Im not sure if this is me doing something stupid but I have
    been
playing round with classes and noticed that in the debugger,
    the local
variables are no longer displayed in the debugger after
    returning from
a custom class get method. I have managed to work round this
behaviour for a while but Im now stuck.
I have posted a sample flash file with actionscript and
    sample class
    at
    http://www.zerofiveone.com/flashlocalvars.zip
    which displays
this behaviour everytime. View the testscript.as file for
    info on
    where to place your breakpoints.
If someone could put my out of my misery and let me know if I
    am doing
something wrong I would apprecaite it.
If im not doing anything wrong is there a workaround?
Any help would really....really be greatly appreciated as Im
    stuck
trying to work a fairly complex bug from some of my
    actionscript and
this is causing me many headaches.

  • Labview local variables not always renamed

    Hello,
I might be missing something, but it seems that sometimes the local variables in my VIs are not always updated when I rename the Front Panel control associated with it.
I have an example where I right click on the terminal of a control named "RxConfigTest", create local variable.  The local variable that gets created is named with the old name "RxConfig1".
Have you ever seen that behavior?  I'm using LV 7.1.1.
    Thank you,
    Mathieu

    Hi,
Thanks for the response, but I was actually displaying the label.  I know that this sounds like a newbie question, but I'm not.
I noticed that by closing and re-openning my VI after the rename, the variables were updated.  It looks like a refresh that was not done.  Even the local variable in the block diagram was not resized to the new text of the variable name.
I'll try to grab a screen shot if it happens again.

  • Formula variable not displayed in proper format

    Hai,
I used a keyfigure formula variable, that gets current date, in a query (In columns, key figure structure to calculate no. of days). The no. of days are calculated peoperly and everything is just perfect.
But after executing the query, when I display text element=> variables, the system is displaying the variable as 20,060,803 as opposed to date format like 8/3/2006.
Question: Is it how the date formula variable is displayed or there is a system error?
I remember seeing it in date format.
Can somebody comment on this or suggest a solution.
I couldn't find notes on this too!

In the restricted key figure formula definition, use the Data function "Process Value as Date DATE" and enclose your restricted key figure calculation inside the date parenthesis.
I have another related problem.  I am trying to use dates to calculate 30 days before a (date formula variable), 60 days after, etc.  Some of the dates are calculating correctly, but some are just returning an X.  All appear to be extracting with the same format.
    Anyone have a similar problem?

  • System Variable not display properly

i need to resolution on this and need system varible list.
Could you please let me know the area that shows table name .
i am going to explain in detail like if i need to see some table name then my
first step will be go to>view>system information-->then move the
mouse on value from which i want to see table name then the table name
display down area near by task bar.
i just wanted to say sometimes table name not display prpperly ,its hide so
can i see the hide table name this is my questation.
please let me know the workaround only so that i can developed my report.
    awating for your reply.
    Regard,

    Divya,
I don't think there are table names on this back order form.  All variables are calculated results by system.

  • Properties & Variables not showing in debugger

I have flash mx and the debugger will not show any data for
the Properties, Variables, Locals, or Watch tabs. I've selected
everything on the object panel above it and nothing shows (yes, I
know what scope is). I've set break point at various places in the
action script. I've single clicked, double clicked, drag-n-dropped,
highlighted, tried scripts in the samples folder, upgraded to MX
7.2, downgraded back to MX 7.01, reinstalled and still no progress.
I simply cannot view the variables or properties.. not even on
_level0 or _global. I also cannot set watch variables.
I tried debugging a new document with 1 frame, 1 default
layer, and an empty stage with this action script on the first
    frame.
    var test_str = String("test 1");
    var test_str2 = "test 2";
    trace(test_str);
    trace(test_str2);
    for (i = 0; i < 10; i++) {
    trace(i);
I'm just getting extremely frustrated with this as I cannot
use the debugger to figure out a code problem. I've used many
debuggers before with a number of languages: C/C++, VB, Java from
Sun and MS, Javascript, Perl so I am NOT a newbie at this.
What am I doing wrong? Is there a known bug or am I not
    setting some obscure parameter?

is the 'Call Stack' area covering up your properties +
variables(if it is drag this area down - move your pointer just
above the words 'call stack' until it turns into a double arrow and
    drag down)
    Man. That was it. UGH.
I'm not a GUI type of developer so I assumed the call stack
was the variable panel. UGH. Now I feel stupid. However, in my
defense, there's no obvious visual resizing handle on the panel
edge. You can only tell if you mouse over and see the cursor
    change.

  • Deferred Task --- Variables not displaying in "Email Notification"

    Hi,
there have been quite a lot of postings here regarding the issue of Deferred Tasks.
I created a Deferred Task, and it is working perfectly. My deferred task is supposed to send an email notification on a pre-set date.
The Email is being sent as it should.
Just one problem : the "variables" / "attributes" of the particular User are not being displayed in the body of the email.
The "Email Notification" is supposed to say something like : "*This is to notify you that the account for user Michael Jackson has been updated. Next update will occur on blah-blah-blah"*
In other words, the body of the email should display the attributes : FIRSTNAME, LASTNAME, NEXT-DATE, etc, etc
I input these attributes in the body of the email as follows : $firstname, $lastname, etc, etc, etc
Furthermore, I made sure to DECLARE these variables at the beginning of the Email Template, as follows :
    *<EmailTemplate name='Send Notification' displayName='Send Notification' creator='Configurator' createDate='1258045088776' lastModifier='Configurator' lastModDate='1259051622181' lastMod='1' repoMod='1259051624770' smtpHost='$(smtpHost)' fromAddress='[email protected]' toAddress='[email protected]' authEnabled='$(authEnabled)' userId='$(userId)' password='$(password)' ssl='$(ssl)' port='$(port)'>*
    *<Variable name='firstname'>*
    *<select>*
    *<ref>user.global.firstname</ref>*

    *</Variable>*
    *<Variable name='lastname'>*
    *<select>*
    *<ref>user.global.lastname</ref>*
    *</select>*
    *</Variable>*
Apparently, there is something I am not doing correctly. But, I can't figure out what it is.
    Any tips would be welcome.
    Thanks.

Email templates are slightly different in how they reference variables. Here's what I do in one of my deferred tasks. Notice the arguments in the action and the way the email template references those arguments, specifically the eventDate, accountId, method and eventtime arguments. The other variables are either filled in by IDM's configuration or they resolve to blank or empty strings.

  • Default value of BeX customer Exit variable not Displayed in WeBI??

    Hello Experts,
We are stuck with a problem where WeBI report is created on top of BeX query and we are not able to see the default value of Bex Customer exit variable in WeBI run. Here is the complete scenario:
    1. One restricted KF is created in BeX, restricted with Customer exit variable on net Due date. And this variable is mandatory, ready for input, and Default value in calculated is user exit as current Week's Monday.
    2. So, by default KF data should be restricted to Monday of current week, if user does not change this value.
    3. Now, WeBI report is created on top of this Bex query, and all is working fine, i.e. we are getting variable as Prompt in WeBI, but Default value is not shown while Running the Webi Report.
So, need your inputs on the same, if default values from BeX in WeBI is supported or not? If yes, why this is happening, and how to resolve it?
Please notice, the restrcition is in KF only, it is not a separate restrcition on Net Due date in Filter area or in Defualt area of BeX
and we are on SAP BW 7.1 and BOXI 3.1 SP4.

    Hi,
See 1285993 - Support of Customer Exit Variables from BEx query into WebIntelligence via OLAP universe
WebI will prompt when executed, but the default values calculated by the user exit  - do not appear.
Note: If the BEx variable has property 'ready for input' set / enabled, then its WebI prompt shows ok, but no default value appears.
    Cause
This behaviour expected 'by design' (in the context of the product's current limitations) as explained in the online guide below:
Please refer to Chapter 7, page 44, document link here: http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/boexir3/en/xi3_sap_olap_universes_en.pdf
Characteristic variable > processing type > Customer Exit  is "Supported, without user entry"

  • Labview FPGA: Why not have local variable without indicator?

In Labview FPGA, to transfer data among parallel loops, there are three ways or maybe more, local variable, global variable and block memory. The problem with local variable is that it needs an indicator along with, not like global variable. I was thinking why Labview doesn't make a kind of local variable not need indicator? I guess local variable itself doesn't cost resource much compared to global variable, however when it comes into indicator, it will cost more. Just an idea, though. I guess there is a reason NI doesn't do that.

As in Labview document, global variable can be used for transfer data among VIs, which local variable isn't capable of.
Global variable is not always a better solution. From my experience, it is still unclear among different compilations using local vs global in terms of resources. A thread here http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/FPGA-global-variables-vs-front-panel-items/td-p/1407282 talks about that too.
Stephen, is there any documents say that global makes timing worse? I didn't see this noticeable.

  • Ads are not displaying properly in Safari, v 4.0.5

I am having an odd problem with display ads from our local newspaper not displaying properly on my Mac Pro in Safari. I suspect that the issue might be related to having had some AdBlock app on my system a few months ago. I removed the app and some ads display, but others are just a white block with nothing inside. Is there any way to figure out why the content doesn't load?
    The website is http://www.echopress.com
The ads I'm having issues with are the 300x250 ads in the right 3rd column, located directly below the weather info and above the "marketplace" ads.
    Any ideas or troubleshooting tips?
    Thanks,
    Grady
Oh, why do I wanna see em in the first place? I'm an advertiser on the site and would like to see my own ads load occasionally.

    Hey ho, Grady!
I can see all the ads on the right,
with the exception of the very top (first) box
which has the header of "Weather Alerts).
It's blank, and I'm assuming you have no alerts at the present.
All the rest of the paid for ads show.
So, what I would do is clear my Safari cache, history, and
in Preferences>Security, clear all the cookies from that site.
    Hope this helps.
If you need more info just holler.
Let us know how you're doing, OK?

  • Having Trouble Copy and Pasteing Local Variable in LabVIEW 2010

I am Having Trouble Copy and Pasteing Local Variable in LabVIEW 2010 in s subVI.
I have a VI that has a Local Variable called "Node Addr". I can select it OK, and it appears to Copy OK, But when I go to paste it, nothing appears. It doesn't matter if I use Cntrl-C Cntrl-V or the Copy and Paste from the Edit menu, I get the same results. I tried many times and got the same results. I made sure that I had click a paste location. I can insert the Local Variable if I use the Data Communication panel.
On one of the Paste, I got an error in the error list that said that a Local Variable was not connected to anything. When I clicked on the error, it took me to an insible item in the lower right corner of the block diagram that had nothing but a select box around it. I couldn't select the invisible item, but I could delete it.
Why does the copy and paste of this local variable not work?
Why does the paste cause the insertion of an invisible item?

    dbaechtel wrote:
My VI is fairly complicated. In several places in the VI, I am either reading or writing to this variable which is an numeric Indicator on the Front Panel. Using local variables seems to be the best way to handle this situation rather that using wiring all over the VI. Since the VI is mainly a State Machine and there are only 2 Writes to the local variable, I am not afraid of race conditions in this case.  NO!! While you may think that using Locals is your solution to wiring, it is not!  The fact that you are writing and reading, most likely from several places, will most definitely contribute to a race condition.  Depending on your implemetation, you should ALWAYS use wires.  The wires are the variable.  If you are using a loop (While, For), then using shift registers are appropriate means for routing values so that they are used by other sections of the code, later.  One thing you must respect with LabVIEW is the dataflow.  That's where Locals often fail.
I am not copying the Local Variable from one VI to another.
I am not copying the Local Variable from one VI to another.
The Data Communication panel is one of the panels that shows up in the Functions pop up list when editing the Block Diagram. It is the panel that includes the Local Variable function.
I don't know if the invisible item that was inserted in my block diagram was hidden or not. All I know is that the Errors List said that it was a Local Variable and that it was not connected to anything. I couldn't select it to get more information. All I could do was delete it.
You did not address my questions about why the Copy and Paste does not work properly for my Local Variable.  Maybe it's a sign from the Software Gods not to use them LOL!..
So if I understand correctly, you are trying to copy & paste the Local Variable from within the same VI.  How large is your block diagram?  Did you try right-click on the variable and select "Find > Local Variables"?  If it's a block diagram larger than 1 single screen (which it shouldn't), then it is possible that the Local is hiding beyond the screen.  You should find it as I described earlier.
See my comments in red above.

    Hello,
We are experiencing a problem when we have text with accented characters an a variable beside it within the same text box.
The problem is that the accented characters in the text do not display correctly in the preview or publised course to Flash9
These characters display correctly in Captivate in edit mode.
This is the process we have followed:
    Export to XML
    Translated
    Import XML
    Publish to Flash9
    Captivate version:  4
    OS: Windows Vista SP2
We have tried to work with locale in Spanish with no luck, the only solution we have found is to put the text and the variable in different text boxes
I have pasted an image of the preview and also of the text in Captivate edit mode.
Any help will be very welcomed !
    Tess

    Hi there
I agree with Lilybiri that you should definitely file a Bug Report.
However, a thought occurs here. Have you tried placing the accented text in a User Defined variable?
Assuming this is a workaround, my thought is that you could then just have a caption with two variables. The User Defined variable containing the accented text followed immediately by the system variable providing the Project Name.
