F-28 Line Layout option

Hi Gurus
I am encountering a case where one user is not able to see a field in line layout. User donot have access to change the layout anf configuration has already been checked that field is set for that layout.
I understand that line layout is not user specific in SAP. Could you advise something for this?

Hi,
it is like an excel sheet. Select the edge of the coloumn that u want to hide, (+ sign cursor will appear)
Use it to close the coloumn. If this is to be done permanently and for all users, select edit layout option(right hand top) and select administrator , to edit layout and save it in a variant name

Line layout option for G/L account

Dear All,
When we clear G/L account using tcode F-03, we get line layout as
Assignment, document no, document type, Posting key, posting date, amount.
I want to add material number column to this line layout.
1. I tried using IMG -> Fi-> AR/AP -> Vendor accounts->Line items-> Open item processing -> define line layout
Here we cannot add material in line layout, because fields are extracted from structure RFOPS.
MATNR(material number) field is exist in table BSEG, not in structure RFOPS. So we cannot add MATNR field in Line Layout here.
2. In this path, IMG -> FI -> G/L accounting -> Buisnes stransactions->open item clearing -> Make settings for processing open items -> Here we do not have option to change line layout for clearing of G/L account. Here we can change it for diaply and change documents.
Could any one help me in this case?

Hi Nidhi,
1.Please refer to note: 647773 and note:693288 if you want to make another field available in open line items seletion screen. these are modification notes.
2.as far as I confirmed in sap testing systems( release 470 and 600), there is create and change button existed, so if you don't have change and create button available in T-cd:O7Z1, I guess that you don't have the change or create authorization.
Addition if you want to maintain default value in T-cd:07V1, please double click the layout,then you can define it.

creation of sub-screens.
selection-screen begin of tabbed block <name of the tab> for < height of the tab in no's> lines.
eg;
selection-screen tab(20) l1 <data element> user-comand <name of the funcion code>
selection-screen end of block <name of the tab strip>.
eg;
selection-screen begin of tabbed block mytab for 10 lines.
selection-screen tab(20) l1 user-command tab1.
selection-screen tab (20) l2 user-command tab2..
selection-screen end of block mytab.
Under initialization.
data element = text-01.
data element = text=02.
How to initialize the tab with default screen.
<name of the tab> - prog = sy-repid.
<name of the tab>- dynnr = '<subscreen no>'.
<nane of the tab>-activetab = '<user-command for the strip>

LAYOUT option in classical report

HI all,
Is it possible to provide SORT options, LAYOUT options (CHANGE layout, SAVE layout) in classical report as similar to those options in ALV? If so, how to display those icons at the top of the report as similar to ALV?

Fixed Layout option in Web Dynpro for Java personalization

Hi,
i've been searching the forums for an answer on the following topic but couldn't find it so far.
We've adjusted the SAP standard Time Reporting WD Java application (version 6.00 SP15) via the Control-Right Mouse button. To fit the screen in most browser windows we've removed some columns and set others to fixed width. It turned out that not all columns would accept the customized width unless the Fixed Layout option was set to Yes (instead of Not Personalized).
So we have set that option and the result is that also the first column (the one where you can click on to select a row) dissapeared. We've upgrade ESS to version 6.03 SP5 and the application no longer works as before. In order to be able to delete lines from the application you need the first column again. And by disabling the Fixed Layout property this column comes back, also the fucntionality but of course the layout gets messed up again.
The questions I have are: what does the Fixed Layout option do? And is it possible to enable the first column without disabling the Fixed Layout property?

Since screens/view will be differ by its resolution
Better to follow the streamline approach to its content (i.e default 100% not 100px).
I didnt find any fixed Layout option but different layout (ROW,FLOW,GRID,MATRIX)
Are you talking about Table Fixed Layout ?

Field Status It determines entering data in field is mandatory or optional.it also determines whether a field should be shown or it should be suppressed.Also status can be only display i.e u can only see the field but cannot change it.
Screen layout: It determines how screen should look like;what tab should be there and under each tab what fields should be there.
Line Layout It determine the sequence of the lines on a data entry form or standard report.

Process open item line layout

Dear all,
Tcode f-03 or f-53 or f-28 when click process open item, the system will lead you to process open item screen.
If I go to menu settings -> line layout and in the line layout screen i choose other variants say by reference, when i use the same transaction say f-03, the process open item not able to show me the default line layout anymore.
May I know how to set back the default?

Hi SAPPER,
Instead, click on Editing Options tab and maintain the Line Layout variant in that screen and save.
The option through which you are choosing is just to choose on run time basis, which will not be available the next time. Save it in Editing Options, and it will be available to you next time also when you login.

IN ALV Report 'SAVE LAYOUT' option missing

Dear All,
I have created one report in ALV GRID using ABAP OBJECTS(Using class CL_GUI_CUSTOM_CONTAINER and
CL_GUI_ALV_GRID).But in output when i click on change layout option i am not getting SAVE layout option.
I have already passed I_SAVE parameter = 'A' while calling metod SET_TABLE_FOR_FIRST_DISPLAY. But i didnt worked.

Hi,
You can manage display variants by using parameters, is_variant and i_save of set_table_for_first_display. Here are options for variant handling. <structure_name> is the variant-defining structure of type DISVARIANT. The field report in this structure should contain the value of sy-repid.

Error While selecting Layout option in tcode SFP

I am getting the below error when i select the layout option in tcode SFP.
Could not start Layout Designer (see long text)
Message no. FPUIFB086
Diagnosis
The forms design tool for developing the form layout could not be started; either it is not installed or there are errors in the installation.
Procedure
Make sure that you have the forms design tool installed on your desktop (the tool is part of the SAPGUI installation).
Also read SAP Note 801524.
How to resolve this error?

This note describes two possible installation procedures:
Direct installation on the workstation
Update installation server (for administrators)
Solution
Direct installation on the workstation
Product: "SAP Interactive Forms" - "Adobe LiveCycle Designer"
              Start "ALDsetup. exe" directly on your workstation. If you had already installed an older version of "Adobe Designer 6.0" using "SAP GUI" or "SAP NetWeaver Development Studio", you first need to delete the older "Forms Design Tool" version in the corresponding installation.
Update installation server:
If you have integrated an SAP GUI installation server with
6.40 Compilation 3
6.40 Compilation 2
6.20 Compilation 6
you can add the following product:
Product: "SAP Interactive Forms" - "Adobe LiveCycle Designer":
              To do this, start the program

Layout options for what? Which iPhoto are you referring to? iPhoto 2 for iOS or iPhoto 9.5 on the Mac?

Line Layout with Reference Key in F-03

Dear all,
Iu2019m facing the following problem.
I modified the line layouts for F-03 through O7Z4S. In particular I created a line layouts with the field Reference key 1. The problem is that in F-03, using this variant, the field XREF1 appeared always blank. The same thing happens for XREF2 while for XREF3 everthing is ok.
Is something that I forgot in customizing?

I created the same - Reference Key in IDES it works if you create with text and then insert Reference key as part of Field with this.

it depends on the user parameters.
U have to identify the parameter id and u have to activate it in user maintainance partameters .
su01 -> parameters.
ex . parameter id -> SD_VARIANT_MAINTAIN -> X
so u can save layout now.

1. We need to do 1 additional thing.
data : GS_variant TYPE DISVARIANT.
GS_variant-REPORT = sy-repid.
2. while calling pass this parameter also.
IS_VARIANT = GS_variant
It will work now.
3. Moreover, I_SAVE has 3 options.
I_SAVE = SPACE
Layouts cannot be saved.
I_SAVE = 'U'
Only user-defined layouts can be saved.
I_SAVE = 'X'
Only global layouts can be saved.
I_SAVE = 'A'
Both user-defined and global layouts can be saved.

Go to SU01/SU3 ( to ur ID) select parameters tab and then scrol down and press F4 select SD_VARIANT_MAINTAIN and in the next field select A or X then try it will allow u to save ur own variant.(the save icon come to screen variant selection screen)

By default, SAP user can't save report layout in some SAP SD t-code such as: VA05 and SDO1. The 'save' menu will be grey. But, you actually can save the layout by adding a parameter in your SAP user profile. You do that with t-code: SU3. Go to 'parameters' tab and add new parameter id, which is: SD_VARIANT_MAINTAIN'. The parameter value for that is 'A'. Then save your user profile and try again to save layout in VA05 or SDO1 t-code.

Alv drilldown-fields are hiding in secondary list-when layout option used

hey guys,
i displayed alv grid using fms.
the basic list has default layout option.
but when user gives a deault layout,and try to see secondary list,the fields appear as hidden.
one has to unhide them manualy to see.

Check the Field catalog Before displaying Secondary list, If NO_OUT is set for Hidden fields.
