Face Detection: "Remove Face Region" on accident

I accidentally clicked the "Forget face region" on a large number of my photos (that i actually do want to keep). Can I get LR to scan my catalog again so I can tag the photos?

It only works for the iPod Touch 5th Generation, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPad With Retina Display (3rd gen iPad), and the iPad mini.

  • What Metadata Standard is used for Face Regions?

Nice to see that LR6 now has support for Face Recognition and Face Regions. However, nowhere in the online help is it stated explicitly what metadata standards are used for the image regions.
I would hope that as Adobe is a member of the Metadata Working Group, then LR6 is using the metadata standard specified by the MWG for image regions.

    It's the MWG.
Within Lightroom itself, the face regions are recorded inside the catalogue and this data is associated with keywords.
When you export a photo, unchecking the option Remove Person Info, the names are also written to the IPTC Extension Person Shown and the MWG Regions too.
I suggest you export a photo as above and examine its metadata in the Advanced tab of Bridge's FIle Info dialog box, or in some other metadata tool.

  • Does Photoshop Elements 12 Support the MWG Face Region Metadata Standard?

I'm looking at the trial version of PhotoShop Elements 12. I see that it is possible to use the Organizer to automatically recognize faces and to manually define Face Regions in images.
These then appear as People Tags in the Organizer.
However, if I save the Metadata to the file, People Tags just seem to be added as IPTC/Core Keywords. I was hoping that PE12 would at least support the Metadata Working Group's Face Region standard, and that People Tags would be saved as XMP using the MWG-RS schema.
Would someone more familiar with PE12 please confirm whether PE12 does or does not support the MWG standard?
If it doesn't support it, then that's a disappointment, particularly considering the standard has been around since November 2010, and that Adobe is a founding member of the Metadata Working Group.

The point about whether to use an automatic process or not is a separate issue. I can understand that some people would not want to use it. However, even doing it manually in PE12 does not use the MWG standard.
Thanks for the pointer to the thread, which I note was started 2 years ago, with the last comment a year ago.
From that, I draw the conclusion that the PE developers see this as a very low priority. All the more reason for me to look at competitor products that do support this standard (e.g. Picasa and Photo Supreme).
    Thanks again.

  • How to remove Editable region from nested template?

I'm trying to remove an editable region from a nested
template while retaining it in the parent template. DW doesn't want
    to let me do this.
    Example:
    - I've created an overall template call ALLPAGES.DWT
    - In it, there's an editable region called "related links".
    - The "related links" will stay the same for all my main
pages (welcome, news, info, etc), so I'd like to create a nested
template called MAINPAGES.DWT where the field is locked.
    So here's what I did; I started a new page from ALLPAGES.DWT
and then I created a template MAINPAGES.DWT from it. Now I want to
remove the editable region "related links". According to the DW
manual, I should be able to highlight the region and go to
Modify > Templates > Remove Template Markup, but that
    option is greyed out!
Apparenlty the only way of removing the editable region is to
create a smaller editable region within it. But that's unnecessary
and sloppy. How can I remove the region entirely?

    I really disagree with this.

I spent quite a bit of time using them, tweaking them,
    understanding them,
and watching the problems that others have had here on the
    forum. My
compelling conclusion is that there is nothing you can do
    with nested
templates that you cannot do more simply and with far less
    trouble by using
other methods, some involving other kinds of template
    regions, and some
involving simple use of Library items, or better, server-side
    includes.

This is not only unkind, it's completely erroneous. Far and
    away, I am the
single most enthusiastic proponent for the use of templates
    on these boards.
Perhaps a read of my book would help you rid yourself of your
    attitude, too.

  • I removed flash player by accident on toshiba excite at305 i upgraded to jellybean could not play mo

i removed flash player by accident on toshiba excite at305 i upgraded to jellybean i was supposed to upgrade flash not remove cant watch movies please help me

Thank you for providing so much detailed information; I wish more users seeking help would do that!
Unfortunately I do not have a clear solution for the specific problem you are seeing.  The video link you provided works fine for me with Flash Player 11.2 on Firefox 12 on both Windows XP-SP3 and Windows 7.
What I would try if the same thing happened to me:
try a clean install using the instructions in http://forums.adobe.com/thread/928315
to reinstall use the offline installers from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html#ins tall_in_a_firewall_proxy_server_environment
if the above does not improve the situation, I would try if a graphics driver update changes anything; see http://forums.adobe.com/thread/945765 (but I'm sure you know how to update drivers, with your background)
if all fails, I would try a System Restore to a date before the Flash Player update; all FP files are in the C:\Windows\... folders, so it should revert completely to the previous working version
Or you could try a manual install of an older version by
    using the uninstaller from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html
then download and install the appropriate archived Flash Player from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html
P.S. regarding the archived installers, you may need to disconnect from the Internet during the installation.  Some of the newer installers go and check for the availability of newer versions, and refuse to continue if they find any.
P.P.S. You can permanently turn off auto-update by using a mms.cfg file; see http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplayer/articles/flash_player_admin_guide.html
Most information in this admin guide refers to the new silent background update, but it also works on the earlier FP updater.

  • Face region marking not showing up

I had to reinstall Adobe Photoshop 11. When I reopened the catalog, all of the face markings were gone. The people tags are still on the picture but the names don't display on hover. Any advice?

How does one go about removing an editable region in DW CS3?

  • Remove editable region *and* propagate?

    Hi all,
I have an editable region in a template which I would like to
make uneditable. I can remove it in the template, but the change
does not seem to propagate to the child pages. In other words, the
region is still editable on the child pages after I apply the
changed template. Is there a way to do this or am I outta luck
    here?
    Thanks!

Removing the editable region markup should certainly render
    that region
uneditable in the child pages. Something is preventing that
    from happening.
Can you show me the child page after removing the markup and
    tell me which
    region you are deleting?

  • How do I remove the region status from a container? Can I remove it in one breakpoint but leave it active in others?

I just started experimenting with the region feature, connecting text boxes in my default breakpoint. I don't see a way to remove the connection at other breakpoints. In fact I don't see a way to remove it at all, aside from Undo or restoring to an earlier save.
    What am I missing?
    Thanks,
    Jim

    Start with this...
    abc
    def
    this should not be bulleted
    Do this...
go to the end of the 'def' line
type a few returns to turn the bullets off
    type some text
    Get this...
    abc
    def
    ghi
    this should not be bulleted
    Finish by doing this...
put your cursor at the beginning of the last line (inbetween the bullet and "this should...")
    delete backwards
    Voila!
    abc
    def
    this should not be bulleted

  • Logic removing  Alias regions

I have a track with an original region on it. A region from another track is also heard on the track as an alias. I don't know how the alias got there and I want it removed, If I highlight the alias portion and right click and select "cut", both regions on the track are deleted and the track is clear of all data. I want the non-alias region to remain. The region is not orphaned because the region still exists on its own track. It should remain there where i recored it... the alias menu for MIDI does not have a "remove" or "delete" alias region. this is confusing . I did not even want the alias in the first place.

  • Trojan detected/removed ... now what?

    Hi,
I really do not understand what happened, but then I'm not the only user of this computer.
Just "for fun" I've tried iService Trojan removal tool, and I was astonished when the trojan was detected and removed.
    What are now next steps?
Is it present in the time machine backup?
Do I have to change all my mail, bank, what ever, passwords?
Do I have to format my disk and start from scratch?
Could some other programs have been installed without me knowing this?
Any kind of help will be appreciated.
Btw. I though Snow Leopard had some kind of protection against those trojans.
    Thanks in advance,
    Sharlo

    I really don't get it.
If I understand well there are only two ways you can get them, installing codecs or when an iWork/PS4 illegal install is performed (password given). I haven't done neither of this ... the only plugin I've taken is Perian to watch avi files on QuickTime. No iWork has ever been installed (I have MS Office but use OpenOffice 95% of the time) and I have PS3.
To be honest I have removed the Trojan without looking what version it was (I was so astonished I've just automatically press remove button) and now I cannot find info what was removed (I've tried with Console).
When I looked for more info about the removal soft I've got this king of info.
"Once the trojan is installed, it will attempt to connect to a remote server and provide the server with the infected computer's network location. It then listens for further instructions from the remote server, which may include instructions to download additional components. iWorkServices Trojan removal tool will remove this malware."
    Thanks again for your help,
    Sharlo

  • Removed bluetooth device by accident

    Hello fellow Mac Lovers!
I was trying to pair my JBL Speaker/Microphone and when I had the Bluetooth Preferences open I right clicked on the wrong JBL device and selected "Remove" and it removed it.  Now, I want to add it back but I cannot find how to do that.  Can you help me add it back?  I've tried removing the plist files but that didn't help.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Brian

Hi dominic23 and Mac smarties, This was NOT helpful at all.  Please try what I am asking about before you reply.
If a user (you) opens System Preferences and selects BlueTooth you will be shown a list of the available devices that you could attempt to pair to.
If you RIGHT CLICK on a device the menu items has "Remove" as an option.  If you select "Remove" the device disappears and you will never see that device in the detected Devices window again.
    THIS IS MY PROBLEM.
How do I get it to show in my screen again???
What I imagine is that there is a list being maintained that holds all the devices that you never want to see again.  This list is what I am looking for.  If I had the source I would simply traverse the code and go clean the file.
What I imagine is that this file that tracks the devices I never want to see again in a profile Var or a file located in my User preferences area.  I have not been able to find this yet but, I am certain that it is in some .ignore or blacklist.cfg that the device code checks before showing the entire list.
Once more please, I would appreciate any of the few Mac iOS geniuses to read this and say "Oh simple man, it is here *****.  Credit please :-)"
    Thank you,
    Brian

  • I can't remove Editable Region

I have multiple templates and I cannot remove and editable region...it won't allow me to do so through Modify>Templates>Remove Markup...it will not make that option available to me...Help
    Learning

You need to make the change in the main template, not in a child page.

  • Remove template region

I have established a small hierarchy of templates for a
DreamWeaver CS3 site. At the first level, one template region (1)
contains a table with 9 cells each containing a rollover image.
New template pages (x 6) are generated from this template
page. The images in (1) above are changed on each of these, so that
they remain uneditable in all resulting pages. But when I press the
Template region tab, Modify > Templates > (Remove template
    markup) is greyed out.
This is what the help site says I should do. What have I done
wrong, and is there another way to solve the problem?

    Do not use nested templates.
Your single template will have editable regions placed so
    that on pages that
require section-specific navigation you can add a navigation
    element
    accordingly.
    For example -
    1. Make a Library item that contains JUST your navigation for
    a specific
    section, or
    2. Make a server-side include that contains the same
On a child page, you have an editable region available for
    the
section-specific navigation because of the way you have built
    the template.
So, you can place either item #1 or item #2 as needed (use
    DW's F1 help to
read about both - I prefer the latter).
