. type group and set it a debit assignment, and retirement for both the consolidation trans. type and asst hist sheet grp. This transaction allowed me to debit the asset to reverse a previous retirement, but the transation display on the asset acquisitions report and not the asset retirement report. We need this partial reverse retirement transaction to display on the retirement reports for tax reporting purposes.
Our business users need this transaction type as they will retire assets in month 1, and then in month 2 recieve additional data that reveals the retirement in month 1 was too much, so they want to partially reverse the month 1 retirement in month 2 (so leave the original retirement transaction in place in month 1). Is this possible?

Go to AB08 and enter company code/asset and select the month 1 retirement document and reverse
And post a new retirement in month 2.
After month end depreciation all values will be adjusted in GL accounts as well

OER - Identical asset names in different asset types not possible

We are creating a service repository in the OER. The repository contains a logical level and a physical level, with logical service entities and physical service entities. We first defined a metamodel and implemented the objects in the metamodel as asset types in the OER.
Now we encounter the problem that it is not possible that assets in differet asset types have the same name and version. Why is that? Shouldn't it be possible to have a logical and physical service with the same name? Is there a way to make this possible, to adjust the constraints in the OER for example?

Issues with Finder - window 'view type' not sticking, picture backgrounds

Since my upgrade from Snow Leopard, I've noticed a few minor problems with the Finder in Lion.
Can anyone confirm if these are known bugs in Lion?
1. At random, certain folders will not remember their view type anymore. Some do, some don't. Logging in as root and changing them there has fixed some, but others keep reverting back to a "default". It happens at any point while I am using the system, even without logging out or restarting. I've changed folder view types and come back 10 minutes later and they've changed on me! I used to have this problem with Tiger and Leopard, but not Snow Leopard. Seems it's back with Lion 10.7.0.
2. Under Snow Leopard I had various JPG and PNG photos used as backgrounds for various folders in icon view. Under Lion, almost all of these backgrounds now only occupy one small corner of the window. They are not being displayed at their full size. The fact that they worked in Snow Leopard indicates there are no problems with the photos themselves.
3. Various problems with grid layout in icon view. Dragging an icon to it's proper position in the grid will often not "stick". i.e. I line it up perfectly with the grid yet the icon goes flying off half way across the screen to another position. The Finder seems a lot less forgiving than Snow Leopard in this regard.
Since everything was runing perfectly for me in Snow Leopard I assume these are bugs that will hopefully be ironed out in future system updates.

IDOC - process code with error "Application Object Type not planned'

I am doing an inbound idoc.... in TCODE we42, i trying to put function module which i created, attached to the process code.
However, when i put my function module ZIDOC_INBOUND to the process code... it comes out error, 'Application Object Type not planned.'
Why is this so?

You can check them with tcode OMJJ in 'Reversal / follow-on movements types' or in view (you can use tcode SM30) V_156N_VC.
In my system I can see movs. 701 to 718.

Dual Boot with Snow Leopard and Mavericks not possible?

I have a Early 2011 Macbook Pro with 2,3 GHz i7 Quad and two 512 GB SSDs (the secondary disk in an optical drive bay enclosure). This Macbook Pro can run Snow Leopard and Mavericks on the primary disk without problems. When I try to set up a dual boot system however, problems appear and it looks like it is not possible. When I start from Snow Leopard, I cannot select Mavericks as a start volume and vice versa. The error message says something like "Bless tool" cannot use this disk, i.e. unmount and boot from it. The problem remains when I exchange the disks (putting the primary disk in the drive enclosure and vice versa). When I put the secondary drive in an external case however, it is possible to boot from it - but strange things happen when the system starts: My computer clock is reset to 1/1/2001, WiFI passwords are not remembered for more than one session, disk permissions are reported as "repaired" but do apear as not repaired when I check them again - and other issues). I have verified both disks already and repaired permissions but that does not change the situation. So my experience is different from what is said in https://discussions.apple.com/thread/566781. It looks like the latest Mavericks cannot coexist with Snow Leopard on neiter a secondary internal drive nor on an external drive. This is strange since both disks and systems work flawless when run alone. Any suggestions to solve this problem?

When I check the Mavericks disk in the optical drive with disk utility after booting / running Snow Leopard on the primary disk I get som errors, see below ("disk utility Info"). So after all, I decided to erase the disk and install Mavericks new. But even erasing the disk is not possible when it is in the optical drive enclosure. I get this error message:
"Volume Erase failed with the error:
Could not unmount disk"
When I put this disk into an external case connected via USB however, it starts and runds MAvericks without any Problem. Same happens when I put thie Mavericks disk into the internal primary hard disk place.

With iTunes 11, it is not possible to sync my iPhone, and my iPod with my computer

Whith the new iTunes 11, it is not possible to sync my iPhone and my iPod with my computer.

Issue with Asset Retirement without Revenue (ABAVN)

Hi Experts, hope that you are able to help shed some light on an issue with retirement without revenue (Scrapping).
We have an asset capitalised in FY 2007 with two depreciation areas 01 - Book & 15 Tax. There have then been settlements made to the asset from WSB Elements using transaction type 331 & 336. These were through FY 2008 and depreciation was calculated correctly throughout this time.
The issue was then in FY 2009 when there have been negative settlements posted (adjustments) to the asset and then the asset was retired. The retirement was posted but the values aren't what was expected. It was my belief that the posting should be credit APC, debit accumulated depreciation and then posting to a loss account defined in AO86.
Period Control are the same for retirement '01' for both the straight-line method in book depreciation and the declining balance method in the tax depreciation area .
The posting has been pretty much as expected in the book depreciation area - but in the tax depreciation area where the depreciation key is declining balance there is a reported gain from the retirement.
The report for depreciation are 01 - book shows retirement $1m split between $1.1m in PY and -$0.1m in Current Year.
The issue is that in the tax depreciation area the amount posted for retirement is $1.0 but depreciation posted is $1.125 and -$0.5 with a respective Gain for both prior year (PY) and current year... why has this happened ???

I've solved checking the limitation in Customizing. There was a limitation for the Retirement: this was activated only for first Depreciation Area, so for the other ones no retirement will be calculated and net book value was always not equal to zero.

Asset down payment reverse not possible in AA

Hi all of you,
I have one issue of AA down payment made last year and the payment was made through AAP(Automatic payment methodT-F110) and the period is closed now.
Know the check payment is to reverse but SAP would not make the reversing entre through FCH8 it give error of different financial year posting not allowed, I have tried it through FBRA and FB08 and also asset transaction reversing by T- AB08 also, but it give same error.
Kindly suggest any solution through which I can post reversal enty in current period, with out effecting the previous year.
