How to create a search help in Abode .

i am using form in Wd Abap SAP ECC 6.0 sp 7.

Help with provide statement In ABAP HR

My requirement is to display locked records with start date and end date
But the problem when i select the period as current month im getting the start date of the current month and enddate of the current month
PROVIDE * FROM p0008 BETWEEN pn-begda AND pn-endda.
        IF p0008-sprps = 'X'.
          gs_final-pernr = p0008-pernr.
          gs_final-cname = w_name.
          gs_final-inftyp = '0008'.
          gs_final-begda = p0008-begda.
          gs_final-endda = p0008-endda.
          gs_final-uname = p0008-uname.
          gs_final-aedtm = p0008-aedtm.
          APPEND gs_final TO gt_final.
        ENDIF.
the current month is selected in the period im getting the begda as 01.11.2009 and endda as 30.11.2009 but the start date and enddate should be 02.11.2009 and 31.12.2009 . after the provide the values are changed

Provide "cuts" the date borders as described in the abap-documentation.
You can use the following:
loop at p0008 where ( begda le pn-begda and endda ge pn-endda ) or
                                   ( begda between pn-begda and pn-endda ) or
                                   ( endda between pn-begda and pn-endda ).
move fields to gs_final
append gs_final to gt_final.
endloop.

How to use Search help PRCTR_EMPTY in Web dynrpo ABAP

Hi,
I have a requirement to use search help PRCTR_EMPTY as F4 help for an InputField in my application. But, in the F4 help, if I select "Profit Center Via Standard heirarchy" and search, it is giving me the following error:
"Sending of dynpro SAPLSPO4 0300 not possible: No window system type specified"
Here the search help is trying to call a R/3 screen from web dynpro.
Pelase suggest me if there is any other way to use this search help in web dynpro.

hello,
Any search help where R/3 screen is called, will not work in WD ABAP environment. You can create search help using OVS and follow the similar way of data selection as in search help.

Search help in Web Dynpro in ABAP

Hi,
I am starting with WD for ABAP (NW04s). I am using PA0022 table as model and displaying these values on the view. By default most of the fields like country, education centre, Faculty, Branch, Score come with an F4 option. But the value displayed in these fields are always key fields(Numeric), which would not make any sense for the end user. Now I would like the Text/Descriptions to be displayed against each field.
Can anyone help me out.

HELP Creating Connections in the ABAP and JAVA Environments

Hi good morning,
I have a problem and I would like your help.
I'm new at Abap and I'm trying to develop an application from ABAP to connect to an environment of java.
I watched how to do this in various forums and the help of SAP, but just as I have found make the connection.
In java I have already developed the server side and I have developed a ABAP function. But is not exactly how it works.
Can you give me an example of how to send data from the sap application to java? Or give me any manual please.

Need help in Floor Plan Manager-ABAP

Dear Experts,
I am a beginner in floor plan manager and i am trying to develop an exercise. I created a Test WD Component and also implemented the Interface for FPM . I changed the component name and Interface view to the FPM_OIF_COMPONENT and FPM_WINDOW respectively but when i create/change configuration, the configurator will start and i specify a new Application
Configuration. And when i try to create new component configuration, I dont know how to include my componentviews here..
I am using the old FPM editor and dont know how to use it.
Please suggest.

Help: SAP Netweaver 7.0 ABAP Trial Version, Progess 22%, no response.

As you can see, the installer stays on Progress 22% without any response, using no CPU or Harddisk resources, Now I'm quite confused, could any one help me out?

ı'm just beginning sap netweaver 7.01 trial version.downloaded it from www.sdn.sap.com.ı followed everything step by step from link of start.html.
during installation first step sapmmcX86u.msi from <extract_folder>\sapmmc.not problem. second step setup.exe from <extract_folder>\image but error

I'm not sure if there is any special setting for activation or de-activating the feature of commenting & un-commenting the code lines in the editor screen of ABAP.However u can try setting the new editor interface ...Its very simple:
Go to Tcode: SE38>>Click Utilities on the Menu bar & select Settings under Utilities>>Under this window that u get u can select: 'Front End editor(NEW)' & then try using control< or control>...
Hope this helps..Nevertheless this new GUI for editor is very good to work with with more functions on the editor screen itself!!!

Help in writing logic to abaper for printing contact details from partnr fn

Hi friends,
I have to give the logic to the abaper to print the contact details of one partner which is manually entered in the quotation at header level.
i have a partner z1 with partner type PE which is manually entered in the partner fn field at the header level. this z1 partner fn is an employee. The name and contact details of this employee needs to be printed in the header of the output.
What is the logic i need to give to abaper for this.

Hi Anand,
In case you do not find an ADRNR for the respective partner funtion in VBPA table, then, it means that the employee number derived from customer master is correct. Then, I think you can take KUNNR number for the employee partner function thro' VBPA and put the same in KNA1 table to get the right ADRNR. (As explained by me in the first post).
My question now is, are you maintaining the employee in XD01 (customer) or in VPE1 (Sales Rep)?
You can try with tables PA0002 Personal Data and PA0006 Addresses only if you maintain employees thro' VPE1 Tcode. PA0006 has PERNR field. But, what you have to make sure is that the table is getting updated. Else, you may not find the data here as well.

Attach Search Help to Context Attribute (WD ABAP)

Hi,
I'm fairly new to the ABAP WD technology. After I've worked out the provided tutorials I'am now encountered a problem on attaching a search help to an context attribute.
The search help I would like to use has several exporting fields. Is there a possibility to dertermine which exporting field of the search help should be bound to the context attribute? As far as I recognized the system behavior it is every time the first exporting field.

It works the same as of within the good old Dynpro. If you use a structure and put (at least) the desired fields inside and attach that structure to the context node, the values of the exporting fields should be moved back properly.

I am having troubles trying to implement an input help for a custom field in the standard Shopping Cart Portal page for item level.
I would like to implement the same input help used in field Network of Activities, but as I can see in WDA component '/SAPSRM/WDC_UI_DO_ACC', it seems to use another component in order to run a remote Search Help (I assume it is an original search help from PS system).
Does anybody know how to use this backend search help WDA Component? (/SAPSRM/WDC_UI_BACKEND_SH)
I haven´t found any information regarding that :S.
Another option would be to create a new RFC FM in PS returning the expected values, and use these entries to build a list value selector associated to the corresponding context attribute (This is not what I would like...)

Figured it out.
/SAPSRM/WDC_UI_BACKEND_SH is a 'freely programmed' search help used in SRM.
1. Add this helpview (HV) component usage to your component controller, and view controller.
2. Map HV SELECTION context to your view
3. Modify the context attribute you want backend searchhelp to 'freely programmed', and select the component usage created in step above (note this is done dynamically in SAP code, b/c attribute is defined as dictionary search help in SAP components) -- this took a bit to figure out.
4. IMPORTANT: Give your context attributes the SAME NAME (COST_CTR in my case) as those in structure /SAPSRM/S_CH_WD_MAP_ACC (how obvious was that)
5. IMPORTANT: Set your LOGSYS in /SAPSRM/CL_PDO_VALHELP_FACTORY class - love those those factories (tic)
DATA: lo_helper TYPE REF TO /SAPSRM/IF_PDO_ACCT_ASSGT_HLPR,
CALL METHOD /SAPSRM/CL_PDO_VALHELP_FACTORY=>GET_ACCT_ASSGT_HELPER
RECEIVING
RO_ACC_ASSGT_HELPER = lo_helper.
CALL METHOD lo_helper->set_searchhelp_control
EXPORTING
iv_logsys = ls_logsys-logsys.
6. Now handle event DATA_SELECTED to get data from SELECTION, and move to your Context field.
How simple was that? Yikes. I should have just built a custom dictionary search help to RFC over and call the BAPI for Cost Center List.

I have 2 table. in that I need to do join. But 2 fields of table A that I need to join with the 2 fields in table B.
But problem is that both the fields of table A can be NULL(either of them).
