can i install lenovo veriface on my laptop g580......the download link for the software in the lenovo center dosenot work correctly,,,,,,http://support.lenovo.com/en_IN/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS012636.....it downloads the file but the file is corrupted.....

i recently bought a Lenovo 3000 N200. i'd like to ask if anyone of you have tried using a face recognition software with it? i have downloaded banana face, and it works fine but i'd be more glad if i can use any of face recognition software from the
manufacturer.

Satellite C660 - Cannot start Face Recognition software

When I try and run the face recognition software I get a window saying to contact my administrator - I have administration status on the the Satellite C660 laptop.
Forum searches I have found have not helped in that any time I try and follow advice I still get the same message. The laptop is new.

Hi Sorry but I seem to have mixed up my username and password and had to create a new one LY2! This has taken longer to reply than I had hoped.
I have not tried either of the two suggestions so far but wonder, from your comments, if the problem is that I have used Windows Easy Transfer to copy information and profiles from my old laptop. I therefore am not using factory default settings, nor am I sure how to do so without losing the transferred files. My old laptop, and desktop from which I also copied files, were Windows XP. Because of the File Transfer I do log in using windows log on a password

I am about to change my system to XP and I would like to use this utility.

Sorry but I do not use such software. To be honest I do not like it. I protect my notebook with password and it is enough for me. Lets see if someone else can recommend some good working software.

How to update the new Face recognition software

The first alert from Tempro when I switched on new computer was to update to a newer version of Face recognition.
I downloaded and unzipped file ok but it won't install until I have uninstalled previous version but I cannot see how to do this.
Any help appreciated

First of all the Tempro alert is only a notification that a new update is available but this doesnt mean that you HAVE TO update it.
If you have no problems with your notebook and software then I would not update anything.
I follow always this recommendation; never change a running system ;)
However, I presume you need to remove the old version before the new could be installed.
You could remove the tool from the Software area which can be found in control panel.
But as I said; its not necessary if everything is ok.

There are various face recognizing algorithms available. If your purpose is simple face recognition, then the simplest method would be to segment the image using a line, and to perform the recognition for every tilt of the image.Tthus when the line traces 180 degrees, all possible positions would have been verified.
If you like a more holistic approach you can have a look at the trace transform model and the active appearance model, which are used in the industry.

Face Recognition Error - you don't have permission to perform this task

Hi..
I bought my TOSHIBA laptop from Spain, so it would be in Spanish for sure ..
When i started the lap for the first time I tested the face recognition and other Toshiba software and they all worked .. but after two days i changed the display language to English and now i can't enter face recognition.
It tells me "You Do not have permission to perform this task. Please contact your administrator for help" ..
so what should i do ???

This is all true - until it breaks. After you've tagged your special friends & family for a while thinking "man PSE8 is great" you then get slammed with the "Oh - it has stopped finding that person now...". Just just don't get disheartened after a while.. But until then bathe in the glory of Face Recognition!!

Restore face recognition error

I have Elements 12. I don't have rarely used the face recognition feature. When I attempt to open my organizer, I can see my last worked photos and a screen pops up saying it is restoring the 'people recognition data'. It stops at 3% loaded and a Microsoft error window appears telling me the program failed, it searches for a repair it can't find, then closes my program. I can open the editor using a photo on my desktop but I need to search for photos in on my C drive and open them in edit one at a time. I am very frustrated. I recently purchased a Canon 70D and shoot RAW and JPEG files. Is there a fix for this?

Cannot use face regonition software

Hello!
I hope someone could help me...my laptop is new and I bought him and I want use the face recognition, but the error message says : I have no rights...I should contact my administrator??????
I am the admin!!! I even started the program with admin rights...it goes further but same error message them..

One question: what notebook model you have?
I think there is an problem with registry.
Usually the new installation of face recognition software should resolve this issue.

Face recognition and Optimus technology for T410 questions-plz support

Hi guys, I bought a T410 with NVS 310 graphic card and integrated webcam. Though the 9 cell battery works really well, I still love to save more power by using the integrated Intel graphic card in light load. This is supposed to be done by using NVIDIA Optimus but I cant' find it anywhere or how to activate it. Some said it depends on the drivers and I haven't try that yet. Plz help for longer time.
The next question is the face recognition software, as my friend's Asus laptop, it has Smartlogon using face. I really love to do it on my T but I searched so many places and still can't find this. I knew there used to be VeriFace which seems to be stopped developing for Thinkpad. So anyone has that software, plz give me the link.
And I once found an issue with a device called Lexmark X422, window 7 reports that it can't start (code 10), I try the new driver and still no use. I disable (uninstall) it then restore the whole system and now I can't find it in device manager to try to fix it again. My question is what is this device and how to fix those problems?

Lexmark X422 was probably your webcam, there is no need to do anything about it if the camera is working fine now.
Not sure about face recognition, as far as I know there is no such feature for ThinkPads.
