F-Secure Key jams Firefox on windows 10?

I recently updated my windows from win 8.1 to win 10.After the update firefox and chrome was working very slowly. For example trying to go search and type something it took few seconds to respond. I had similar rpblem also in other computer so i was trying to find what cause this slow key storkes and opening dropdown menus. Common thing getitng everything working again was killing the F-Secure key prosess? Is there coming fix to this problem soon? More affected browser was Firefox what was basicly unusable before killing the prosess. Chrome was affected much less but still was noticable slower than usually.

Hi
Currently all versions of F-Secure Internet Security / SAFE will bluescreen with Windows 10 starting from Windows 10 build 10130. Only the beta version of F-Secure SAFE ("fs protection") is compatible.
We know what is causing the problem and are working on maintenance releases. The products will be updated before Windows 10 launches.

  • WRT610N (no wireless connection when using security key)

My router hooked up hard wired fine. my wireless does not work when I set a security key of any type. It all seems to work fine with the system unlocked and no security set at all. I do have networkmagic 4.9 on my machines and have had for several years. My old wrt54G seem to work fine with a security key. It just got to where I had to reset the router a lot after a couple of years. How do I get this WRT610N ver:2 to work with a security key?  I use Windows XP  on all 3 computers,,,, 1 hard wired 2 wireless. I have had a WRT54G for a few years ,,,so I know how this stuff works,,,but I can't figure this one out. help please  I want it to work right. Thanks,,,,I have a brand new WRT610N Ver:2

First of all, in the WRT610N, give your network a new unique SSID. Do not use "linksys".  Do not use your old SSID.  If you are using "linksys" you may be trying to connect to your neighbor's router. Also set "SSID Broadcast" to "enabled". This will help your computer find and lock on to your router's signal.
Next, in the computer, go to your wireless software, and go to "Preferred Networks" (sometimes called "Profiles" ). There are probably a few networks listed. Delete any network named "linksys".  Delete any network with your old SSID.   Also delete any network that you do not recognize, or that you no longer use.  Enter your new network info (SSID, encryption (if any), and key (if any) ). Then select your current network and make it your default network, and set it to automatic login. You may need to go to "settings" to do this, or you may need to right click on your network and select "Properties" or "settings".  Reboot computer.  Your computer should connect automatically to the router (it can take up to two minutes).  If you still have problems, temporarily turn off your compute software firewall, and try again to connect.
If the above does not fix your problem, download and install the latest driver for your wireless adapter.
Some users have reported improved wireless performance by switching to WPA encryption.
    Note:
For WEP, enter WEP "key 1"  (found in the router)  into your computer, not the WEP password or passphrase.
For WPA or WPA2, enter the key (sometimes called password or passphrase)  into your computer.
Win XP requires a patch to run WPA2  (= WPA with AES) .  The patch is in SP3, so you will need SP3 to run WPA2.

  • Keep getting a window to install a security update for Firefox 25.0.1. I have installed it 3 times already and still get the notice to install it again.

At least twice a day I get a pop up window alerting me to the need to install a security update for Firefox 25.0.1. I have installed it several times and still I am prompted to install it again. I have received no response from Mozilla on this issue. I had sent in an email about this several days ago.

Please note that all technical support is performed through this site. Mozilla will not respond to emails requiring technical support.

Keep getting a pop up at the top of many websites I visit 'firefox security error content at *web address* may not load" I am using the most recent firefox and windows 7. This is happening at many sites, such as hotmail, google reader, and many others.

Sorry, I don't think that is a message from inside Firefox, the wording doesn't sound correct - at least the beginning of that message. My "gut" thinks that is a MSN Live message to explain and compensate for their lack of security with a re-direct from a secure domain to an un-secure domain. ''(the end of that message)''
{Ctrl + Shft + J} will open the Firefox Error Console - I'm curious what Firefox has to say about that situation. If you find the error message for that domain, you can right-click the message to '''copy''' it and then paste that error message here.
Maybe '''TonyE''' or '''cor-el''' will be more familiar with the situation at Live and maybe at Google Reader, I don't use either of those services and have never seen a message like that myself.

    Hi annarepublic78,
As per the above mentioned error, your Win CS6 download was not complete, either it was in process or was interrupted. This is the only reason you see the MasterCollection_CS6_LS16.7z.crdownload. Here .crdownload means the download is in process.
Please try to download it again on the Desktop and please make sure that the download completes successfully(without the .crdownload extension).

  • Where can I down load older versions of FireFox for windows and Mac for testing my application? I need to have copies of version 3, 4 and 5.

My tesm develops .net applications that must support many browsers and we need access to download older versions of FireFox for windows and mac computers, so that we can test our application prior to rolling out a new version.

If you can't run the latest version because your system doesn't meet the requirements, it's highly recommended that you use another browser that is secure. TenFourFox is a third-party build of Firefox that is kept up-to-date and runs on Mac OS X 10.4 and PowerPC Macs (as a side note, I've never seen the site go down; whatever problems James noticed 9 months ago must've been a fluke).

  • Change security key

can change security key on router but don't know where to change on internet connection so that firefox works properly to connect

Normally, Firefox uses your Windows network connections. If you have an icon for your wireless connection on the Task Bar (in the Notification Area near the clock in the lower right), you usually can click that to open the settings.
Otherwise, from the Windows 7 Start menu, go to Control Panel, and then Network and Sharing Center, which is in the Network and Internet group (if you view the control panel by category). Can you find where to change the key?

  • Please help? secure link to itunes failed  Windows 7 PC

Hope someone can help? I cannot connect to the iTunes store from my windows 7 PC which is plugged into a Belkin modem router.  There is just a mainly white Itunes screen with the never-ending ‘accessing Itunes bar’ going round and round endlessly. I can access the Itunes store from the Ipod touch used wirelessly. Internet is assessable as normal through Firefox or Windows Explorer with no problems.
I have tried very many things suggested on itunes help, but no luck and the internet works for everything else on the computer. I have run itunes diagnostic and the only red light is for ‘secure link to the itunes store failed’, but the network connection is verified. Clicked on help button next to the red light, but nothing came up.   I checked the exceptions on the Windows Firewall and both itunes and bonjour are ticked.  I also did ipconfig/flushdns. DNS resolver cashe was flushed.
Any idea what can I do to fix this (in very easy step-by step way as am not a computer wiz)?

    Close your iTunes,
    Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
    (Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
    netsh winsock reset
    Hit "ENTER" key
    Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if the problem has been resolved.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

  • How do you change the shortcut keys for Firefox in Welsh For Mac?

I'm using Firefox in Welsh on Mac (asking in English to hopefully get more answers), and every time I try to do the shortcut for copy (cmd+C), it hides the window (since Hide in Welsh is Cuddio, the shorcut for that is now Cmd+C). I usually forget this, and proceed with using the shortcut for copy only to anger myself when I realise that I've hidden the window.
My question is, how do you change the shortcut keys on Firefox so then I can change the Hide shortcut and give Copy the cmd+C shortcut? I'm also using OpenOffice.org in Welsh, and they are using cmd+C for copy and cmd+H for Hide.
Is there any way that I could do this myself? Its rather annoying for me, and its rather weird to use Cmd+X for Cutting text instead of copying.
    Thanks.

This could be worth a bug. It shouldn't happen that some shortcut keys get (re)used for other actions and Cmd + C should be considered as one of them.
You can try to make the change in this file: cy.jar/locale/browser/baseMenuOverlay.dtd
    <pre><nowiki><!ENTITY hideThisAppCmdMac.label "Cuddio &brandShortName;">
    <!ENTITY hideThisAppCmdMac.commandkey "C"></nowiki></pre>
    English language pack: en-GB.jar/locale/browser/baseMenuOverlay.dtd
    <pre><nowiki><!ENTITY hideThisAppCmdMac.label "Hide &brandShortName;">
    <!ENTITY hideThisAppCmdMac.commandkey "H"></nowiki></pre>
You can find the file cy.jar in the chrome folder in the Firefox application folder.<br />
The file cy.jar is a ZIP archive, so you need a program that can open such an archive and edit the file baseMenuOverlay.dtd.
I'm not on a Mac, so can't do any testing in this matter. I just downloaded the Welsh (cy.xpi) language pack for Mac and had a look in it.

  • Not able to logging in DAC 11g, throws "Security Key is invalid or unavailable"

    Hi Friends,
I installed DAC 11g in Linux (Installed in Windows and moved it to Linux and configured). It was working fine and sometimes it throws "Security Key is invalid or unavailable".
I updated the DAC Repository schema details using standaloneServerSetupPrompt.bat file. Also getting the same issue.
    Appreciate your help on this.
    Thanks,

you need to contact your BASIS admin and tell them to check if BM7CLNT100 is available for access and that credentials you are using are authorized to access it.
I'm assuming you're using SAP Authentication to login. If you login using Enterprise - you should be able to login into Infoview or CMC as BW changes will not affect that.

  • How do I know if an email to click on a link to download a security upgrade for firefox is legitimate?

I received a pop up, supposedly from firefox, that a stability upgrade for security was available by clicking on a link in the pop up and the pop up said it was strongly advised. Did firefox send this pop up or is it a phishing scam?

You appear to be using an outdated unsupported version of firefox. (From looking at the system details aside). You possibly will be unable to update from Firefox 5 to Firefox 7 using the Help menu.
Download the latest version from an official website such as:
    * http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/products/download.html
    * take CARE '''not''' to use any options saying something along the lines of'' remove personal settings'', because that is likely to remove profiles from all normally installed versions of Firefox, and you will loose data such as settings, passwords and bookmarks.

  • Firefox Browser window will not open or start.

Sorry that this is long, but I wanted to make sure you knew as much as you needed to know.
I click on the icon in my Windows taskbar, and the firefox browser window will not open.
This was not the first of my problems. At first, Firefox would open immediately, but soon afterward, it began to slow, and soon, it took around 10-15 seconds for the browser window to start.
Now it won't start at all.
I will admit that I go all addon-happy on Firefox, but these extensions have never been a problem before. Here is the list:<br />
    <pre>ReaditLater
ReloadEvery (this one doesn't work anymore, but I did have it once)
    Ookong
    PriceBlink
    StumbleUpon
    SimilarWeb
    WOT
XMarks (I didn't use it much)
NoScript (I recently uninstalled that one, but that might have a factor in it. That thing was WAY too powerful!)
    CoolIris
    CoolPreview
    AdHacker
    AdBlock
    AdBlockPlus
    PersonasExpression
    AntBar
ABE (I'm not sure if this was an extension, but I know that there was
alot of security-type addons from the Paranoid Kit, which is a
list of addons on the addons webpage.)
    </pre>
Oh yeah, one more thing! <br />
I recently installed a GameVance installation thing. I'm not sure what it did, but could've had a virus in it that surpassed my security. I use Avast, if that's important at all. That thing was hard to uninstall, so I had to go back to the site to get the uninstallation software.
I tried to use the firefox.exe -ProfileManager thing, but it kept crashing, so it was useless.
Please help me fix this. I love Firefox. It's the only browser that allowed you to use the most addons! Plus, ALL MY STUFF IS ON THERE! I'd hate to have to change browsers (and I REFUSE to use Internet Explorer!)

    See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Browser_will_not_start_up
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See [[Basic Troubleshooting#Make_a_new_profile|Basic Troubleshooting&#58; Make a new profile]]
There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins"
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)<br />

  • How to locate my network security key

I wrote this same request a month or so ago and can no longer locate my 'saved' message.  Would someone please forward me the link again on how to locate the network security key so I may add another computer to my wi-fi.
And another question, will there be any change that more than one security key will appear and if so, how will I determine which key is the proper key to use?
    Thank you much.

The "key" is another word for your normal wireless network "password", sometimes called a "pass phrase".
The password generates a 64 character code of random letters and numbers. I doubt that this would be of any use to you, but if you want to see it.....
Open AirPort Utility on your Mavericks Mac
Click the AirPort icon, the click Edit
Click the Base Station icon at the top of the screen
    Click Show Passwords
More likely, you have a Windows Firewall issue, or Microsoft Security Essentials...if installed....is blocking the connection.  The anti-virus program can do the same thing.

  • RoboForm Lite no longer works for Firefox 17 windows 7 and server 2008r2

    Greetings,
RoboForm Lite no longer works for Firefox 17 windows 7 and server 2008r2 I tried to reinstall but none of the tabs function . Thank you for your assistance

    '''roboform_firefox:'''
The original poster (OP) reported his/her OS as Windows 7 in the body of the question, therefore, your solution would be of no use to the OP. You can also see the OS for the system used by the OP to post the question to the right of the original question in this forum .
Additionally, using an old version of Firefox is ill-advised as old versions contain uncorrected security vulnerabilities. Roboform has been very good lately in keeping their products updated for new Firefox releases and any problems with their products should be reported to them so that they can address any issues and release an update if needed.

Hi! I am using firefox on Windows 7 home premium platform today I updated my firefox to its latest version i.e. 3.6.12 first I uninstall the firefox but keeps my personal setting and then restart my system but when I click on firefox icon nothing happened in fact its exe was running in backend firefox version 3.5 is working fine on my system as I low grade myself to 3.5 again. Kindly help.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox.
