I am getting the above error how to rectify the same?

Normally you will not pay a vendor with a debit balance, because this means vendor owe you the money, may be because of some credit memo or return goods posted.
But if you are looking to pay certain specific invoices anyway today, please go to edit payment proposal in F110, and block the debit items or the invoices that you are not intending to consider in payment proposal for this vendor.
Note: you need to enter the payment block indicator allowed in the payment run. To check which payment block you can possibly use, go to SPRO
IMG>FI(New)>AR & AP> Busi Trans >Outgoing Payment>Manual Outgoing Payment> Check Payment block reason
and then find out which payment block indicator code has "Change in payment Prop" checked. You can use only these payment blocks in the payment run F110

    Symptom
    In the list of exceptions RFZALI10 or RFZALI20, vendors with a debit balance are listed with item indicator 006 "no valid payment method". Before the upgrade, these vendors were output correctly with´ item indicator 001 "No pymt possible because items with a debit bal. still exist; see job log".
    Cause and prerequisites
    The precondition for the occurrence of the symptom is that you have implemented Note 150631 in its first version or via Support Package 18 (Release 4.0B) or 02 (Release 4.5B).
    Solution The error is corrected with Support Package 21 for Release 4.0B, or Support Package 04 for Release 4.5B. An advance correction is available. To do this implement the additional source code corrections in the attachment to Note 150631.

    Hi Experts,
    I have vendor line items Rs 25000 alongwith that credit memo Rs 5000 with document type RI (RI- MM Invest invoice). However when we execute the payment run for this venodr it has gone into error "No pymt possib because items with a debit bal.still exist; see job log". When We replicate a test case with document type RE ( RE-MM invoice ) it was allowed to reallocate credit memo value againt the invoice, but same is not happening with credit memo with document type RI.
    Both the credit memo(RI and RE) created against original purchase order, however when we create the credit memo with document type RI, Invest ID checked automatically in line item level. Is invest ID is causing for an error .
    Please somebody help me on this.

    Thanks for your reply.
    In this case payment program is selecting  credit memos with document type RI (RI- MM Invest invoice) as wells as document type RE ( RE-MM invoice ).
    In my test case I have created  two credit memo reference to purchase order via transaction code MIRO with different document type RE and RI. If I take document type RI (RI- MM Invest invoice) invest ID is automatically checked at line item level 1 of the accouting document( ie vendor line item level).
    And I have created one more credit memo with document type RE with reference to same PO, Invest ID is not ticket automatically at document line item level.
    When we ran payment run vis F110,  there is no issue with credit memo with document type RE, because I can reallocate credit memo value against the orignal invoice value, however in case of credit memo with document type RI going into exception  F110 No pymt possib because items with a debit bal.still exist; see job log.
    It is seems that because of substitution rule assigned to document type RI with K (Vendor ) Invest ID is automatically picked in the document line item level.
    Please let me know if you have any input on this issue.

    I am getting a Vendor in the exceptions list in F110 with the message: No pymt possible because items with a debit bal.still exist.
    The Vendor has a Debit balance. There are 3 invoices (total 50,000 INR) and 1 Debit memo (52,000 INR).
    Is there any way that I can block the Debit memo and make a payment of 50,000 INR?

    Put the payment Block A in the Debit line Item.
    F110 wil then ignore Debit item and pick the credits for payment

    getting error in F110 when run on 10/07/2006 :No pymt possible because items with a debit

    Please check the grouping key on the vendor master record.
    It could be just that the line items are grouped according to due date and are not able to offset each other.
    The grouping key is on  the automatic payment transactions block.

    The balance of the items to be paid requires a payment method for incoming payments. You specified a payment method that is defined for outgoing payments.

    The payment method is rejected.

    Hi Garg,
    In this case, one of the option  is that you can do the partial clearing or residual clearing, lets say Residual clearing, in this case system will clear the original items and open new item 700 as payable.
    You can clear credit memo 1800 against two invoices 1500 and 1000, out of 1000 you need take  300 and for clearing  (1000-300=-700) and -700 will be your payable amount, go to F-44.
    Amount 700 will be new payable amount:

  • The operation could not be completed because an item with the name xyz already exists

    I am trying to make a click and drag backup on an external FAT 32 drive to compliment my Time Machine backup (long story) and I've done this each time by dragging my critical folders into the drive. I get a message asking me to stop, replace or skip, and whether to apply to all items. i click replace, apply all, and let it go.
    however, one stubborn folder refuses to comply. every single time I click and drag a group of folder that includes that one, I get a message saying "the operation could not be completed because an item with the name xyz already exists" even after I selected the the "apply all" prompt. at which point, the Mac stops transferring ALL the other files.
    I figured, OK, i'll just transfer the other folders individually and then deal with this folder later. so I do that, and once I get to the offending folder, I try to transfer just that one folder into the drive. no good; I get the operation message again. I decide to just transfer the contents of the folder, rather than the folder itself. No good, I just get the operation message about one of the folders within the main folder.
    anyone know the cause, or at least a fix?

    If you've installed a system modification called "TotalFinder," remove it according to the developer's instructions after backing up all data. Log out, log back in, and try again.
    Otherwise, open the Info dialog on both the source and the destination volumes. What is the Format of each? For example, it might be "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)".

    I have a [rather worrying] problem.
    When I try to copy all my files from my documents on my mac [or the entire documents folder] into an external drive, I get this error message
    " The operation can’t be completed because an item with the name “.DS_Store” already exists. "
    I am not given an option to skip this file or anything else.
    But I simply cannot complete the operation!
    I have tried deleting a few of the .ds_store files, [both in the original and in the destinations]
    but no success.
    The same thing keeps happening.
    At first, this was just happening when I was trying to backup to my dropbox folder [the one on my mac's harddrive, which gets synced to the cloud],
    but then I tried to back up my documents to my external hard drive, and I realized it is giving me the same error message.
    So effectively, it seems I cannot backup my files anywhere!
    Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, or by corruption of certain system caches. 
    Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
    Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and  Wi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
    The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

    Major headaches with copying files and folders between drives. I constantly (and I mean constantly) have to resort to copying files across in small batches (fewer than 10 works best) because anytime I try to copy lots of files and folders from my mac to an external hard drive (or from one external HD to a second external HD), I ALWAYS get the error message  "The operation can't be completed because an item with the name .DS_Store already exists".
    The files and folders are all Mac-generated, so hint or trace of foreign OSs in the mix.
    All file types are susceptible
    the HDs are all Mac OS X formatted, no foreign file formats involved
    the HDs are all journal-enabled, OS X extended formats
    have looked on here for previous posts, past suggestion was to disable creation of DS_Store files - not really a solution and realistically, defeats the purpose of their creation
    any ideas anyone?
    would appreciate any thoughts or sugestions, this has got me beat
    the context is that I have a lot of image files that I am copying (trying to...) new external 3TB drives for backup and the job appears endless if I have to do this in batches of 10 or so..!

    This is definitively a nuisance. When copying large amounts of files between volumes  try opening a terminal window and use use ditto. You need to type the directory paths of the source and the destination volume. When it starts ditto just coupes and optionally overwrites anything on the destination. You can get a verbose mode where it lists all activities.

  • HT5767 My mail all of a sudden would not allow me to delete messages in my inbox saying, "couldn't be copied to "Messages" because an item with the same name already exists." Found it duplicates the message I wanted deleted in trash.

    Still  using the @mac.com   mail  address and up   to date on everything, but have not gone to Maverick.  All of a sudden Mail wouldn't let me delete.  Said that title of email was already in trash.  And sure enough it was.  Clicking on the help button on the message gets Nothing.

    Thanks...it was spooky seeing the mail in my box suddenly disappear and blank after going to Mailbox and Rebuild.  But "poof" it was up again and was able to delete without the messages telling me it had a duplicate in trash (which it did).  Solved the problem.

       My client requires a G/L line items report. It can be possible thru fs10n or fbl3n etc. But he wants to see both the credit and debit accounts in the same line.
    for ex: if I open a expense account and show the report of individual documents, he wants to see the corresponding credit item to which bank/cash account it got credited to.
    we showed them to double click on that document and goto document overview. but they dont want in that way.
    they want to see all the line items with both postings in the same sheet for all line items.
