F4 help for PO date field in VA01 transaction during upgrade

Hi All,
We are working on upgrade project 4.6c to ECC 6.
We came across one scenario.
F4 help for PO date field is not coming in newer version in VA01 transaction but i checked in older version it is coming F4 help for PO date(calender).
May i know the reason regarding this.
Any clues

User did some changes in include LSDSDF05 due to that F4 help is not coming.
So i correct that one.

Using F4-Help for a DATS-Field

I have an input field that is bound to a context attribute of type DATS and some output fields that depend on the value of the input field.
Is there any chance to throw an event when the user changes the value of the input field via F4-help (calendar help) without pressing enter afterwards?
Or is there any possibility to change the values of the output fields in another way?

After upgrade from 4.6c to ECC6.0 F4 Help is not coming for few date fields

Hi Friends
Just now we have completed upgrade project from 4.6c to ECC6.0.
After upgrade F4 help is not working for some date fields.
For example its working in MB11,Its not working in va01,vf01 like that.
In abap side we checked ...not able to find any issues in coding level, because its a standard SAP code.
So if any solution is there to correct this issue.Kindly help me to resolve this asap.

Creating process for multiple Date fields for update or insert in APEX

hello there,
could someone please help me?
i have a form on Apex based on view that is based on three tables and updating and inserting ok using trigger instead of.
i have a problem now as in my form i have around 75 fileds (items) incuding 30 or more date fields which could be populated or left blank or update later.
so for each date field i have two boxs; one for date, input as dd/mm/yyyy (text field) and second for time, input as 23:45. All dates will be insert or update manually by user. so as i mentioned not all date fields could be poulated at one stage.
so i have created some process and validations and all of them work fine but i came accross if date left blank then (:) giving me problem so i have done following further process for each date field. In real table all the date fields have data type date.

You can do the needful by re-using the code if you can give the item names as P8_DATE1, P8_DATE_hh1, P8_DATE2, P8_DATEhh2 etc..So your item name just differs by a sequence.
Now you write function which will return desired date value taking above items as input. Pass item names to this function, get session state using APEX_UTIL.GET_SESSION_STATE('item_name') API.
Now modify you code as

v_date_array[i] = f_get_date('P8_DATE'||i, 'P8_DATEhh'||i);
END LOOP;
....Now you have all date valus in array. Just write one update as follows
UPDATE TABLE1

Javascript for multiple date fields

Hi all-
I have to write javascript for 15 different date fields in a form.
The requirement here is that we convert all date fields on Page 100 from date pickers (editable date fields) to display-only date fields with two controls for the users to set the date.
If the field is empty (no date registered yet), there will be a green checkmark(X). When the user clicks this checkmark, the current date is entered into the field.
If the field is not empty (there is a date already in the system), there will be a red X. When the user click this red X, the date from the date field is removed.
The javascript I am using here is

Dynamic value help for a table field to fill two fields, how to?

In SRM 7 I defined a dynamic value help for a single field (ZZ_PROLE_R3) of my header custom table.
That's the code from WDDOMODIFYVIEW in the webdynpro /SAPSRM/WDC_DODC_CT, view V_DODC_CT:

So I'd like to do as follows:
- the user clicks on the search help for ZZ_PROLE_R3 field of the table;
- the above described value help appears;
- after the selection, both ZZ_PROLE_R3 and ZZ_PROLE_R3_DESC are filled with the selected couple value - text chosen from the value help.
Could anyone help me achieving such a behaviour?
Again, a little request... when I open the above value help dialog box, the window itself has a label "Floorplan Manager application for OIF.." that obviously I'd like to redefine (e.g. "Role selection value help"). Is there any way to do that?

lv_guid is the GUID of the document's header; I need to pass it to the method that populates my value help table because the values in it are derived from some fields on the document. (the situation actually is more complex; there's an RFC call on the backend for which the document is intended for to retrieve the data that populate the value help...).
I'm quite unexperienced on webdynpro and terminology; if dropdown menus are fixed selection option that appears on a field, I guess this is not my case. I did a pair of screenshot to provide an idea of what the solution by now is, and what "I would like to have":

Thanks for the code suggestion, I'll apply that. For what concerns the context node THCUS... It is, by standard, a node which I can't explictly find in the context for the view V_DODC_CT. The problem is that ZZ_PROLE_R3 and the corresponding description field ZZ_PROLE_R3_DESC of the table must be filled with data retrieved dynamically @ runtime from the backend. So I guess I can't populate a val help referring to a dictionary table/field; I'd rather do as follows:
- retrieve what's the target backend for the document (to do so, I have to process the document .. that's why the header guid passed to my method);
- RFC call to a custom method that extracts possible values for the specific backend;
- bind the ammissible values to the value help.

BSP: F4 Help For a custom field...

Hi All,
I need to display search help for a custom field in one of my custom view.
Search Help for the custom field is already implemented.. but how can i use it in BSP View!.
In the standard CRM_IC application i couldn't find any similar search help scenario, coz it is calling some standard methods like ShowF4KeyAndValueHelp3,
ICWCShowF4HelpExtern by passing the structure and field name!.
I think these standard methods will work only with the fields which have value help table at the data element level. As the custom field that i m using does not have any value help i cant go for this method i guess!.
Any Help/Hint?..

F4 help for ALV table field

Hi Experts,
I need to implement F4 help for ALV table field.
I my scenario, I am using two views. If we click on any record in fist view then it displays the popup window (second view) with relevant record details.
Here one of the columns having fieldnames corresponding values (old values), for correcting old values I have created new value editable column, we can enter new value for old value then we can save it. Till this functionality is ok.
Then I have included OVS help for new value field. Here I need to get f4 help for newvalue field relevant to fieldname.
For example: user clicks on f4 in cell (new value) then if corresponding fieldname is u2018WERKSu2019 then it shows the plant values
Here I can get fieldname, domain name and value table using method set_attribute ().
Same concept I have implemented in ALV using F4IF_FIELD_VALUE_REQUEST. It is working fine
Here I have little bit confusion. Please advise me how to implement in OVS.

How to add user defined F4 help for s LDB field?

I am using PNPCE Logical Database for a program using the standard HR report category. But I want to have my own restricted F4 help for a particular field.Is it possible to override the standard LDB search help? I tried doing it , but I am getting a syntax error .

Hi Mahesh,
I don't think so that you can attach a User defined F4 help in a standard LDB.
What I would suggest is that you copy the standard LDB into Z LDB from SE80.
Then go to the selection screen of the LDB and either try and attach a F4 help by writing the code in it OR
Hide the field where you want to attach the F4 help with the keyword Exclude(you will have to check on the exact keyword).
And add the same field in the selection screen of the report and define the F4 help.
Do not forget to attach the Z LDB to your report by going to the Attributes.

Help with a date field script

Sorry if this is a repeat. I was interrupted and found that my browser had crashed when I came back so I'm not sure if the question got asked.
I need a script for a date field (mm/dd/yyyy) where the user can only fill in a date that is between 12/31/1899 and the current date (whatever the date when the form is opened). I'm getting better at writing these but I haven't been successful with this one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

To add F4 help for goods recipient field in MIGO

Hello,
I've a requirement in migo, under the details data, we have a "where" tab.
Under this tab, there is a field "Goods Recipient" for input.
Now I've to add a F4 search help for this input field such that it picks up from my ZTABLE.
Can anyone please suggest how to add the search help for this field.
Can this be performed using a field exit or any userexit. MBCF0005 or badi MB_MIGO_BADI ?

I've already created my search help and search help goes well with any of my ztable or zprogram. But, the field where I want to add my search help is a standard migo program SAPLMIGO, and the field where I want to add search help is "good recipient" field under "where" tab of "migo" transaction.
And the name of the field is WEMPF, which belongs to the sap standard structure GOITEM.
So, SAP wont allow me to edit it's standard tables. Is there any other alternative?
