PURPOSE
한국에서는 사용하지 않는 상각 방법이지만 중국이나 영국에 지사나 본사를
둔 회사에서 가끔식 상각 방법의 문의가 있어서 Setup 방법을 설명한다.
Explanation
1. Setup > Asset System > Calendar
Monthly Calendar를 만든다.
2. Setup > Asset System > Prorate Convention
Daily Prorate Convention을 만든다.
3. Setup > Asset System > Book Controls
Depreciation calendar : Monthy
Prorate calendar : Dailys
Devide depreciation : By Days

Preview monitor not displaying properly

i just did a clean install of leopard, then did a clean install of FCS2, and then ran all the updates. a couple days later i try to run color (which worked on this machine when i had tiger)and the preview window is very funky and not usable. i have attached a screenshot. i tried restarting, tried other clips, tried other formats- but nothing seems to get the preview to actually display the video properly.
color did work on this exact setup before i upgraded the OS. I bought anew harddrive and installed everything from scratch. i have the ati x1900 as the main card with pcie lane width set to 16 as well as an ati hd 2600xt with the lane width set to 1x. i have a mac pro with 8 gigs of ram, 8 core x 3.0ghz.
working with prorez footage. no special hardware add ons at all. sent to color command in fcp kept causing a crash as soon as i tried to playback in color (and preview monitor still didn't work).

Again, you need to use a video input/output device (I sound like a blasted broken record with this) with a video display device capable of a daily setup, like a projector or a video crt or flat panel. Using computer monitors with Color is worthless.

Trim Monitor not displaying properly

See attached screen shot. As you can see the the numbers are half cut off in the trim monitor.

How to setup daily incremental loads

Hi:

OBIA 7.9.6.3
I've been building and configuring OBIA in a test environment, and I'm planning the go-live process. When I move everything to production, I'm sure I would need to do a full load. My question is, what do I need to do to change the DAC process from a full load to a nightly incremental load?

Go to DAC->Setup->Physical Data Sources-> select the connection type any of Source or Target
Look for the 'Refresh Dates' for list of tables make sure you have data entry of Yesterday or any date.
Do the same for Source and Target connections

How do I setup an automatic daily email with PDF attachment?

I would like to setup an automatic daily e-mail (that will send every day around 6 AM), with an PDF attachment retrieved from a web URL. The web URL is constant (that is the PDF file name never changes). Any ideas? I've messed around with automator with poor results at best. Thanks in advance!

There is an online report that is updated every morning at 5:30 AM MST. The ideal solution would email that document to myself every morning.; thus when I wake up, it's sitting in my inbox (iPhone/Macbook/Gmail, etc.)

Or not following Procurement's red tape trail can delay purchasing of critical software or hardware by months.

You can try to use the package DBMS_JOB.
In the package specification is a description how to use it. The parameter called INTERVAL can be used to start your job every night.

Mail Requests Account Setup Daily

Hi,
I've recently installed Safari 4 beta. Since doing so, at midnight, Mail runs its 'Welcome to Mail' setup. I don't use Mail, nor do I want to, however, I can't for the life of me, figure out how to make this behavior stop. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Remove Safari 4 Beta. I've seen a number of other reports involving weird Mail problems starting at the same time as installing this beta, and one person reported that removing the beta immediately solved the problem he was having.

Neo 2 865PE Setup Options-Opinions Wanted

Hi, I finally got my new PC set up and I have some setup questions I'd like to get some opinions on:
1) My Hard drive is an ATA133 from Maxtor. Is it better for me to use the IDE1 slot or the Promise IDE3 slot? If I use the IDE3 slot, I will be able to run all of my IDE using peripherals as masters and I wont have to slave anything.
2) Sound- Is the onboard sound better then a Creative Labs Soundblaster Live card?
3) Bios Settings....what are the best performance settings I should use considering the following hardware:
- MSI Neo 2 FISR 865PE Motherboar
- 2.6GHZ 800FSB P4 CPU
- two 256MB Giel 533MHZ PC4000 RAM (512MB total)
- Gainward Ti4200 G4 128 MB "golden sample" video card.
I read in Toms Hardware in this article that I should be able to Overclock the BUS to 900 and perhaps 1000 with a setup like the one I have...the only major difference is that I got 512MB of RAM where in the article he uses 1000 MB of RAM.

There'll be no difference of ATA100 and ATA133, the speed is not easy or almost impossible to be detected on daily usage.
I'm pretty happy with my NEO2's onboard AC97' chip, it delivers good quality sound for average users like me, regardless in terms of gaming, musics or movies. Unless you want very high quality sound likewise DTS, THX or doing music ripping, then you may need a better sound card like Audigy 2.
Your setup is ok, but be very careful with your RAMs as the NEOs are not yet very stable at support RAMs of more than 400MHz in speed, during the setups, if you're encountering instabilities, I'll recommend you to lower your RAMs speed to 400MHz and lower all latencies and increase the RAMs Voltage to 2.7v, set AGP/PCI Freq to 67.01/33.50Mhz.

I want to get my parents setup with an imac and iPad. They are elderly and we live in different countries. I want to know what solution exists so I can be the remote administrator to maintain and keep them up and running .. I dont want anything fancy.

I would like to setup my eldery parents with an imac and ipad which I know will greatly help them in their daily life. The technology they love to play with whenever I visit, but they can never keep anything running or sync'ed unless I am around. Medical and other issues make this a real challenge for them. Unfortunately, I live in a different country and see them maybe once per year. I'm surrounded my apple products but never tried remote administration and wondered what I would need (software and hardware) to make this noble venture sucessful. Anyone out there has some experience or recommendations? I'm looking for something that is simple and reliable to implement ...

I agree with the bigger screen. I have the Samsung ATIV Smart PC with a screen 11.6" which is great to watch shows/movies! anything bigger is almost too big for a tablet (personal opinion).

Depending on the Operating System (Windows, Android, etc.) you will have access to an app store where you can buy and download content. Alternatively you can access your favorite sites to read news, get books, magazines, etc.
Hooking things to your tablet - different tablets will have different ports (USB, HDMI, etc.) Question to ask prior to making a purchase as some do not have ports (iPad). Back to my Samsung, I have several ports and do hook it to my TV
Tablets can run anywhere from $150-$1,000. The mid-range $400-$700 should fulfill all of your needs above and more!

No daily exchange rate defined for rate type Corporate

We are entering a transaction in AR for currency XDR (Nav Path in Receivables: Transactions->Transactions; Form Name: ARXTWMAI, FOrm Version: 11.0.62).
The currency XDR is supposed to be IATA Rate related and has nothing to do with Corporate Exchange Rate (i.e. Bank rate). We have IATA Rate and Corporate conversion rate types (Nav Path in Receivables: Setup->Financials->Currencies->Rates->Conversion Type).
While entering the transaction, we get this message:
"FRM-40735: ON-INSERT trigger raised unhanled exception ORA-20000.
ORA-20000: GLMCCURB: There is no daily exchange rate defined from XDR to MUR for MAY-00 for rate type Corporate.
ORA-06512: at "APPS.RA_MRC_CUSTOMER_TRX_BIUD", line 318

We checked the Daily Rates from XDR to MUR (Nav Path in Receivables: Setup->Financials->Currencies->Rates->Daily) and it shows only IATA rates, which is correct since XDR is not for Corporate rate type.
What we don't understand is why the error message prompts for an exchange rate to be defined from XDR to MUR for rate type Corporate.
Where is it defined that the transaction should look for rate type Corporate? Should I define it to look for IATA rate type for such kind of transaction?

1.For the first message, please check to your DBA, maybe there is some patches should apply.
2. For the error msg APP-01728: An assignment does not exist for these parameters. Do you use document sequence number ? If Yes, make sure your document sequence has been assigned to proper SOB, and then please check profile option for Sequential Numbering. The Sequential Numbering profile should Partially Used or Always Used.
