Hi:
Try this driver.
If this driver doesn't work, and you want to run W7, then you will have to install W7 64 bit, for which there are graphics drivers.

At first my card reader did not show up at all in Device Manager until after I actually inserted an SDHC card yesterday 17 jUNE 2012. Windows recognized the card and installed its own driver, Microsoft driver version 6.1.7600.16385 dated 21/6/2006, with the device's manufacturer being listed also in Device Manager as only "(Standard disk drives)" at Location 0, with the status shown as "This device is working properly". The card reader worked (and still works) and appears -- but only with the SD card inserted, otherwise it does not appear at all -- in both in Device Manager and in Computer>Devices with Removable Storage. I went to HP's Support Wizard site to update the driver. The site detected my product correctly and offered an update, "Realtek Card Reader Driver -Version: 6.1.7601.85" (sp55030) to download. I downloaded it and installed it. The newly downloaded driver shows up in Programs and Features. However, even after many uninstall / re-install attempts, the new driver version refuses to show in Device Manager's driver properties for the device. It also does not show when in Device Manager I try to manually update by "Browse my computer for driver software>Let me pick from a list of drivers on my computer". All that shows is the old generic Microsoft driver named above. If while in Device Manager, I try to update the driver manually by "Browse my computer for driver software>Search for driver software in this location (folder where it is saved on my notebook)", it shows, but still will not update / install. A message pops up saying there is no driver in that location. In addition, after I eject and physically remove the SD card from my notebook, the device and driver also disappear from Device Manager until I re-insert the card, even when Device Manager is set to "Show hidden devices". Please advise.

    Hi, Ken:
The parts list for your notebook indicates that it has an Atheros 9485GN 802.11b/g/n 1x1 WiFi and 3012 Bluetooth 4.0 combination adapter.

    Give these a try...
When a notebook has a combination wireless/bluetooth card, you install the corresponding model bluetooth software for the model wireless card your notebook has.

As it sounds like you have done what amounts to a 'clean' or custom install of Windows 7 Ultimate, make sure that you have carefully followed these directions, and then use the driver/software installation utility, this might resolve your problems.

  • Card reader driver for Satellite M30X-134

    Hello,
where can I find the flash card reader driver for my M30x-134? None of the support page seems to make it and i cannot find out who is the manufactor.
    Thank you,
    Patrick

Thank you for your advises. Unfortunately I still cannot find the driver. On the canadian site i was able to download some files called "SD Format" and "SD Driver Set", but Windows XP didn't accept them. I have in mind that this is a 6-in-1 card reader, so it should support more formats then the SD. There are two unknown entries in the Device manager, both are called "PCI FLASH-MEMORY". When i started the notebook for the first time (with OEM Windows XP) the card reader worked. Now i have an own license installed which didn't come with the notebook. Could this be the reason? Does anyoneone know who is the manufactor of the build-in card reader?

  • Satellite M70: Need mass storage controller & card reader driver

First issue: I want the driver of (mass storage controller).
Second issue: I have card reader but it doesn't work.

First issue: all you need you can find on Toshiba download page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com
Second issue: I presume the hardware is not installed properly. For that you need to install TI 5 in 1 Card Reader driver.
If you can not configure all this please use delivered recovery DVD and install OS. After doing this everything will work again.

  • Lenovo B570 Bluetooth & Card Reader

Can someone please tell me the part numbers / FRU for a bluetooth module and the card reader. I would like to add bluetooth to this laptop and the card reader isn't working. I don't know if the card reader ever worked since I never used it. I tried using it the other day and it doesn't work. I looked in the BIOS and reinstalled drivers. I'm not even seeing it in the device manager. I'm thinking it's either bad or a loose cable. I would appreciate any help in identifying and obtaining these parts.
    TIA

    Bump!
Please help if anyone has any information.

  • Palm and Pocket PCs with bluetooth cards

Has anyone had any experience of using LabVIEW 7.1 PDA with Pocket PCs or Palms fitted with a bluetooth card?
Most Palms I've come across e.g. the Tungsten series are bluetooth enabled internally, so is it a case that LabVIEW can only see the internal BT device when the native BT vis in LabVIEW are being used to create apps?
Similarly, I've used the same BT VIs for Pocket PC 2003 devices with BT hardware already inside (specifically Ipaq H2210,which ran faultlessly) but I am unsure whether a Pocket PC running 2003 with say a CF card can be utilised using those same BT comms VIs (same goes for a Palm with OS5 and a Bluetooth SD card)?
    Cheers

    Hello Bill,
I've used the tdk go blue usb adapter hooked up to a PC and have been able to communicate bi-directionally with it using an Ipaq 2210 pocket pc. I'm waiting for the bluetooth card for my Palm 515 so I can replicate this functionality.
The TDK uses the Cambridge Radio chipset which is also used by other dongles, such as the D-Link DBT-120 and these work with the XP service pack 1 generic bleutooth drivers (Q328183 I think), also SP2 and hence LabVIEW. If you are intending to use the TDK, you don't need to load up the suite as long as you have these drivers. (The TDK blu2i development kit incidentally has these drivers on the CD, but not sure if the dongle alone comes with these).
If you do have the driv
ers its just a case of using the high level Vis for both PDA and PC to communicate with each other as client and server.
If the PDA is the client you would set up this using the Open Connection VI and serial service UUID eg:
    00001101-0000-1000-8000-00805f9b34fb
For the PC you'd make this the server and use the create listener VI with the above UUID then carry out a Wait on Listener function, and as soon as the other device comes into range you should be in business.
You can also use standard serial comms if you have a virtual port set up for the dongle, but timing can then become an issue. The native bluetooth VIs in LabVIEW take care of all that, and you don't need to set up a serial port in "My Bluetooth Places", as you effectively use the UUID which creates the serial port service you require.
Hope this helps but please drop a line if you have any more questions.
    Cheers

  • USB 1.1 or am I USB 2.0 and I need a CompactFlash Card Reader...?

I need a card reader for my Lexar 512MB (12x) card. It seems like most card readers are USB 2.0 and I don't think my USB ports are 2.0.
    So, two questions:
(1). Are my USB ports 1 or 2?
    (2) Can anyone recommend a card reader for me depending on the answer?
    Thanks!

    Hi Nodger,
    1) USB 1.1, according to your specs. The first eMacs with USB 2.0 came out in April 2004, and they have a 1.25GHz processor.
    2) If your Lexar card only needs USB 1.1, then it doesn't matter which speed you use (see this)

  • Card reader driver reload

The card reader has ceased to read cards. If I reload the driver, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Even when it does, it then doesn't next time. What is going on here? Gremlins, as usual, or is there a simple fix? Very irritating when I have lots of SDHC material to load from my holiday video camera! It used to be fine, but just lately has become a real PITA. Thanks in advance to all you helpful chaps/chapesses on this forum.

    Hi @Bengola,
    Thank you for your query.
I understand that you are having an issue with the card reader intermittently working  and not working.  If you reload the drivers sometimes it works but the next time it will not.
Have you ran the Windows troubleshooter?
Have you done all your Windows updates?
Have you ran the HP Support Assistant ?
You could try using MSconfig to determine if there is a conflict somewhere.
HP PCs - Using Microsoft System Configuration (Windows 8).  Instead of selecting only one software to load as suggested in the document to conserve some time I would try the 50/50 method.   After hiding the Microsoft services and disabling all, select half of services and test the card reader.  Then go back and retry selecting the other half.  You are trying to determine if there is a software conflict causing this issue.
If you are still unable to resolve this issue as a work around to get your pictures you could connect your camera with the card installed to retrieve your photos.
You could also try a HP PCs - Refresh Your PC to Resolve Problems (Windows 8) .
You may also wish to consider contacting HP support for assistance. They can remotely access your system to help determine the issue.

My last suggestion would be to do a recovery back to factory.
Performing a HP system recovery (Windows 8)
You will receive an option to backup your personal files to prevent data loss. If you have not yet done one, I suggest you do it now.

  • Card Reader Driver S5220Y Win 7 64bit

Hello, I have a desktop that the card reader stopped working and there is a exclamation point on HW ID: USB/UNKNOWN in Device Manager. I looked on the drivers and downloads page and there is no driver for Windows 7 64 bit concerning the Card Reader. Any help locating this driver will be greatly appreciated.
    Product: NY543AA#ABA
    Model: S5220Y
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

Your HP Pavilion slimline s5220y Desktop PC uses a MSI MS-7525 motherboard (Boston-GL6).
This motherboard uses the G31 Express/ICH7 chipset.
The 6-in-1 card reader, at the top of the front bezel, is a USB device.
That reader plugs into a USB header on the computer's motherboard.
As you noted, there are no specific drivers posted on the HP support page.
When you opened Device Manager, to see the Exclaimation Point in the Yellow Triangle,
did you search the Microsoft repository for best driver of that device?

  • Realtek USB 2.0 Card Reader Driver Update

I ran an HP Hardware Diagnostic Tools test on my USB card reader and I got errors on every test.
I am running Windows Vista 32 bit system.
I went into the device manager and tried to update drivers, but it says that is the latest driver.
My card reader is always has the green light on even when I'm not using it.  I couldn't find an updated driver on the HP site or the Realtek site.
If I install any of the driver update programs, it tells me that my driver is out of date, but I have to buy their program to get the update.
    Any suggestions?

    Hi:
Unfortunately, I wouldn't know why the light is always on in your card reader.
    Does the card reader work?
Probably it thinks it has a card in one of the read slots.
One of the read heads might be damaged.

  • Lenovo N500 - card reader - drivers issue?

    Hello,
I tried to use my xD memory card in card-reader in Lenovo series 3000 n500, ns 4233-4AG.
Unfortunately, it isn't working. Other card types (SD, MMC) are working well.
What's the hell? In official spec. on Lenovo's site, this model is operating xD cards. Link: http://www5.pc.ibm.com/europe/products.nsf/$wwwPartNumLookup/_NS74Axx?open&OpenDocument&epi=web_expr...
Is it drivers problem? Where can I download valid, with xD support?

Hi: See if the windows 7 driver works for you... This package contains the driver for the JMB38X Card Reader Host Controller in the supported notebook/laptop models and operating systems. The JMB38X Card Reader supports the following media types: SD, MS, MMC, and xD. File name: sp45180.exe

  • Usb port/sd card reader recgonition issues after Yosemite?

I recently downloaded Yosemite to my macbook pro and hadn't noticed any issues till I tried to upload some photos. I usually just use the sd card reader but quickly found that each time I put an sd card in (I tried several just to make sure it wasn't an issue with my cards), there was no recognition at all, not in the left hand sidebar in the finder window or in the disk utility. I next tried out the usb ports with my ipod, external hard drive, and camera's usb cord. The first usb port is recognized in both itunes (when my ipod is connected) and in the disk utility (still not in the left hand sidebar finder window where I could just click on the device and see the contents it held like it usually has done in the past) however when I connect anything to the second usb port, I can hear the external harddrive revv up and my ipod starts to charge, but it isn't recognized in the computer by itunes or in disk utility. I'm not sure what to do since I did not back up my previous drive before updating my software and am a photographer who relies on being able to upload my photos on my computer. All my ports were working just fine before I updated this past week so I'm wondering if it has something to do with Yosemite?
I've made sure my external disk's option was checked in >finder>preferences, tried to reinstall yosemite, and have reset my PRAM and SMC and unfortunately found no difference.

I had this problem and don't at moment. Not sure of cause. Some have found that cleaning slot with compressed air or contact cleaner helps. Search Yosemine (this) forum for post headed "SD card reader does not work anymore" by GabTH (11/2/14) for a software fix. (Sorry, not a frequent user anymore and can't easily paste a link.)
