F1 help in people centric?

Hi all,
I have configured my people centric scenario (adding tabs, custom fields etc...). I wish configure F1 help as in SAP GUI for several fields but i dont know if this is possible only using customizing points or if i have to use some development effort.
Could anyone help me please?

My requirement is more from system user perspective. Lets say an end-user is new to CRM environment/application. He/she has to enter value in a particular field in UI, but doesnot know what that field represents. Then how he/she will come to know about it?
In GUI through F1 help, I can get this information.

Definition of people centric?

Dear all,
forgive my ignorance and if this is off topic but I came across that expression when I read an announcement concerning mySAP CRM and wonder what is all about.
From the expression I would expect that the user not the process is on focus of the design, am I right? Is it just that and what, if any, is the difference to user-centered?
When I searched SAP Help I found the expression only in context with CRM - but I would expect that concepts like ESS have also a people centric approach. Are there more (to come?)?
I really would appreciate if somebody could help me out with some details or comments on the subject.

Hello Christian,
I think you should ask the SAP Marketing Guys at SAP Community what they mean with people centric. SDN is more focused on the technical aspects.

Hello all,
for which version of Business Package and which SP Portal 6.0. is SAP-Reference note: 659881 "Compatibility of the navigation of the People Centric CRM with EP6" valid.
We brought the note for portal 6.2.0.4 (BP 60.2.3) and
navigation functioned not.
Does anyone know this problem and can help me?

Hello Irene,
Go ahead and do as per the instructions given in the note. Download the zip file and proceed as instructed. Everything works fine. This note is applicable to the SAP Enterprise Portal 6.0 and any level of the support package.

Got a problem .I have customised my webclient but cannot execute the people-centric UI.I am currently using a 4.0 server (IDES) and the institution cannot help because they claim that they do don have any access.can any one suggest ways on how i could get access to people- centric.? Does 5.2 server have the access to people-centric UI? if so, can you suggest any provider who can give me access at a fee?

I think that you have more access rights to Service Market Place. I as a Customer Employee only see a link to the People-Centric CRM - SAP Help Portal and a Overview Presentation People-Centric CRM. Are you at a SAP Partner?

Best app to help deaf people transcribe voice to text

Does anybody know of an app that helps deaf people get other people conversations to text?

The card must be issued in the same country as the store you are trying to use. If you're trying to sign up for the US Apple Store, it must be a US card with a US billing address. If you're trying to sign up in India, it must be an Indian card with an Indian billing address.
Apple will run a small charge, which will be credited back, to make sure the card is valid. If it is a debit card and you do not have enough in the account to cover the authorization, it will be declined.
It is possible the currency conversion you mentioned may be causing a problem. Contact the issuing bank if you are sure you have enough in the account and you are signing up for the correct store.

Define Layout of the People-Centric UI (Customizing Tool)

I m woking on CRM 5.0 I want to create a new layout in people centric UI. Let me describe u: I want to add a new field in my BP.Lets say SSN NO. can anybody tells me wheather I can do in STATIC MODEL OR DYNAMIC MODEL. What is the diff b/w this two.

Hi Chinmaya,
You have to first check whether your field to be added is available in the structure assigned to that Field group. In this case structure COMT_BSP_BP_SEAREQ_BUS1006. You can check this in SE11.
If available then you have to add that particular field in SPRO transaction for Field Group structure (Application Element-> Field Group -> Field group structure. In your case for Field Group BUP_BUS1006_SEARCH_04. Specify your View, sequence and other field details while doing so.
Then generate the field group in SPRO ( Application Element-> Field Group -> Layout generation) for your view.
Then you can view the field in PCUI.
If the field is not available in structure then it is a complex process.

Its a web based user interface that can be used for front end users as was said previously. Using this allows users to not have to log in directly to a SAP GUI to use the system, all they would need is a browser to access it. There is actually a room here on SDN just below the general & framework room. It's here: [SAP CRM: People Centric UI (Read Only Archive);
In many cases now, the IC Webclient can take the place of the PCUI, especially depending on the version of CRM you are using.

Customer Prospect in People Centric UI

can somebody explain to me, how to create an iView to create customer prospect in Portal?
I found two OSS-notes where I found the information, that I have to copy the BSP and to add my own view on to the customer (ie. OSS-note 712481).
In the iView "account", of the crm business package, there is called the BSP bsp_frame. In Customizing of the application CRMM_ACCOUNT (which is also defined in the iView) there is the package CRM_BSP_MODEL_IL_BP assigned. In this package I only found only the BSP-Application "crm_prn_acc_ov" - but I think this is not the account BSP.
Have anybody an idea, which BSP-Application I have to copy? Where I'll give in the new iView the information for the new BSP-Application? Which steps I have to do in customizing?

I'm working with CRM 4.0 and Portal-Application. The proplem is, that I wan't to create(!) business partners in the role prospect (BUP002) and additional in role general (00000). SAP delivers only two iViews one to create business partners in role "sold-to" (CRM001) and one to create competitors (CRM005) (see OSS-Note).

How can we help the people that recieve the files that we send?

I send files to people domestically and internationally. Alot of the times I send files to the same people,
sometimes they can click on the link and download the files.
Sometimes they clcik on the link, they can see the files but are unable to download
Sometimes hey click on the link, which will open the page for downloading the files but are not able to see anything.
When I check the Adobe Send sight for activity, I am able to see that they have attempted to view the documents several times.
This can get frustrating for them.
Does anybody have any suggestions?

Ater activating program enter/h in command field and press F8 or execute u enter in debugging mode enter the table name in the table field in debug screen and perform F5 or stepwise execution for the report.
U will get all the field values for each step in progran on the screen below.

Help Gettting People off My Connection

I have no clue how to secure my wireless connection. I am using a laptop and everytime I check there is anywhere from 1-3 people stealing my connection. I try to block them but it didnt work and now my connection is getting lost over and over again. My laptop reconnect 5 time an hour. Please help or I am done with this thing. Thanks

To set up wireless security, you must use a computer that is wired to the router.
Where to find the router settings: The router's login password is usually on one of the "Administration" pages. The other settings are all found in the "Wireless" section of the router's setup pages, located at 192.168.1.1
First, give your router a unique SSID. Don't use "linksys".
Make sure "SSID Broadcast" is set to "enabled".
Next, leave the router at its default settings (except for the unique SSID), and then use your pc to connect wirelessly to the router. Test your wireless Internet connection and make sure it is working correctly. You must have a properly working wireless connection before setting up wireless security.
To implement wireless security, you need to do one step at a time, then verify that you can still connect your wireless computer to the router.
Next, encrypt your wireless system using the highest level of encryption that all of your wireless devices will support. Common encryption methods are:
WEP - poor (see note below)
WPA (sometimes called PSK) - good
WPA2 (sometimes called PSK2) - best
WPA and WPA2 sometimes come in versions of "personal" and "enterprise". Most home users should use "personal". Also, if you have a choice between AES and TKIP, and your wireless equipment is capable of both, choose AES. With any encryption method, you will need to supply a key (sometimes called a "password" ).
The wireless devices (computers, printers, etc.) that you have will need to be set up with the SSID, encryption method, and key that matches what you entered in the router.
Retest your system and verify that your wireless Internet connection is still working correctly.
For additional security, on many routers, you can limit wireless access to just the MAC addresses of the wireless devices that you own. If possible, you should also use this feature.
And don't forget to give your router a new login password.
Picking Passwords (keys): You should never use a dictionary word as a password. If you use a dictionary word as a password, even WPA2 can be cracked in a few minutes. When you pick your login password and encryption key (or password or passphrase) you should use a random combination of capital letters, small letters, and numbers, but no spaces. A login password, should be 12 characters or more. WPA and WPA2 passwords should be at least 24 characters. Note: Your key, password, or passphrase must not have any spaces in it.
Most home users should have their routers set so that "remote management" of the router is disabled. If you must have this option enabled, then your login password must be increased to a minumum of 24 random characters.
One additional issue is that Windows XP requires a patch to run WPA2. Go to Microsoft Knowledge base, article ID=893357 and it will direct you to the patch.
Sadly, the patch is not part of the automatic Windows XP updates, so lots of people are missing the patch.
Note:
WEP is no longer recommended. The FBI has demonstrated that WEP can be cracked in just a few minutes using software tools that are readily available over the Internet. Even a long random character password will not protect you with WEP. You should be using WPA or preferably WPA2 encryption.
