    Correction Hints
The currently executed application, or one of the components it depends on, has been compiled against class file versions that are different from the ones that are available at runtime.
If the exception message indicates, that the modified class is part of the Web Dynpro Runtime (package com.sap.tc.webdynpro.*) then the running Web Dynpro Runtime is of a version that is not compatible with the Web Dynpro Designtime (Developer Studio or Component Build Server) which has been used to build + compile the application.
Note: the above hints are only a guess. They are automatically derived from the exception that occurred and therefore can't be guaranteed to address the original problem in all cases.

  • Access a WS defined in XI from NWDS

    Hi,
I've configured a SOAP Adapter in XI. I can access it from XMLSpy with success. Inside NWDS, I've created a new portal component. I've added a new portal service with the wsdl generated by IB:Design. I have also added a DynPage like in the example and I try to access the service. I'm getting the following error :

  • Different behavour of MAM application when starting via NWDS versus SAP MI

    Hello,
We have MAM25 installed and running and have implemented some modification. When I run and test the application from the NWDS everything works fine. But when I restart my laptop and I'm NOT using NWDS and start the mobile client and test the (already deployed) application from there, then the application is behaving differently some functionality that is created is working different.
It looks like that the mobile client is started with different startup parameters. Does anyone has the same experience? Is the Mobile client started differently from NWDS (via run application)? If yes, why?
Hope some one can help me?
    Regards,
    Ryan

    Hello Julien,
Thanks for your answer. But I'm not sure how to check the classpath and the startup class. may you can help me:
In nwds I see that when I run the application the main class is: com.sap.ip.me.mdk.api.runtime.Start  and the arguments are: "-home:C:\Program Files\SAP Mobile Infrastructure" -trace -url:MAM25_V30/start -app:jsp.  The class path from MAM is set to:
        <classpathentry kind="src" path="java"/>
        <classpathentry kind="var" path="JRE_LIB" rootpath="JRE_SRCROOT" sourcepath="JRE_SRC"/>

        <classpathentry kind="output" path="app-root/WEB-INF/classes"/>
When I run the application the following information message appears in nwds:
MOBILE INFRASTRUCTURE 7.0 SUCCESSFULLY LAUNCHED **********
ME started with 'FrameworkInitializer' class and user 'rdou01'
When I start the mobile client using startup.bat. I see that the classpath variables are defined in the file listofjars.txt and set during startup. In these file I added the same path as mentioned before in nwds. Also in the same order. When I start startup.bat and I check the results in the doc command box. I see that the same librarie are loaded.
Still the application behaves different. Is there something else that I can check?

    Hello!
We had a problem described in Can't connect to DTR. NWDS tries to connect to wrong server We resolved it by running NWDS under another Windows user. But when we tried to work with new track (ESS) we've got another issue: our DTR client for new track has been created successfully but disappeared later! Since DTR client dsappeared we cannot check-in our modifications.

    regards, Lev

    Hello,
Since you read my thread, you already know sometimes the DTR Client configuration is not working really well.
I don't know if re-starting the NWDS could work.
Otherwise, your colleague has create an activity and check-in it, so if you want to activate pending activities and have administrator permissions, try:
    1. Log on http://<server-di>:<port-di>/devinf/main as user administrator.
    2. Go to "Component Build Service"
    3. On the top select 'Activities'
    4. Search on the right Buildspace.
    5. There are different Tabs, select "Pending Activities" and filter if needed.
    6. If there, you see the activities, you can select and 'activate' or 'activate even if build fails' it.
    7. You will upload + activate the source code of your colleague and will be able to get it when you sinchronize the DC again from another NWDS.
The last solution, would be to sinchronize the DC into another user laptop. Then override the local code of your colleague in this new DC. New activity will be ask for changes. Apply changes, check-in and activate.
    Hope it helps.
    Regards,
    David.

  • NWDS tool save metadata

    Hi all,
Iam new to NWDS tool and web dynprojava. when i create a component of type web dynpro and create a view in the component. I applied a template of type button with action in the view.when i write some code between @@begin and @@end and save all metadata is pressed.the present view is closing all other methods like wddoint and other methods and eventhandlers. It is showing only the method which we have made the changes. If i want to show all methods  after editing particular method i have to close the view and again i have to open it .then it will show all methods include what i edited recently.... so please help me whether i have to make any changes in  NWDS for this...
    Thanks & Regards
    V.S.R.K.PRASAD

    Hi Prasad,
    Rule is like below -
    //@@begin
custom code is to be written here
    //@@end
And, if yo want to create some custom method then you should go to method tab and click on new button and give method name, retun type whatever necessary. Same for cusom actions as well.
Then, click on implementation tab and go to position inside code where the method is created and write custom code inside it. And then save the metadata. This shoudl work and you dont need to close view.
If above solution doesn't help, then -
    - uninstalled NWDS
    - deleted workspace and .metadata folder. Pay attention to save your workspace (without .metadata somewhere)
    - install NWDS another time
The problem is in the .metadata folder..... be sure to delete it before install the NWDS. This reset all the environment. Be free to copy the project you saved in your workspace (no .metadata folder!!) in order to restore all the projects.

    Sen

  • Webdynrpo Search Help

    Hello everyone,
I have been using the searchhelp functionality developed by DIRK as shown in the below Blog. I am having a problem in using this Search help plugin in NWDS. My problem is:- I am only able to use this plugin for one webdynpro Project/DC. If I use this for another project it is throwing a "Nested Exception" by giving a message "Are all referenced items deployed" and "deployment of atleast one item is failed".
    /people/dirk.rehberg/blog/2006/12/27/generic-search-help-for-web-dynpro-for-java
I think people who have used this Plugin may be aware of what I am talking about. I have been trying to resolve this problem for a while and was not successful. Any help would be very much appreciated.
    Regards,
    Gopal.

    Hi Anup,
Thanks a lot for reply. Yes, the plugin was working fine for my first project. Have you used this plugin before?
Now, I figured out what the problem is, but I dont know how to resolve it. The problem is, everytime we run the plugin wizard, it creates a webdynpro component automatically without needing any coding. You can just deploy the project and run it. But, everytime it create the same component name automatically i.e., "SearchHelpComp".
But, if I try and change the name of the component it has got so many dependancies as the plugin is linked to the backend, and it is throwing a "Null pointer exception". Could you please help me to resolve this issue, I would appreciate your help.

    Gopal.

  • Error while "Project Code Generation" in Entity service

    Hi SDN's,
I have created an entity service which is the help documentaion of NWDS. After completion of all steps while generating project code i am getting an error called "AbstractStringBuffer not reachable"
Can any body help me in solving this issue.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Raju,
it seems like you have a version problem, try to use jdk 1.4 or higher and try.
    Or go to
Prefrences --> Java --> Installed JRE's here change the Jdk to the latest, compatable version
Sometimes reinstallation also solves such problems.

  • Differences in means of deployment

    Hi Everyone,
Could i know what is the difference between deploying through NWDS and SDM.Why are we using NWDI.
Why are we using NWDI for business packages as a compulsion.
    Thanks in advance..

    Hi,
NWDS is a development environment, at if you for example deploy webdynpro application it again connects to SDM on the server to deploy.
So we just have helper tool on NWDS to deploy on server, but any way these helper tools will anyway use the tools on server to deploy.
It is not a must to use NWDI to develop business packages, I developed a business packages which only has par file, there we need no NWDI at all. So it depends what you are developing, if you develop DC's then you need NWDI.
Using NWDI you have a sourcecontrol in it which also helps people to work in teams and not overwrite each others code.
So it all depends on what you are doing.

  • "Error getting EJB Manager": password?

    Hi,
I have just installed Weblogic 6.1 and am trying to use the examples server. After I start my server, if I want to do something minor like list all EJBs deployed, I get the following error:
              >java weblogic.deploy list mypassword
              Connecting to localhost, port 7001...
Error getting EJB manager - have you supplied a password?
              Error: class javax.naming.CommunicationException [null]
"mypassword" is the same that I supply while starting weblogic server. I'm running the examples server in development mode so all EJBs in examples directory should be deployed. (If I go into web console and look under ejb deployments, I see all the jar files in examples directory and they are marked as deployed. Yet, I can't call any client on them from command line).
              I would appreciate any help.
              Thanks a lot.

    Hi Biqiang ,
    please confirm the followings:
    - your SLD is running on the very same host as DTR.
If not, then you have specified the SLD's host in the Development Configuration Pool settings in NWDS.
    - your NWDS matches to the version of the DTR on server side. This is important since the NWDS has also DTR client built in which guarantees the communication between DTR client and DTR server. If there's a major difference between them, you can face communication problems. You can check the version of NWDS in Help -- About in NWDS menu, and you can check the version of the DTR by checking the version of the SC DI_DTR on server side. This you can check by invoking the Component Info page. On 700 this is http://host:port/sap/monitoring/ComponentInfo, as of 710 this is http://host:port/nwa/sysinfo -- "Components" tab.
    Best Regards,
    Ervin
P.S.: I have also seen you have opened a ticket by us. I'll inform the processor to be aware of this forum thread.

  • Comsume enterprise service from service registry

HI guys, now I want to consume enterprise services form ECC6  in NWDS, should me publish enterprise services to service registry? and then I consume services from service registry. How should i do?thanks

    Hi lei,
If u can access the ES workplace u can directly consume the service by downloading the wsdl either locally or through the service registry. To use the SR u would have to use the S user ID of ES workplace.
Just check this blog by Boris. It is a step by step approach to consume an ES wsdl through a simple java client using NWDS.
Remember to uncheck wsdl validator in NWDS before u dwnld wsdl in NWDS,else it might give an error.

Seems like the SAP_BUILDT SCA is missing from your track. Did you check-in and import all three SCA's (SAP_BUILDT, SAP_JTECHS and SAP-JEE)?
