F4v wont load in firefox the first time.

Hi all!
Im not sure if this is the place to put this, but i have a problem.
I have created a swf movie file that containes the movie playback panel & a f4v video & I have uploaded them to a subfolder on my server.
The whole site has a secure connection (https), but the page that i will try to embed the movie will have a regualr connection (http).
The problem arises when i do embed this flash video in a HTML file. in IE & Chrome it works and looks great, But in firefox it doesnt.
If i clear my cache (as if i were a new visitor to the site) and enter the page, the movie isn't displayed at all...is shows "done" in the browser loading bar.
After about a minute or so (which i assume is the amount of time it takes to load the full movie), i hit refresh, and the movie appears fully loaded.
The movie is currently embeded in my homepage (via Iframe - for site protocol reasons), and if it wont load immidiatly from the first time a user enters the site, many users will miss the video (and get a blank white box in the middle of the site).

I really hope you can help me make sense of this problem...

Firefox does not load any sites the first time, including Firefox itself, other browsers do.

In the last few days I have experienced a problem logging on to nearly every site the first time. I get the message that the connection was reset....we have 3 identical computers in our home and I am the only one experiencing this problem. I can immediately try again and log on, but it is annoying to get that message with all sites, including Firefox itself, I have tried to clean out my cache and my cookies, but the problem persists.
Also, firefox is locking up my computer frequently. As it is as I attempt to send this message. I will copy and past this into another message as soon as I restart my computer.

Yes the problem has reappeared, so I tried bypassing the cache for my Windows computer as you suggested: Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button, or "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows) I then clicked on my bookmark (http://mdotnetpublic.state.mi.us/drive/ ) and I still see a blank screen and a spinning wheel. This seems to go on indefinitely. But like before I posted the question, when I click the reload button it forces the page to load right away.

!!!Loading Servlets for the first time!!!

Whenever I first start weblogic and I hit a servlet for the first time there
is a long initialization period. My servlet uses a ton of other classes
which is the reason for the lag. Once it is hit for the fist time, every
subsequent hit is very fast. This I believe is due to the fact that all of
the other dependent classes are loaded into Weblogic's JVM.
My first solution to this problem was to use weblogic's build in servlet
startup class which loads the servlet and calls its init method. This does
not work because much of my initialization is done in other servlet methods.
The servlet itself is initialized but all of its dependent classes are not.
My second solution was to preload all of the dependent classes when the
server starts up. So when the first user hits the a servlet they do not have
to wait 30+ seconds. Therefore I also tried implementing a T3Client of my
own which extends T3StartupDef. This class takes in as args all of the
dependent classes and loads each one into memory. But this seems not to work
because I JVM is garbage collecting all of the classes initialized.
Has anyone out there encountered this problem.

How often does this servlet have to be reloaded? If your WL server isn't
being bounced, then only one server per WL bounce will ever see this
problem; a simple solution would be for the support team to just invoke that
servlet on those occasions when the server bounces.

Certain website does not load page on the first time in Firefox 31

Hello,
When I start Firefox 31 after loading Windows or again after clearing internet cache, this particular bookmark of mine " http://mdotnetpublic.state.mi.us/drive/ " won't load the web page. All you see is a blank screen and a spinning wheel.
However, if I click on the reload button the page then loads correctly.
I don't have this problem with any of my other bookmarks.
Does anyone know what the problem might be? Thanks for your help.

Where is my music and playlists? Opened iTunes to find my music and playlists gone, as if I just loaded iTunes for the first time.

Running Windows 64 bit. This has happened before. It was running great for the last 8 months (including this morning), syncing no problem with a variety of Apple devices. Opened it today and it is like I have a brand new iTunes loaded up with no music or playlists.
Please assist getting my music back and playlists (took hours to rebuild playlists last time). Why does this happpen?

There's a couple of ways to get through to the authorisation controls in the 11.0.x versions.
The control is still in the Store menu, but first (if you're using iTunes versions 11.0.x) you might need to bring up the menu bar to see the Store menu.
If you're using 11.0.x, click on the wee boxy icon up in the top-left corner of your iTunes to see the "Show Menu Bar" control, as per the following screenshot:

Alternatively, if you don't want to bring up the menu bar, it's still possible to get into the authorise controls via nested menus accessible from the wee boxy icon. Here's a screenshot of where to find them:

This is the first time it's ever happened. I downloaded the new operating system for Firefox but I can't install it until the Firefox currently running on my laptop quits, which it won't.

Calling a Flash object HTTPS ( only in IE, not loading the first time )

I'm trying to call a flash object from a bsp page, I've uploaded the flash into the mime repository (via the SE80). It works quiet well in Firefox, but with IE, i need to refresh the page, it won't load the first time i access the page.
Does anyone has any idea ?? do i have to customize something within the SICF ?

Edge animate animation does not start the first time I load the page. But does the second time.

Hi all,
I am having trouble with an edge animation on a web page. It doesn't load the first time the page is loaded, but loads fine the second time or any time after that. To test I am clearing my cache, then reloading the page. It seams to work in IE the first time but not Firefox or chrome.

I found the answer here ... Publishing no longer works in latest Edge
It appears that you need to load the latest jQuery in the head of the pag. That fixes it.

When I open FF4 for the first time after starting the computer it is very slow to load. From then on it loads normaly.

I have an HP Pavilion DV9000.

I had this problem too. Not just with FF 4 but also previous versions. For that and other reasons I decided to by an SSD and install windows and all the programs on there. That worked fine except for firefox. Boot time is much faster (2o secs) and programs (from the startup folder) are loaded almost immediately after the desktop comes up. However firefox still took 90 seconds to load. After some trial and error I disables in the registry prefetcher and superprefetch (I am running windows 7, no SP1). Then I restarted my computer twice. The first time firefox did not load any faster but at any subsequent startup firefox starts in a few seconds. In fact some times it is so fast it comes up before the wireless network connection is established. HTH

Installed Firefox 3.6.8 for the first time and it keeps crashing

I just installed Firefox for the first time and when it is finished installing I tell it to start. It tries and as soon as it does I get a crash report. Every time I click Restrt Firefox it comes up with the same crash error, which is the following:

You mean out of this whole community no one knows how to fix this ... I wanted to give Firefox a try, but honestly, I am starting to see why I have not switched from IE, it is stable and I get answers when I post to the Microsoft boards as well as the answer to everything I have ever had an issue with is out there ... what is worse is that I am not the only one with this problem and no one can still help because I am sure us five are not the only ones that have run into this.

For the first time I hate Firefox! Important time-saving feature removed (4.0)

For the first time I hate Firefox (4.0).
They removed the feature for the user to jump back multiple pages at once. I use this MANY MANY times a day and now I have to go back one page at a time until I get back to where I want to go. IF I have to go back (say) 10 pages or so it takes forever and I have to wait for the page to show to see if that is the one I wanted or have to go back further. This is a HUGE waste of time.
IF Firefox does not restore this feature soon I will have no choice but to find another browser that has this feature. I cannot and will not waste my time with a browser that doesn't have this important feature.
Also, 4.0 is regularly crashing (much more than before).

It is still there. You can get the drop down list by either right-clicking on the back/forward buttons, or holding down the left button until the list appears.
If you want the drop-down arrow you can add it with the Back/forward dropmarker add-on - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/backforward-dropmarker
