F-54 -  f-44 which one for adv pmnt clearing

which t.code is used for adv pmnt clearing f-54 or f-44

it depends on the payment method and in what way u r making a payment.... i think in normal case we do not require f-44because we are paying the full invoice amount and vendor is cleared ...  but when there are cases in which  payment is made as a partial  payment or something like  when ur payment is made but vendor is not cleared...
say for example
my invoice amount is 1000 and i m making a partial payment of 700 so in FBL1N it shows both 1000 and 700 as open item in this case u need to use f-44 to clear the vendor
hope u clear abt it

Only you can make that determination. All things being equal the 2.5 GHz model is slower.

  • Switching to Mac - which one for me?

I can't find a suitable place for this question, but my son is starting a job at a tv studio and wants a mac to get into video creation and editing. Which one should he get for this purpose? He has a pc, so he has keyboard, video and mouse. Thanks.
    pc right now   Windows XP

Hello and Welcome to Apple Discussions.
He should go for the Mac Pro. As a professional he'll appreciate the expandability in the coming months and years. iMacs are fantastic general purpose machines and ideal for home video editing but if you're doing it day-in, day-out the Mac Pro is the way to go. They don't cost a great deal more either:
    iMac
    24" LCD
    1x2.1.6GHz Merom
    1Gb RAM (3GB)
    250Gb HDD (750Gb)
    8x DVD±RW DL
    BT and Airport
    $1,999.00
    Mac Pro
23" LCD (with then option to connect up to a 30" too)
    2x2.0GHz Xeon Woodcrest
    1Gb RAM (16Gb)
    250Gb HDD (3Tb)
16x DVD±RW DL (x2 or Bluray in future)
    BT and Airport
    $3,278.00
It's fair to say that's over a thousand dollars more but when you look at the specs and the room the Mac Pro allows for the future it's a much better bet.

  • Quadro k4000 vs GTX 760. which one for AE

I have 2 Computers and planning to mix them up together as possible. I built a PC with quadro k4000 last year because I was graduated as 3D animator and i plan to work as Animator, plus I also have another PC with GTX 760. and now I'm currently working as Video Editor. so here are my questions:
    - k4000 and gtx 760 which one would do better in AE and Pr ?
    - I read some articles said: "quadro and gtx can group up together in one PC". is it really possible ? because some people said yes and some people said no and some people said yes but wont work together blah blah. I really want to know about it, because right now I already have these 2 GPU. and if YES. can you show me how to do it?
there are my both PC specs:
    CPU: core i7 3820 3.66hz
    RAM: 16GB
    SSD 128gb
    HDD 3TB
    MotherBoard: Asus P9X79 PRO
    VGA: asus GTX 760
    Another one is:
    CPU core i7-3930K 3.20GHz
    RAM: 32GB
    SSD: 256gb
    HDD: 3TB x 2
    MotherBoard:  ASRock X79 Extreme6
    VGA: quadro k4000
Can somebody help me to build these 2 PC in just 1 PC as possible ?

I have something similar that I just posted about - my system has both a GTX780 and a Quadro K4200 installed. Eric is right. They work, but the driver installation can be tricky.
Mine is a new build and I am trying to learn how the two cards work together. I expected better performance. I don't understand why setting CUDA acceleration to only the GeForce, when NVidia allows for both CUDA GPUs. I tried every combination with no difference in results. So, I will be following your thread to see what happens.

  • Imac Core 2 vs Core i5 - which one for everyday use?

Planning to replace my current iMac with a new 27" model in the very near future. I can't decide whether to go for the 'basic' core 2 model or stump up the extra for a core i5 model (an extra £250 here in the UK).
Don't know whether anyone has experience of using both but would welcome any feedback on the relative performance in day-to-day use. I'm not into games or heavily processor intensive tasks (eg video encoding); I'll mostly just be web browsing, using iLife (iPhoto mainly), MS Office etc.
Will I notice any real performance difference? Is the extra worth it?
I intend to keep it for at least 3 years so an element of future proofing would be nice (although my current 2006 2.16 Core 2 iMac is still going strong).

I've owned both systems and trust me, the i5 is noticeably faster even on day to day stuff. You also get the better video card. Seriously, it's a no brainer, get the i5. The C2D is certainly no slouch but it doesn't compare and it's much older technology. The i5 turbo's up automatically to 3.2ghz if only one or two of the cores are in use and the memory controller is integrated into the cpu instead of the motherboard which eliminates that bottleneck as well. Macworld summed it up perfectly:
    *Macworld’s buying advice*
With the new 2.66GHz Core i5 iMac and the 2.8GHz Core i7 iMac, Apple has not only blurred the line between consumer and professional systems, it's darn near erased it. The 2.66GHz Core i5 iMac offers faster performance at most tasks than the 2.66GHz Quad-Core Mac Pro. The Core i5 iMac also has more memory and more storage space than the 2.66GHz Quad-Core Mac Pro, while being $500 less (plus you get a 27-inch screen with the iMac). Unless you absolutely require additional PCI cards, multiple internal hard drives, or a lot of RAM, the Core i5 iMac makes a strong case for being the go-to system for most Mac professionals.
    Cheers!

  • 2 versions of Numbers 2.02 and Numbers 09. Which one for Lion?

How do I delete the wrong one?

Version 2.1 is the late one but, as far as I know, version 2.0.5 behave flawlessly under Lion.

Your saying 133MZ ram will work on 100MZ and 133MZ machines and but 100MZ ram will only work on 100MZ machines?
Is the 133MZ noticebly faster than the 100MZ machines? The Power Macintosh G4 "Digital Audio", tends to be a lower priced (used) machine, than the QuickSilver.
I forgot about the processor. Thanks for pointing that out. I contacted OWC and they gave me these compatible models for this particular processor:

  • Arch64 or Arch 32bit? Which ones for me?

First of all, glad to finally be a part of the best linux forum of the best linux distribution. I have been using ArchLinux 32 bit on my desktop at home ever since I first tried it 6 months ago. I must say after using various other distributions it has to be the best one out there ( in my opinion ).
So now to my problem: I just got myself a Lenovo Thinkpad T61p, with 4GB of ram, 200GB HD, a 2.4 Core 2 Duo processor. Ofcourse Arch is going to be my main operating system on it, but I can't decide whether I want to run Arch64 or 32 bit.
Besides having Arch or Arch64 as the native os, I plan on installing the Vista that came with my laptop for "Free" (insert hidden M$ tax here) as a Virtualbox guest. I do use Adobe CS3 and Visual Studio 2005 once in a blue moon so I figure might as well have it on there. I've seen videos of the Compiz-Fusion 3D desktop, and would like to incorporate Vbox with compiz eventually and have a seamless virtualization of Vista. Also, I mostly use this laptop for web/software development. So all that being said.
Are the Arch64 repos as or almost as up to date compared to the Arch 32 bit?
Is it worth even messing with Arch64? I really dont mind tinkering, so can I do everything in Arch64 that I can do in Arch32 (sometimes with a bit of tinkering)?
Also, is the performance gain (for those of you that have used both 64 and i686) worth the hassle? Or should I just stick with 32bit for now? I found various posts that say it is possible to modify the kernel so that all 4GB are recognized on the 32bit. I plant on giving 2GB of the ram to the guest os on virtualbox. Please give me some advice I am torn between my two options.

I've been thinking about this lately, too. I went with Arch64 when I migrated to Arch last week, and while I got everything I need to work now (Wine, 32-bit browser for native Java/Javaws, Skype), I wonder a little if it was the right choice. It took quite a bit of work, though I'm still very much a Linux newbie, so I had to read up extra stuff, but I also learned new things by doing so.
I look at this heap of lib32 packages I got from AUR and wonder how I will keep these properly up-to-date without having to check them manually on a weekly basis. Also the aforementioned packages need manual maintenance and they depend on the effort of the admirable people who maintain them. Some packages take longer to arrive for 64-bit (KTorrent is a current example) and generally the 32-bit support seems better.
My box has 3 GB, which is 1.5 GB more than I actually seem to need, and I probably won't ever upgrade the machine to have more than 4 GB where I would really benefit from 64-bit. I mostly use the computer for typical desktop stuff, including watching movies, playing music, getting text processing work done, mail, web, etc -- just the every day stuff, but nothing that's number-crunching-intensive. I rarely encode video and such where 64-bit would give me an edge.
So, I wonder if I made the right choice. Running Arch64 seems to require more effort and add some tiny bits of inconvenience, without any advantages. Well, actually, the last bit is speculation and based on hearsay. I only had the 64-bit box for a month now, and I never ran a 32-bit Linux on it, so I don't know if it is faster or if there would be no difference. Some people say that a 64-bit OS seems faster to them, but at least as many, if not more, people say that there is no difference at all.
Now that I have everything working, it's moot point, but when KDE4 is released and has matured a bit, I might just back up relevant data and do a reinstall. At that point I would have to decide between 32 and 64 bit again, and somehow 32-bit seems more convenient, unless I learn of advantages of 64-bit for what I do and what I have (less than 4 GB RAM). A lot of the info I found on the topic of performance increase is contradicting.
On the flipside it would just feel so wrong to run a 32-bit OS on a 64-bit machine. Kind of like drinking champagne out of a water glass.

  • Lotus Notes. Which one for Mavericks?

    Hello,
    I have upgraded to Mavericks.
I used Lotus Notes, for work email, replicating my company database.
Since the upgrade Notes 7.02 started crashing everytime I was trying to download new emails or to replicate the database.
New attemps to install different versions failed (8.5 or 9.0 social).
Is there any version of Lotus Notes that is compatible with Mavericks?
    Thanks a lot.

Did you remember to rename or move Notes.app? It conflicts with Apple's Notes.app. I used to use Lotus for work but they also provided standard IMAP and LDAP interfaces that worked great with standard Apple Mail, Calendar, and Contacts apps. Notes uses Java so you will have to have the latest and greatest Java available.
We have Gmail now so I can't help much more. If it is any consolation, Lotus worked better Gmail.

  • Slideshow project settings- which one for best result?

    Hello all
I was wondering if I can get some help.
I am setting up to put several slideshows together with nothing but hi-res photos. No video but for high quality backgrounds and lower thirds.
I am a strictly DV (miniDV) shop for now. However, I was wondering if I can use something like DVCpro or DVCpro HD to produce the slideshow to get some truly hi quality photos on DLP Tv screens. The final product will be delivered on DVD. ( this is not a paying job it is the wedding of my sister-in-law that I photographed).
I have Final Cut Studio 2.
Any help in the right direction would be appreciated
    Brice

    Hi,
I'm not sure that this is going to help you at all because you seem (?) to want to mix HD or similar with DV and there are a lot of issues that could cause difficulties.
However, you can get very good slideshow results using methods explained in a book called Photoshop WOW - if you can get a copy of this it will also provide photoshop 'actions' on DVD to assist in the processing of your pictures.
If you look at another thread on this discussion board for FCP there is some explanation of the process - look for the topic regarding 'Still Images into a Project'.
But I expect that this is not quite what you have in mind.

  • Which one for eSATA?

Is This Extender Cable a better way to go than to add a PCIe card type of controller?
    Advantages/Disadvantages?
    TIA, Geoff

Is This Extender Cable a better way to go than to add a PCIe card type of controller?Advantages/Disadvantages?
    The answer is NO.
NO Hot Swap Support with the Extender Cable
From a cost prospective any extender cable will usually be a little less expensive than a SATA host adapter. However, the SATA controller adds the ability to turn the external enclosure on/off without restarting the Mac Pro.
In contrast, the Extender cable is limited. Any enclosure attached to the extender cable will have to be turned on before the computer is turned on as no hot swap is supported. This can become a major hassle as the user forgets that he needs to restart the computer every time an enclosure attached to the extender cable is turned on. Almost everyone with an extender cable eventually gets tired of restarting the Mac Pro just to access data on the external enclosure
    Extender Cable Pro
    Inexpensive
    Bootable
    Extender Cable Con
    NOT hot swappable
Requires a Mac Pro restart if enclosure is turned on after computer is already on.
Does not support hot swap tray systems as a restart is required.
Does not support advanced RAID sets that some controllers support.
Restarting the computer becomes a major hassle.

Which sometimes stays in the address bar over a completely blank window, (like in the case stated above) and sometimes opens a download window, with the video in mp4. It suggests I open the file with VLC.
Is this a virus or something - or is it something an add-on would be responsible for?
I have the following add-ons (in the way that they are listed on my toolbar):
    Down them all
    Download Helper
Flash Video Downloader (which recently got automaitically updated)
Download flash & video (forgot this add-on's name, that's what it says on the tool tip on mouse-over)
    FlashGot
and GreasMonkey (but with only 2 scripts, and none of them related to videos, just IMDb fixer and Image enlarger)
I have the VLC Media Player Plug-in, could this be the reason this is happening?
I know what you're gonna say - try disabling them to see which one it is. It's complicated :) but I can't, I've got too many windows open, like 700, and shutting Firefox down or restaring it the normal way is near next to impossible sometimes :)
Another way is for me to save my session file and open a new session, and then disable add-ons one by one to see which one's to blame. It's even possible some of them are maybe incompatible with this version of Firefox.
So f someone can tell me if they're having the same problems, and maybe suggest a solution, I'd be happy to hear all about it.
    Thanks in advance :)

Start '''[https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode Firefox in Safe Mode]''' {web Link} by holding down the '''<Shift ''(Mac Options)'' >''' key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

I used to share one apple ID/account with my ex but made a new one for myself recently and logged out of the old one but when I try to update my iBooks (only happens with this app)it asks for the other account's password(which my ex changed by now). I don't understand why this happens when I'm logged into my account and it only happens with that app. Please help, I need to update. :/

Content (apps, music, ibooks, films etc) is tied to the account that originally downloaded it, so if the iBooks app was downloaded using the account that you used to share with your ex then only that account can download updates to it. As it's a free app you could delete it and re-download it under your own account - and then re-download your ibooks into it (or copy the books to your computer's iTunes first via File > Transfer Purchases and then sync them back to the app).
