F4 setting reset

I was playing a game that uses the function keys.
I hit the video setting on this game(F4 key).
i disabled the HP/notebook keys by default, but.
when i alt tab out of this game, the display is still darkened like it thinks i hit the F4 video display button agian.
how do i fix this, so that when i alt tab, the screen isn't dimmed?

Not as far as I know. It's a well documented bug.

         I am having a requirement to set/reset a delivery block in schedules lines of a particular line item when there is a change in ship-to-party in a sales order (VA02).
         If the ship-to-party is in 'US' then there is no delivery block in Schedule lines,or if it is some other country then the delivery block has to be set in schedule lines.

What exactly do you mean by "not able"? USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBEP should work or, in the worst case, USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE.

If you wish to reset all preferences to the defaults, you may use 3) or 4) in the following list, which is made for troubleshooting.
3) is easier, 4) is reversible.

You can make a RS flip flop by knowing the 4 states:

External display physical arrangement setting reset each time?

When I connect my Dell 2407WFPb 24" LCD display to my 15" MacBook Pro running Vista Business SP2 under Bootcamp using the DVI adapter and I set the physical arrangement of the display using the Windows Display Setting control panel, when I disconnect and reconnect the display, the arrangement setting is reset and I have to go through the process again.
When I'm booted into Mac OS X and I unplug/plug the external display, it remembers the physical arrangement just fine.
Has anyone else had this issue, and have come across a way to resolve it?

If it happens again, you can start System Preferences > displays > arraignment tab.
There you will see the two screens. One will have a little white bar at the top. You can drag that bar to either screen and it will become the display that has the menu and doc icons.

DPI and "Zoom" Setting Reset In Microsoft Office

I recently purchased a new laptop that comes with a 15.6" screen and 1920 x 1080 resolution. Native, it makes it very hard to read text.
I was flipping back and forth between a variety of different DPI / zoom settings to find one that was a good fit. The default one in windows from HP is the 125% zoom but I also tried 150% and others.
Now, all of my office menus are messed up! Windows menus and desktop are fine, and the start menu is fine - the problem is specific to Microsoft Office menus. Basically, the DPI for only the menus is stuck in large setting. Everything else is normal but
the menus are disproportionally large.
How do I reset that? I tried resetting the view option but that did not work. Thanks!

Please try to start the Office program in safe mode
1. Click Start, point to All Programs, and then point to Microsoft Office.
2. Press and hold the CTRL key, and then click the Office program you want to start.
If the problem does not occur in the safe mode, this issue might be related to some third-party add-ins in the Office program, we can try to disable
them. Normally, you could do the following to disable the conflict add-ins in your Office program:
Disable add-ins

1. Click File menu, click Options > Add-in, click Go button in the Manage: Com-in Add.
2. Check if there are any add-ins, clear the checkbox to disable them.
3. Close the Office program and restart it.
4. Add one check back each time to the list of Add-In, restart the Office program, and repeat the above procedure. Once the issue reappears again, we
can determine which add-in causes this problem and then disable it.

Image size using percent set - resets to pixel size on edit of page. Need to stop that behavior.

I need to set image sizes using percent so they are resized per screen. (obviously). I do so and save the web page. If I reopen the page for editing the darn images reset to pixels. In other words it is actually forcing the percentage size to a pixel size which means I have "fix" every darn image on a page again.
What am I doing wrong? Is this behavior changeable? I looked through preferences and found no such item.

If you are using the html5 doctype then this is the correct behaviour as % values are not allowed on images within an html5 document. If it is html5 then set the % values using css.

Does Personalization setting resets after Patch update

Hello Everybody,
We have a concern. We want to enable personalization for Web dynpro Java applications in NWA and then disable personalization for iviews where it is not required. For example after setting allow personalization to true in NWA i will disable personalization for all ESS/MSS WD Java apps.
If i perform a patch update for the ESS BP will setting be removed or reset?

How to set / reset radio buttons in screen..

i have 4 radio buttons in my screen, initially only the first one must be active and all other must not be in selected state. at any point of time only one must be selected and based on the selection the subscreen area must be filled with the subscreen.
whats the code to check if the radio button is selected or how to set the action for the radio button selection ?

You put them all in a radiobutton group.
For example:
PARAMETERS: rb_pres RADIOBUTTON GROUP rbf,"Presentation Server Files
rb_app RADIOBUTTON GROUP rbf."Application Server Files
The first one is defaulted to "X", but you can also do that yourself.
You check the value = "X" to see which is selected or say IS NOT INITIAL.

I have one requriement like this I need to update the user status for many operations of single PM order at a time when user sets or resets the status. Kindly let me know is there any function module or any bapi for this or can you suggest me how to proceed with the further actions to handle this.

Before i tell you the FM, there is something u must know about changing the user statuses in PM.
User statuses are sequential in nature. Eg, if current user status is 15 and you want to set the new status to 30, you must set it to 20, then 25 and then finally 30.
For this you must first fetch all the valid statuses for the PM order depending on its status profile.
Next, call the following FM repeatedly each time passing the next status number in sequence until you reach the desired status number:
'STATUS_CHANGE_EXTERN'.

Apex Listener in standalone mode, how to set/reset db connection.

Sometime ago I installed Apex Listener for testing, then I removed it.
Now I downloaded last version, installed it in standalone mode and try to set the DB connection.
However when I try to edit in listenerAdmin page the db connection parameters I can't : they are greyed and report the connection informations I gave in my first test installation.
How can I change them ?
How can I avoid all fields in listenerAdmin greyed ?

Hello Tullio,
you can run /listenerConfigure/ only as long as there is no configuration available. The database parameters can only be setup when the APEX Listener is not connected due to the state of its connection pool. Once it is established, you can only configure it offline by editing the apex-config.xml . That's why the parameters are greyed out in /listenerAdmin/.
You probably only removed the war file of your test installation, but not the apex.home including the apex-config.xml that is stored in there. So your new installation found the old home and reused the connection.
You could either edit the apex-config.xml or delete the apex.home and rerun /listenerConfigure/
If you run on a windows system, you'll find the apex.home in your users TEMP, usually located in the temp folder underneath the local settings of your user profile. The directory to locate is now called "apex".

I recently reset my iphone back to factory settings by accident when updating to the latest ios8 and I lost all of my text message history. Is there a way to undo reset or uncover my text messages?

If you've ever backed up your device you can restore your phone from that backup....but data will only be from the date of that backup. Let's say you backed up your device in September. Accidentally erased it in November. If you restore it from that backup it'll look like it did in september, but any and all data put on it between september and November will be gone.
