Apparently the front camera is not working ...
tested before the update everything, including the front camera and was working perfectly ...
Now after the upgrade just can not use ... I have no option to select it and still can not activate the facial recognition it gives error when configuring ...

Do you have an Arabic version of Firefox installed which isn't displaying the vowelization correctly, or are you trying to read it using an English language version?

Mac OS X Lion has dropped support for Rosetta, the feature that allowed you to run PowerPC apps on previous OS X systems. Check if you can find a newer version of the app you are trying to run that supports Intel processors.
What application are you trying to run? Maybe I can help you find a version that runs on Lion.

If you make an appointment at the Genius Bar about a problem, they will check and evaluate the device, and if it warrants a replacement under warranty, they make the final determination. Face Recognition Problem in PSE 12

I am having a problem with face recognition with PSE 12/Windows 8.1. It is a new install, at first all went well. I could enter names and they were immediately accepted. As faces repeated recognition was working and I could click the green arrow and it would accept or even click the red x and make another selection as it should be. Then I started having problems when it would come up with the correct face I would click the green arrow and instead of accepting the box would go to "Who is This" and it would take numerous attempts to get the program to accept the name. Next I started having problems just entering names, again instead of accepting it would loop me through the "Who is This" numerous times. Any suggestions?

We sincerely apologize for the problem that you have been facing while using a trackpad with Photoshop Elements 11 & 12 on Mac OSX 10.10 (Yosemite).
We have been actively working with Apple to resolve this problem as quickly as possible. We're hopeful this will get completely resolved in an upcoming update of Yosemite(MAC 10.10).
In the meanwhile, you have two options to work around this problem:
1. Option1: Use a mouse instead of the trackpad
2. Option2: Install a plug-in which should workaround the problem
Plug-in installation instructions:
1. Close Photoshop Elements
2. Download this zip file to a location you can easily find (e.g. your desktop)
3. Unzip the file, WhiteWindowWorkaround.plugin, and move it to the Plug-In folder:
• For Elements 12 – //Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 12/Support Files/Plug-Ins/
• For Elements 11 - //Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 11/Support Files/Plug-Ins/
You can verify the plug-in is installed by launching the Photoshop Elements Editor and choosing Help > System Info... Scroll to the bottom of the text in the dialog and look for the plug-in name "WhiteWindowWorkaround.plugin".
Note: This plugin is a temporary workaround and should be used until this issue is addressed in Mac OSX 10.10 (Yosemite). Please remove this plugin once the issue is officially resolved by Apple.
If you are using a stylus in conjunction with a trackpad, you might see issues with your trackpad. Workaround in this particular case is to use mouse instead of the trackpad.

IPhoto 9.5.1 face recognition slow with large number of photos ( 20,000)

I have a new fast Imac with new Iphoto 9.5.1. I have >20,000 photos. When I use face recognition with people who have >50 photos associated with them, the rolling ball continues for 20-40 seconds. I didn't have this with the same number of photos with my old Imac2009 with Iphoto 9.4.3, 2011.

That is probably still the initial setup for face recognition for you new iPhoto version. Once the "Faces" database has been rebuild, the performance should get better. Give it a day or two. If the problem persists, back up your iPhoto library and rebuild it.
Hold down the key combination alt/option- command ⌥⌘ firmly and double click the iPhoto library to launch the First Aid Tools. Keep holding down the keys, until you are seeing the First Aid Panel. Select the entry "Rebuild Database" from the panel and click "Rebuild".

If you've already reset the password and changed your payment information, then the next best thing to do is call Apple directly and ask for iTunes Billing Support. Your account is likely disabled on their computers as part of their fraud prevention protocol. You may have to verify yourself as the account holder to get the account enabled again.

MTP and recognition problems with Zen Mi

Ok here I go, I have a 5 gig Zen micro.and here are my issues. I updated my players firmware a few months ago because it was running oddly. This worked beautifully and fixed the running oddly part. This was great until I got a new computer. I went to plug my player in and realized I did not have the proper software/drivers so i go to creative's site and download the ones I need. I finish all instillation stuff. I have media player . And when i plug the player in suddenly i get infinite recognition messages for an MTP device from windows. It keeps popping up until i disconnect the player at which time it says device installed but may not perform correctly. Ok so I realize something is wrong and I go forum trolling. I find people that say you need to downgrade media player from try that is still no go. I try to install different drivers. I try to install different software none of these fix the issue. On other computers i can get it to recongnize the player as a MTP device and load up. But as one of the fixes I went to the recovery mode and did a firmware reload. This went fine and the player still comes up and I can get it recognized but when I try to use the firmware installer (this is on other computers mine still does not fully recognize my Zen Mirco) It says device not found yet i can see it in my computer and it shows up as connected media device. I would first like to get the firmware reinstalled on my player. I can still goto the recovery mode screen. Then I would like help trouble shooting my MTP recognition problem.

Ok well my I can load my player up with music with the old firmware. But for some reason I cannot use WMP because as soon as I update my current one I get the same error as before. So this is still an issue as I would like to be able to use WMP and I would also like to be able to use the new firmware but I think that will mess things up again also.

You will need webcam on computer and a software pkg: Not too secure, all I have read so far, can be fooled.

Recognition problems with Zen Mi

Hey I have a Zen Micro (firmware: 2..02) and am having problems with the PC recognising the player. OK it recognisies it and I get the zen micro icon down beside the volume icon on the taskbar. The Zen Micro says "Docked". When I click on it I get two options: do nothing or use WMP to sync music. I used to click cancel and then open Zen Micro Media Explorer (MTP) and it worked fine. However now the software won't recognise the player. The words are faded and I can't click the links like I used to do. This is a recent problem and can think of nothing I did to create it. Could someone please help me?

Have you tried reinstalling the software? This may solve the problem. Make sure that you don't have WMP installed. It is known to cause major problems with the Zen's connection.

Speech recognition problem with null pointer exception

im trying to run the simple hello program that came with IBM speech for java
i've put the speech.jar file in the right folder and it compiles all fine but when i run it i get this error:

yes, the problem seems to be with allocating the engine, but I don't know exactly why recognizer.allocate() returns null...I have already installed IBM ViaVoice and Speech for Java, and have set the supposedly correct paths...

The currentProjects method returns a database query as a list of beans. The content of the beans is displayed. My problem is, when I click on e.g. 'Next' or 'All Details' nothing happens and I get javascript errors like this:

The problem you're encountering is that the table view is being re-initialized whenever the underlying table model changes. Thus, the navigation appears to do nothing. The demo code doesn't "appear" to do anything special because the af:table value property is bound to a managed bean, periodicTable, that has session scope. Thus the table is built only once and the value binding is simply returning the same java object every time.
For you to accomplish the same thing, your code will need to return the SAME OBJECT (since I can't see the source code I don't really know if it's using object identity or equals()) each time unless your underlying data has actually changed.
I'm struggling with the same thing. I'm working with a small table and it's just easier to manage concurrency issues by pulling the data out of the database every time instead of building the logic to detect a change, but I'm having to build that due to this behavior.

Aperture 3 Faces recognition problem

Have a really funky problem that is consuming hours to days of time in Faces. Need serious help, or for Apple to recognize this as a bug.
When I select Faces, Confirm Faces for a person, it shows loads of faces completely not that persons face. So when looking for faces of Kelly what Faces did do, was show the confirms of numerous faces as Duncan, or Jeff etc - the correct names for those faces. So I thought 'Great! Faces will assign all these faces to the correct names, making this a very quick its either Kelly, OR someone else it recognizes, OR reject as not Kelly or anyone else!'
WRONG. :-( When I hit confirm, the faces that should have been assigned to different people all ended up under Kelly ! So is this a bug on functionality that SHOULD work the way I expect by correctly assigning the faces, or is there something else i should be doing to assign the faces correctly ?
Have library of 20,000+ photos, so this is taking forever after upgrading form iphoto 11 (wish I hadnt now, unless there is a simple fix).
Even better - after selecting a number of Faces correctly, can Faces re-run across imported photos to correctly assign the faces ?

Fortunately, it's easy enough to export photos from Aperture to a folder and upload manually, but a half-baked implementation shouldn't even be shown as a option.
