FA - Distribution CCID Update

Hi,
I have a requirement to update the CCID, to include the geographies code in the Cod combination in the FA Distributions.
I have gone through the fa_distribution_pvt.update_dist_history API code, but it does not allow updating the CCID.
Can anyone help me in finding an API to satisfy my requirement. This is high priority work to be done, which is stopping the integration of a child company.

Public APIs for 11i are available via eTRM (ML Doc 150230.1).
For R12, use the "Integration Repository" responsibility in your instance to browse thru APIs

No split for particular key figure while "Time Distribution in Update Rule"

Hi experts,
I wanted to have data in the infocube at day level. Currently it has only week level data. So I used "Time Distribution in Update Rule". Due to this am able to split 0Calweek data at 0calday.
But while using "Time Distribution in Update Rule" all key figures are getting split by same way. For e.g. key fig1 has week level data as 100. so after getting split in calday, it is apperaring as (100/7) 14.285 . for every day.
But i dont want to happen this split for every key figure. For some key figures value "100" should be as it for every field in calday. for e.g. 100 should not get divided by 7 and posted as 100 only for all seven days.
How can i achieve this? Is it possible if i write formula or routine for particular key figure so that split should not take place for that particular kay figure? Or is there any other to keep exception?

Hi,
This is one of the limitation of Time Distribution that you can not have it by individual key figure. Check the below article for more information,

I think in this case you will have to write individual routine for each key figure instead of Time Distribution approach.

PO Distribution Account Update

Hi All,
We have a requirement to update the Charge and Variance Accounts for existing Purchase Orders at the Distribution level.
While processing the PO for the update, the Import Standard Purchase Orders program is rejecting the records with the following error:
Error Code: "PO_PDOI_STD_PO_LINE_NUM_EXISTS"
Error Message: "Error: Line number populated already exists on the Standard Purchase Order"
Can anyone let us know how resolve the above issue and proceed with updating the charge accounts on PO Distribution.

thnx for your info - my problem is a little bit "more generic":
I have to synchronize two apps instances - that means I have to create POs (standard, blankets and releases) on the second instance. So far so good:
1) creating a standard po works
2) releases are inserted as standard pos (because there is no interface that creates releases like standard po (releases are created directly from requisition)) - or at least I do not find out how.
3) updating -> on the source instance changes in the standard po might occur - then new release numbers are created. when I try to create these releases with the PDOI i get the error with the line (nevertheless I used another revision!)
so my basic question is: is it possible to create standard POs with revisions with the PDOI - or is there another interface to do the updates?

Troubleshoot Distribution Point Updates Failing

What are the best logs to look at for determining problems with
distribution points? We have 5 DPs. 2 of the DPs are failing to get
distributed content. Both of these systems are remote sites so it could
be due to network latency, but I need some logs to help narrow this
down.
I am watching the distmgr.log. I see the following entry showing its
retrying. The only other red messages are related to a DP that is
currently offline at the moment. Two of my DPs updated successfully.
The other two keep showing as Failed to distribute content.

Power-shell distribution list update Managedby with foreach loop

The script function is to find a user that is listed a a manager/owner on a distribution list and then replace that manager. The issue is I'm unable to replace the manager when they are a owner/manager of multiple distribution list. The script is successful
if I remove the foreach loop and just run the script on one distribution list. Please see error message below. Any help is appreciated.

Having issue combing the two scripts. The first scripts gets the DL managers. The second script will update the managed by field of the users and the previous managers of the DL. However, I don't know how to update a multiple DL when the user is listed as
a manager of more than 1 DL at a time. In script 2 I would like to update the multiple return value for script 1. Any help would be appreciated.

Wrong color distribution after update

I updated my macbook pro early 2011 to ver. 10.9.5 a couple of days ago, and since then the color distribution is partially wrong, some colours replaced by basic colours like yellow blue and purple. (I tried to take a screen shot to show what it looks like but the problem disappears on other devices...) It appears everywhere on the screen regardless of application. Essentially nothing had been changed except this update.

Content Distribution for updated Packages and Applications failing on DP's

Hi all,
Since installing SP1 for SCCM 2012 we have noted that our content distribution success rate has gone down considerably
We have a CAS, 5 Primaries and 78 DP's hanging off the various Primaries
The issue is with existing content by which it is failing on 90% of DP's when we update a package/application. Please note when we push out fresh, brand new content we get a 100% success rate
This is causing us a bit of a headache as we regularly update our OSD driver packages aswell as the security update packages
When we redistribute or update content we are presented with the below 'retying rename of' on random DP's with the content eventually erroring out
Each DP is the same, by which windows 2008 OS, Antivirus which is configured not to scan the D:\ volume and no mirroring enabled or alike configured
Is anyone else experiencing the same issue on content push?

Did you upgrade your DPs from 2007? If so, I'm experiencing the same issue.

App In House Distribution Auto Update

He have developed an internal iPad app, we distribute this app with Apple Enterprise In House Distribution in "Over The Air Modality".
From NTLM authenticated web page, the user can download .ipa and install app from safari.
We need to enable the application to automatic or semi automatic update.
It's possible to download and install new .ipa file by the same application ?
Actually we tryed to :
- Redirect to Safari with openUrl, but it's not possible to share the session cookie between app and safari, the result is redirected to login page.
- Use embedded UIWebView, but UIWebView not enable download file

Failed to Update Distribution Point

I have an interesting issue with distribution point updating a deployment package. I have ADRs that run for AV definition updates. The rules run, add to an existing deployment package and update distribution points. This works great for
about a month at a time. After that, I have to delete the package and recreate it. I can try to update DPs, use Powershell to update, remove all DPs and add them again as if it were a new distribution, but none of those work. Does anyone
else experience this or have seen it in the past? The error I'm getting is the 80070003 in Package Transfer Manager. Note, this happens every 4-5 weeks and I've experienced it now for the 3rd time. Thanks in advance.

0x80070003 = "The system cannot find the path specified."
Make sure your deployment package where you download definitions is configured properly and accessible.
Is the source folder of the package on shared storage or saved locally on SCCM server?
What release of CM12 are you on?

I have v1.2 on my nexus 4, and the update function doesn't seem to be working. What is the app.update.url I should point my phone to?

I select 'check for updates' and it will not display anything other than 'checking for updates...' below the button. I do not see any internet traffic in the status bar as it does this. Also, I have left it to 'check for updates' all night, to no avail. Any definitive answers would be great. 'https://update.boot2gecko.org/beta/update.xml' doesn't work and neither does 'https://aus3.mozilla.org/update/3/%PRODUCT%/%VERSION%/%BUILD_ID%/%BUILD_TARGET%/%LOCALE%/%CHANNEL%/%OS_VERSION%/%DISTRIBUTION%/%DISTRIBUTION_VERSION%/update.xml'
I have searched extensively to find where the update channels are located and those, and variants like them, proffer no changes in my situation.
I am starting to wonder if it is the program responsible for checking for updates, or if it is the build for nexus-4 that is having the issue.
Another question that would help in my search to resolve this issue is, does anyone know what program is responsible for checking for these updates?

I have since changed my build to master, but this time without using mozilla-central as my gecko path. I have had no issues so far with the stability of the master branch, as I did in the past with mozilla-central as the gecko path.
After having done this, and restoring my /data/local and /data/b2g directories, I am now recieving updates. At least, it updated my marketplace after booting for the first time. Also, I am no longer getting the check now stuck at 'checking for updates...'.
So, I am going to call this solved with changing to master, without using my .userconfig. Further, using Michelle's input, I will periodically git pull, repo update, and reconfigure, build, and flash the master branch.

10.4.11 update ruined my network

I've just install the 10.4.11 update and some problems appears.
Since, my wifi connection disconnect regulary.
Has anyone an answer ?

I also did the update to 10.4.11 on my Intel Mac Mini. Networking over the Airport stops working after a short period of inactivity. The GUI still thinks it is connected, but applications (Safari, ping) are not able to reach the network.
Furthermore all incomming connections stopped working and ping and ssh give timeouts while the firewall is not active and ipfw allows all connections from anywhere.
The only error I can find in the log files is in install.log:

Try to change https://aus2.mozilla.org to https://aus3.mozilla.org in the pref app.update.url on the about:config page if that pref shows aus2 in the value.

Distribution Point Offline - how long before SCCM client connects to alternative DP?

Hi, I'm doing some testing on my SCCM 2012 setup and have been attempting to test distribution point resiliency and fall-back.
I have a single primary site with two distribution points. One is in the main datacentre and is in the same boundary group as the clients and tagged as fast connection. The 2nd DP is in the DR datacentre, in a separate boundary group (no client subnets are
in this group) and the distribution point has the allow failback checked. Both DP's have the same content.
After shutting down/taking offline the main distribution point, I've then kicked of an install of a package on a W7 client. It attempts to download and stays in that state for as long as I leave it. Looking in the logs I can see both DP's returned to
the client (the DR tagged as REMOTE), it then attempts to connect to the main DP and just keeps retrying over and over.
I thought if it couldn't connect to the main DP it would then failback to the DR DP, but it doesn't appear to do this. Is there a timeout on this before it would fail back?
I'm also currently trying adding the DR DP to the main boundary group and tagging the connection as slow so the main DP would still be used first. Again both DP's are returned to the client when installing software and the client attempts to connect
to the main DP over and over without using the DR DP which is online.
Is this normal behaviour or do I have a configuration issue?

Hi, just to update on this thread, I raised a support call with Microsoft and the end result is that SCCM2012 clients wont fall back to an alternative DP where a DP is offline. The fall back is only for when content isn't on a DP. The 8hr timeout doesn't
appear to be in affect anymore.
What I have managed to get to work and test out is removing our production DP (also primary site server) from the production content boundary group, then clients will fall back to the DR DP as this is the only other DP available with content.
I've managed to perform the update to remove the site server from the boundary group while the primary site server is offline, by using a PowerShell script to connect to the SCCM provider on the DR site server (DP/MP/SUP) to perform the update as our site
database is off-box. This works well and the changes replicate to the SQL replica in DR that the DR MP uses and when clients failover to the DR MP they then begin using the DR DP and packages can be installed etc.
How funny, I just fixed this at a Client this week.
This is default client behavior as MS CSS probably told you, the client thinks the Distribution Point is coming back online soon so it waits, for good reasons. For some reason I keep thinking "7 days" not 8 hours, but maybe wrong.
I have a work around for this, it just requires a change to the Distribution Points DNS record. Head to the DNS server, find the record for the Distribution Point that is down, change the IP address to a different member server IP address, this will cause
the client, when it flushes it's DNS cache, to get an updated DNS record for the Distribution Point and it will try to connect to the Distribution Point using the changed IP address, which then induces what the client thinks is a severe error which makes it
go to the next Distribution Point in the list it got from the Management Point. Once you've recovered the Distribution Point and it is back online, change it's IP address back in DNS or just let the Distribution Point update its own DNS record when it boots
up (if configured to do so) and viola, you are back in business.
Test, test and test again before ever putting something from "the web" into your production environment. I just implemented this at a client to solve their issues with their DR procedure.

Just by enabling the airport express card. Now I wonder what triggers the bug. Because I rebooted several times after the update. One thing I did see was the signal strength going less strong in the past days. Since today I cannot use it at all.
