F2480 will not print A4 size pictures,

My F2480 will not print A4 size pictures (210 x 295mm) the largest it will print is 200 x 265 mm Help needed please

Hi,
I assume you are using a Photo Paper, Please clarify if I am wrong.
Be aware that while the Maximum size for plain paper is 210 x 297mm,
The largest supported Photo Paper is 203.2 x 254 mm, as you may find listed within the product specification's Paper Types and Sizes section:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01758526&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&cc=us&dlc=en...
Additionally, your printer support borderless printing up to 100 x 300 mm and not full A4 size

HP Photosmart c4450 prints and scans normal 8.5x11 fine, but will not print 4x6 laminate pictures. Using the printer completely unconnected from a pc or network, using a SSD memory card to print off. As the printer begins the print, the printer prints only about 3/4 of the image, and clips the rest leaving it blank. Within the options, you can see the whole picture on the LCD screen, and selecting the 4x6 print mode it still clips the picture.
Not sure exactly whats going on, the printer was doing this fine for about a year, and just randomly started to print with the image cut off at the beging and ending abruptly at the end only printing half-3/4's. Also using the same memory card, have not tried a different card though. Any ideas?

As far as I know,  you cannot scan or perform software-based copying over a Bluetooth connection. Printing is doable. Perhaps that is something that is in the pipe for developement.

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.5.0 will not print SRA3 size paper

I created an Adobe InDesign file 320x450mm (SRA3) and saved it as a a High Quality PDF. However, when I print from Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 with SRA3 paper size settings, it defaults to A4 and the printer will not register the SRA3 paper size request. The tech from Canon updated the printer driver which increased print dialog options such as Paper Handling, Paper Source etc. (which I didn't have before) and spent over an hour running tests. We both agreed there was a software issue since there were not issues from other software:
I can print SRA3 files from InDesign and Microsoft Word, but not Adobe Acrobat Pro.
This is an ongoing problem since I often receive artwork in PDF format at this size.
My workaround is to place the PDF into InDesign, line up the crops by eye and print to SRA3 paper which works fine until I need to do a double sided print which becomes slightly innacurate and often time consuming.
    Canon printer driver specs:
    V2.0
    iR-ADV C5045/5051 PS (UK)

What happens if you select other paper sizes? Also ensure that 'choose paper source by PDF page size' is not checked at your print dialog.
Kindly let us know your results and if possible please forward us your pdf at [email protected]
Looking forward to help you out.

  • Epson R2880 - Will not print - paper sizes

I am having major problems with trying to print to a R2880. I have recently purchased it and have had problems with printing to it from the beginning. Sometimes it works but mostly it doesn't.
The Epson driver is 6.2 which is the latest. I am running Leopard. Do not want to upgrade to SL cause what I read shows FCS2 does not run on it.
Keeps on telling me that the "Paper source selected in the printer doesn't macy the paper loaded in the printer" which is of course bollocks.
I have tried the solution offered by a previous post which was to got to the print preview and then Cmd - P and then choose the right paper. Worked fine on an A4 but when I did the same for a 10 x 15 cm no go.
It suddenly started working the other day but when I chose a selection of 10 x 15's (varied portrait / landscape aspects) to print it did not orientate them correctly. The paper was installed in a portrait arrangement yet not one of the photos printed on the page correctly.
What a waste of time this printer and Aperture are.
Can anyone help on this most frustrating problem. I have had this printer for a few months and have only managed to print a handful of photos !
    Regards

    Hi Colin,
The R2880 is a little finicky when it comes to paper source. A couple of questions:
    • What paper are you using? What size? Are you using the back tray or the main tray? I had a ton of problems with the back tray and that very error. I now always use the main tray, but it depends on the paper you use since certain types can only be loaded in the back.
    • Are you making sure the preset you choose is for +sheet feeder+ and not +roll paper+?
The Preview solution you read about is probably mine and was brought on by SL. Fortunately 10.6.2 fixed that problem but I've still had the paper source error come up a couple of times - I need to open the print settings for the preset I want to use and save it again (it's as though it needs to be reminded that it should use the sheet feeder, even though that setting is saved right there in the preset).
My first thought was that your problem might have to do with the non-conventional paper size, but I also make custom 16x12 prints on 13x19 paper and don't have problems at all.
I'm guessing it's probably a combination of settings and paper type...

  • HP Photosmart D110a will not print a complete picture.

My printer suddenly started cutting the first part of the printed page off.  If it's a picture, the top of the heads will be cut off and there will be empty space at the bottom.  If I continue printing, it just gets worse, i.e. the next picture will cut off the whole head.  I always do a print preview and the page looks fine.  How can I fix this?

  • HP DESIGNJET will not print accurate sizes from Illustrator CC

Running Macbook Pro to HP DSIGNJET 500C.     Layout artboard 24x24 with 20"x20" 1" grid. Print with no scaling . Squares about 15/16"  I adjust artboard grid to be close to right then reprint and it will vary about a 1/16" over 18".   I can live with that.    Then I create a new artboard by coping the corrected one and it puts both of them out of scale.   Any help? ? ?

    upandrunning,
I believe it may be because the printer (driver) is non PostScript.
What happens if you create a PDFand print from Adobe Acrobat or Reader?

  • CS3 will not print color pictures

Photo Shop will not print color pictures. It printed fine for over a year then just quit printing in color a few months ago.  A work around was given by our Higher head Quarters but when printing this way the pictures do not print properly and the pictures can't be adjusted or modified any.
Machines having this problem are running Windows XP.
What are the proper setting for this program?
Do I need a software update?

Check the updater and make sure you installed the updates for Photoshop CS3.
But most likely this is a configuration issue with your printer driver.
Many drivers do have settings that force black and white printing, overriding what the application sends to the driver.

  • Hp 1315 will not print with 10.6.7

I cannot find any answers to this strange set of circumstances.
I had an old iMac and an hp 1315 all-in-one printer, and everything worked fine. I recently bought a new iMac with OS 10.6.7, and, rather than reinstalling the printer software, I just plugged the old printer into the USB port on the new iMac. The printer worked fine but the device would not scan. I have since learned that 10.6.7 supports printing ONLY on this device. So far so good, but this is where things get strange.
I wanted to scan some pictures, so I got out the old software CD that came with the printer and installed it in my new iMac. The result was that the device was now able to scan. I was happy about this until I discovered that the 1315 now will not print. I have done everything I can think of, including:
    -- uninstalling the hp software
-- downloading the most recent driver from the HP website
-- deleting the printer from the Print & Fax window and then adding it again
-- running the "Reset Printing System" on the Print & Fax window
    -- running "Software Update"
    -- unplugging, replugging, restarting, etc.
-- running the test page on the printer
-- using the device to copy (i.e., using it separate from the computer)
-- checking to see that there are no lights blinking on the device and that it has toner and paper
The Print & Fax window shows me that my 1315 is "Idle" and is the "Last Printer Used," and it has the green light next to it that should indicate that there are no issues with the printer. But when I try and print something, it doesn't print, and the job status is simply "Error."
I am fine with using this device as a printer only, like I did up until yesterday. I have another scanner, and if I had known this would happen I would used it and would never have touched the 1315 or messed with its scanning function.
I must be able to print things for my business. Can anyone help me.

Download and use the updated HP software from their web site, don't use the disk.

  • GCC Elite XL 40 - Will Not Print in Snow Leopard

I am desperate I have wasted two days working with GCC tech support via phone and email and have followed their instructions for setting up my GCC Elite XL 40 as an IP printer for our MacPro running Mac OS 10.6.5. I have checked and double and triple checked the many settings on both the printer and my MacPro - ALL are correct (according to the instructions provided) but the printer will not Print. It is recognized by the computer — got a green light on my print queue — says its ready to print but nothing happens.
I have redone this so many times I - added, deleted and re-added the printer several times - I am just on the verge of giving up but I need this large format laser printer to work with this computer — it's our workhorse for big projects.
There was a Posting here from someone named Rocky dated a few months ago and that information conformed to what I have been instructed to do by GCC but it still does not work. All other Macs on our network are printing to the GCC Elite XL 40 just fine as usual. This is the only workstation we upgraded to Snow Leopard plus this computer is hard wired via Ethernet not Airport.
If there is anyone out there that has made this work please send me some info or direct me to an expert. Thank you.

Looking at the specifications for this printer it shows that the unit support Postscript Level 2, which indicates it's quite an old model. This could be causing problems with Snow Leopard.
The specs also show the printer supports PCL5e and PCL6. So did the GCC techs get you to try creating a printer queue using the Generic PCL Laser Printer? If not it would be worth a try. Make a new print queue using IP > LPD for the protocol, not sure if you need a queue name so leave this blank, and select Generic PCL Laser in the Print Using menu. This Generic driver gives you no options and probably no support for the larger paper sizes but it will let you see if you can get a print job from your Mac to the printer.

  • HP C6150 All-In-One Will Not Print Black Text But Does Partial Test Print

Hi.  Thanks in advance for any help anyone can proffer.
I've read through the forum and I think there are some similar issues, but none exactly the same as ours.
This HP C6150 does print pictures, but suddenly stopped printing black text.
HOWEVER, the test prints will print in black with the Windows Logo, but will not print any associated text.
Odd.  It just suddenly stopped printing.
    Variables:
C6150 All in One - No other problems for two years.
Using refilled ink cartridges from outside source. (not my decision)
Ink is full.  No other changes made in last three days.
    Troubleshooting Steps:
Uninstalled and then re-installed software in entirety.
Put in 'new' (refilled) cartridge for black and magenta.
Tried (not sure if successful) soft reset.
Tried cleaning the print cartridge with 'Q-Tip' and distilled water.
Have not yet spent money on new OEM print cartridges.  That is next step unless other suggestions merit.
    Possibilities:
It may be the refilled cartridges, but they've worked so well in the past.
The cartridge prior to the recent replacement was working fine and was not yet out of ink.
The print head might be damaged.  But this should/would affect all black printing and this is not the case.
Were the driver corrupt, the reinstall should have fixed it ... you'd think.
So, we're looking for some suggestions prior to going out and getting a new printer.
Thanks again, in advance, for constructive non-judgmental suggestions.
    MackNC

The likely cause is the black ink is not printing at all.  When printing graphics (like the Windows Test Page) black is made from mixing the color ink.  I would suggest printing an internal diagnostic test page as shown in this page.  Does the black block print?  If not then clean the printheads as described here.

  • HP 2480 all in one printer will not print documents, i.e., Word, e-mail, etc.

I have installed the Printer diagnostic utility and the test page printed, so I thought my problem was solved.  However, the printer still will not print anything!  I have tried pictures, Word documents, e-mail documents, etc.  The printer was working fine a week ago, and I have restored the computer to an earlier time, but nothing has fixed the problem!

  • Officejet Pro 8620 will not print old documents, only newly created ones

When I use the driver designed for the printer I can only print documents (Word, Excel, and Publish 2007) that are new, as long as I have not copied and pasted or inserted sheets from previously created documents.  It will not print any Outlook 2007 emails but it prints PDF's fine. Also, the printer works fine with driver for deskjet 990c but limits my options on page size and the margin on the right side won't change and are way to big for most of my documents.  Any thoughts?

    This is very peculiar @bmphr

If that does not resolve the issue, post back and let me know if there are any symbols other than green check marks and what they are next to of course. The wrench is not always easy to spot as the wrench and the check mart are in the green circle.
If you see only green check marks (), the tool did not find any problems.
If you see green wrenches (), the utility identified an issue and corrected it automatically.
If you see yellow exclamation points (), the test failed and required user action, but the step was skipped.

  • CS5 will not print on new Epson 3880, message paper out or paper not loaded correctly

CS5 will not print on new Epson 3880, message paper out or paper not loaded correctly

In the Print dialog box, click Print Settings and verify the Paper Size you chose. This is important because the 3880 has three paper feeds (auto sheet feeder, rear manual feed, front manual feed). And for each major paper size you have to choose not only the size but also the correct feed. For example, if you want US Letter, choose US Letter, notice that this menu expands to five more US Letter paper size options, and choose the specific US Letter paper feed you want.
If there is a mismatch between the paper size + feed combination you picked and the feed where the paper actually is, you can get the error that you're seeing. Because the Epson printer driver will look for the paper in a feed where there isn't any paper.
So if you've added US Letter paper to the automatic paper tray, in Paper Size double-check that you chose the US Letter submenu command that says just US Letter, not one of the other options like US Letter (Manual - Front).
