Hi, since installing f secure safe on my daughters laptop, it has started to run very slowly and warning messages, with an american accent keep popping up! Can anyone help with this?

I don't think the warning is from F-Secure. It sounds like you have some sort of adware on the machine, but I'm also wondering if the slowness may be being caused by a software conflict. Do you have, or did you have any other anti virus products on the machine before installing F-Secure? That might be the first issue to try to solve, then I would suggest running a scan with www.malwarebytes.org which may remove the popup.

Symantec need to update their Firefox add-ons so that they are compatible with Firefox 4. They have indicated that for Norton 360 they plan to release an update to Norton 360 to support Firefox 4 in early May - http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20100720113635EN&ln=en_US
I do not know about the time scale for updates for other Norton products. Pending the update by Symantec, if you want to use the Norton add-ons you will need to downgrade to Firefox 3.6.
To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

F-Secure SAFE installer will not execute (Windows 10)

I just combated through Windows 10 upgrade from Windows 7 (64bit). However, now after upgrading F-Secure SAFE installer that I downloaded from mysafe-portal, will not execute. It simply appears to be doing nothing. Download looks successful and I re-downloaded the installer as well. What to do? Suggestions?

Yes, I did reboot Will the uninstall tool work for Windows 10 as well? It is not mentioned, or I am blind I will try it though.. The story is that I first started Win10 upgrade without removing anything. Then I ended up in a situation where explorer.exe crashed right after login. After some struggling with task manager and command line without being able to fix the crash, I reverted back to Windows 7. While back in Windows 7, I uninstalled F-Secure and some other software I thought might affect and re-upgraded. Then Windows 10 appeared to be working like a charm. Now, back in Windows 10, I installed my Dropbox app and then have been trying to re-install F-Secure SAFE. Thanks for all tips and ideas.

F-Secure Safe - schlechtes Produkt mit schlechtem Support

Seit mehreren Tagen lassen sich neu erworbene Safe-Lizenzen nicht installieren. Download bricht ab mit dem Hinweis "Installationsfehler". Aber kein Einzelfall. Es wurde versucht die SW auf mehreren verschiedenen PC-Systemen mit verschiedenen MS BS (alle Aktuell und alle Updates installiert !) zu installieren. Überall das gleiche Problem. Meinung Support nach dem Transfer mehrerer DIAG (nach der Durchsicht des Inhaltes würde ich sagen es sind reine "Spionageinformationen" dir hier zusätzlich übermittlelt werden wie z.B. interne IP, MAC-Adresse. LOG-In Informationen usw.) es könnte (!) sich hierbei um eine Problem des Datums (großes Lachen war hier angebracht) auf den PC-Systemen handeln. Nachfrage meinerseits welches damit gemeint sei wurde nicht mehr beantwortet. Seit 5 Tagen nun "Funkstille" seitens F-Secure. So stellt man sich kompetenten und fähigen Support vor - oder nicht ?

Currently all versions of F-Secure Internet Security / SAFE will bluescreen with Windows 10 starting from Windows 10 build 10130. Only the beta version of F-Secure SAFE ("fs protection") is compatible.
We know what is causing the problem and are working on maintenance releases. The products will be updated before Windows 10 launches.

I have a unit test that basically does the following:
Creates an app domain using minimum priviledges. The MarshalByRefObject that is living in the app domain, loads another assembly to execute. This new assembly basically takes in a data object defined in a separate assembly, and returns a
new data object of that type.
All this works fine in debug mode, or when running w/out code coverage. The Sandbox assembly is signed.
The exception that gets thrown is this:

I marked the shared data library with the attributes:

How do I recover a lost password safe app icon after installing ios 7

I can only access secure safe app by searching on my iphone as the icon is missing after the install of ios7.0.2. I have rebooted with no restore of the icon. It is not sitting in any other folders. Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks.

I rebooted twice and the second time worked. This seems to have resolved the issue.

I am trying to post a 123 page resource guide online for the public to access through the website of a non profit. The guide has a lot of web links for to use for more information. But there have been clickability issues when using some browsers to download the PDF and so I would prefer to suggest that they try to download the resource into Adobe Reader before using. I want to make sure that this would securely safe for readers and users.

Nach dem letzten Update wird mir in den "Allgemeinen Einstellungen" im Bereich "Vebindungen" angezeigt, dass ich mit der Sicherheitscloud verbunden bin. Eine derartige Einstellung habe ich nie aktiviert, weil ich die Verwendung von Clouds (Datenablage im Internet) kategorisch ablehne. Wie kommt F-Secure dazu, die Einstellungen ohne Zustimmung des Anwenders zu aktivieren? Wie kann ich de Verbindung zur Sicherheitscloud deaktivieren. Muss ich mich ggf. einem anderen Abieter für Produkte wie F-Secure SAFE zuwenden? Mein Vertrauen in F-Secure-Produkte ist vor dem Hintergrund des dargestellten Sachverhaltes gesunken!

Better activation solution for F-Secure Freedome

From the forum posts, internet posts, and user reviews it seems that one thing is very apparent. There is a major need for a better activation solution for F-Secure Freedome. Currently, if your HDD crashes, or you need to re-install Windows, or you upgrade to Windows 10 (coming up in July), or even if an F-Secure Freedome update fails and you need to re-install it, you lose the code and/or license. Currently, it is not possibly to free it up per se'. Evaluation periods make a huge difference on whether or not I decide to purchase a product. A 90 day trial is very helpful so that I know I am making a good purchase, since it incorporates different network protocols especially. If you un-install Freedome, you lose the code. Period. This is counterproductive. You end up losing potential users. For those with a paid license, there is a problem that the license server shows that even though Freedome has been uninstalled or is no longer used, the license is not "freed up" by the server. The server or whatever mechanism currently in place lacks the functionality to recognize these changes. I am actually about to re-install my OS, possibly add hardware and get a new HDD. I am also in the market for a new PC. F-Secure SAFE was a bit of a disappointment for me (no offense), and used a good bit of resources. - I do respect the people, and the company who makes it though. They make significant efforts, especially with the marketing of Freedome. The solution should be productive, but not cumbersome or overzealous (like Microsoft or worse). It is a good way to: 1) Expose customers to your products2) Get them to purchase them3) Retain that customer It costs more to gain a new customer than to retain a current one. I am not complaining, nor do I feel entitled. I am just trying to make a suggestion on how to improve the product, and its workflow. I don't intend to rant or to create a flood of posts. This was meant to be constructive, and to see what I could do/could be done about solving my licensing issue.I am sure that others also have some questions as well. I am satisfied with the initial install experience of Freedome, and the GUI is nice, I will say that .

F-Secure Key jams Firefox on windows 10?

I recently updated my windows from win 8.1 to win 10.After the update firefox and chrome was working very slowly. For example trying to go search and type something it took few seconds to respond. I had similar rpblem also in other computer so i was trying to find what cause this slow key storkes and opening dropdown menus. Common thing getitng everything working again was killing the F-Secure key prosess?Is there coming fix to this problem soon? More affected browser was Firefox what was basicly unusable before killing the prosess. Chrome was affected much less but still was noticable slower than usually.
