F-Key became unattached - still works tho'. How to repair?

Hello, fellow Apploneons...
My Powerbook G4's keyboard has been working beautifully. Suddenly, my F key became detached. It is now held in place by a sheet of plastic, and when I carefully press down, it still works. I would like to re-attach the key, but how? What kind of cement or glue do I use? It looks pretty complex on the underside of the key, and it's not really clear where the glue would go.
Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks very much.

Thanks to your link, I now know why I haven't been able to snap the key back
in place. The scissors mechanism, which is in the wrong place, it's stuck on the back of the loose "F" key, instead of on the keyboard where it belongs. I have been able to compare the photo of the "intact scissors mechanism" with the scissors mechanism on my key, and my mechanism is "broken". On page 1 of your recent link, it shows tiny little handle bars both at the left and right top part of the mechanism. Those bars are missing from mine. Now I will go to the iFixit website and ask if I might be able to purchase just that part, or if I will need to buy a whole new keyboard.
Thank you thank you thank you for bringing this information to me. At least now I know what to look for, and once I find it, I know now how to fix it. I'm now going to mark this question as solved, even tho' my key isn't repaired - - YET!

I bought an ipod touch 5th generation around A year ago. Now it has cracked. The crack is not that big but still noticebal. But the Ipod still works perfectly, but it still bothers me that theres a crack on the glass. I read online that apple can trade it for a refurished ipod. But i dont have a warranty or i dont have any of the stuff anymore. Just the charger and the ipod. I lost the box and headphones because ive had it for awhile now. And i tend to lose things. So is there still away for me to trade it in or get it repaired from apple? If you have any information for me that could help me IF YOU HAVE A SOLUTION NOTIFY ME ASAP.

Do not post your personal emails on a public user forum for your own privacy.
Book an appointment at an Apple Store and ask them if you could get an out of warranty service. Apple do not repair devices they replace them so for a price due to accidental damage they may replace your iPod.

Spilled water, but my laptop still works. How can I check for damage?

So a little over a day and a half ago I knocked about 1/4 cup of water onto my 2014 Macbook Pro. It was on but not plugged in. I immediately turned it off and flipped it over at the same time. Some water poured out of the keyboard. Then I cleaned off all the visible water from the screen/keyboard. I popped off some keys to dry off under there, but while I was doing so accidentally turned it on again, and then immediately turned it back off. I put some rice over the keyboard and left it to dry for 36 hours, then put a fan on it for a couple min.
I just turned it back on and it's working totally fine. I plan to take it in to Apple this weekend to get it looked at, but I need to use it for work in the meantime. Is it okay to keep using it, or does using it until then make it more likely that it will die?

At this point, use it. The fact is that the Apple store at best will tell you that there may be telltale indications of corrosion for which no one can do anything about. Probably the life span of the MBP has been lessened but you can hope for the best.

Numeric Key Pad is not working. How do I fix this?

FireFox is an excellent browser but I am now unable to use the Numeric Key pad and at times the whole keyboard will not work until I reboot.
Where is it that I would change whatever settings to use the Numeric Key pad.
The Key Pad works fine otherwise.
I assume the keymap has been remapped?

Thanks to everyone for their replies - I thought that it was just me with this issue but clearly not. Also thank you to Mil_Prep and S2Linda's suggestions, unfortunately all three of my email accounts do not have a "Mail Days To Sync" option - I believe that this option only appears in Mail settings if the account is an exchange email account. Even if I was able to adjust the time period of emails to sync, I don't think that it would help because the email(s) that are going missing can be as recent as one day old, leaving all my earlier emails in the same folder intact - some of which can go back to the year 2002 for instance. I am still convinced that it is a bug with headers in iOS5. Last week I even had a related problem where I had a new email merge with an old email. The senders email address, subject title and date remained the same but the body of the text was replaced with an old email from 2006! Very odd....

No matter what I do, and despite me removing and deleting the rules I previously had set, I cannot get them to go away. And, because they somehow somewhere still exist, they recreate the folders in my mail and place messages there. It's aggravating. Help appreciated!

I'd recommend you take it to an apple store and they will fix it, but will charge you.

My mac, running mavericks, has stopped recognising wifi devices, including time capsule and printer. Wifi Broadband still works. How do I fix this?

Just over a week ago I found my mac would not recognise my wifi printer and attempts to add it again have been fruitless. I then received notification from time machine that my backups to Time Capsule have failed. The last back-up was about the time the printer problem occured. It appears that the mac no longer recognises the wifi devices. I am not aware of any software updates at that time. Has anyone experienced this, and if so what is the fix? Thanks in advance

Restart your router.
Then reset your Time Capsule > Resetting an AirPort base station
Then restart your Mac.
See if that makes a difference.

I installed windows 8 using bootcamp, and realized that i put too little space. If i erase the windows partition and do it all over again, will the product key i used to activate windows 8 the first time still work? Or is there a way to expand it?

Water in itself will not kill electronic components if you let it dry out. Your first reaction to turn it off was a good one but you could have waited even longer.
It also depends what's on your water that will stay after the water itself had dried; like salt. Anything that iseither acid or conductor left on the circuit board will reduce the life of the board. Given said this, no one could state how long your iPhone will work since no one will know for sure where the water had time to infiltrate before you removed your device and no one what's may left there.
Consider yourself lucky. I don't understand however what you mean by a sensor triggered.

Neither the keycode nor the Windows version of the software will work on a Mac.
You can only swap platforms for the latest version of Adobe products, which is currently CS6.

Will Distance Filter for Location Manager still work when User Tracking Mode is enabled?

Basically I have the MKUserTrackingBarButtonItem with my Map View. When you turn it on it basically turns on the MKUserTrackingMode where your location is updated live on your map. My question is if I have my Location Manager's Distance Filter set to 100m and I traveled with my device 100m and at the same time the map is updating my current location live how will it detect that the device traveled 100m from its original current location? And how will it enter the locationUpdate: delegate method for Location Manager if it only fires when the users location has traveled 100m from it's previous current location? Thanks.

I found my answer through experimentation, yes it will still work. How does it do it exactly? I still have no idea. I hope someone would enlighten me on this.
