Face time doesn't work on iPhone. Did work but now not. Any ideas how to fix?

My phone is working fine.  My wife's did last week but not now.  I've turned phone off and rebooted.  Also, when I try to "sign in using apple id " it tells me it could not sign in. Check network connection and try again.  However the phone is connecting to my wifi network.  Suggestions?

    Hello matteo.coletti,
It sounds like you are having some trouble signing into FaceTime on your Mac. I would try the troubleshooting steps in this article named:
    FaceTime for Mac: Troubleshooting FaceTime
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4185
    Activating FaceTime for Mac
Use your Apple ID to register and use FaceTime. FaceTime registration validates your Apple ID and email address for use with FaceTime.
If you are unable to activate FaceTime, try the following:
Sign in to FaceTime for Mac using a valid Apple ID. After you validate the email address for use with FaceTime, other FaceTime users can connect to you using that email address. If you encounter issues registering or using an Apple ID account:
Ensure that you have an active Internet connection.
Verify that you are using a valid Apple ID at appleid.apple.com. You can also create an Apple ID or reset your password from this website.
Check that your email address is verified in FaceTime > Preferences. If FaceTime > Preferences shows your email status as "verifying," follow the instructions in the verification email that was sent to complete the process.
Toggle FaceTime off and on in FaceTime > Preferences.
If still unable to Sign In follow the instructions in FaceTime, Game Center, Messages on OS X: Troubleshooting Sign in
    Troubleshooting FaceTime for Mac
You can make FaceTime calls using the FaceTime app. You can call FaceTime users whose contact information is in Contacts. You can add contacts and edit contact information in either FaceTime or Contacts. To place a video call, you may use a phone number or email address.
If you encounter issues making or receiving FaceTime calls, try the following:
Verify that FaceTime is enabled in FaceTime > Preferences. If the issue persists, or if you see the message "Waiting for Activation", try toggling FaceTime off and then on.
Verify that the Date, Time, and Time Zone are set correctly:
From the Apple () menu, choose System Preferences > Date & Time > Date & Time.
    Enable "Set Automatically".
Click the Time Zone tab and confirm the closest city is correct.
Verify that both parties are connected to an active broadband Internet connection.
See Mac OS X: Troubleshooting a cable modem, DSL, or LAN Internet connection.
Consult Using FaceTime behind a firewall for necessary ports to open in firewalls, security software and routers.
If you encounter issues using a Wi-Fi network, use standard Wi-Fi network troubleshooting to resolve interference and other issues.
Verify the phone number or email address being used is the correct one activated for FaceTime. You can verify that you are using a valid Apple ID at appleid.apple.com. You can also create an Apple ID or reset your password from this website.
Otherwise, could you elaborate a bit on any error messages or prompts you are getting?
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Regards,
    Sterling

  • Face time doesn't exist on my iPhone

I can't find FaceTime on my new iPhone 4S. Could anyone help me?

Yes it does exist. You are probably looking for an app icon. You won't find one, as FaceTime is embedded into the Contacts app. Select a contact, then all the way at the bottom there is a FaceTime button. Detailed instructions here.

  • Face time doesn't send

I creat a message and select a contact that has the same I Pad2 as do I. When I select send nothing happens except a red dote with a explanation point pops up?

    You're welcome.

  • Why i can't speak using Face Time

why i can't speak using Face Time
1 time ago (no so long time ago) i can but from few days ago no.
My Iphone tells Face Time doesn't work

Face time tells to me that I can't contact the person I'm calling. It' s sounds strange because few days ago I was able to  call the same person. It could be some particular ID settings?

  • How do you get your iPhone to stop connecting to face time while on a voice call? And it also does this when I'm on the phone with someone who doesn't have an iPhone. I look down at my phone while on a call and it says connecting to face time

  • My iPad doesn't ring when someone calls on face time. Any idea why?

I have two iPads... both are brand new. When I use face time to call from iPad "1" to iPad "2" everything works fine. When I call from iPad "2" to iPad "1" iPad "1" doesn't ring. The screen lights up with the 'accept call' or reject call buttons, and if I hit accept, it works fine. But it doesn't ring.
Both iPads have the exact same settings. I have turned face time off, powered down, restarted and turned face time back on... nothing. And no offense to Apple's website, but I can't find anything that helps.
Any ideas out there? Or will I end up having to restore the original settings and re-install all of the apps and data?
    Thanks...

  • I have just received two white I Phones 4 Model MC611LL and they bring along the Face Time feature. I own an older I Phone 4 model MC610 LL and it doesn´t have the Face Time feature. How should I get it?.

Where did you get the old one? If it came from the Middle East, FaceTime was removed from those due to government regulations. It can NOT be added back to them.

  • I have face time installed on my iMac but when I go to the app store it doesn't show installed and has a.99c price. All other apps show installed. Is this an upgrade?

I have face time installed on my iMac but when I go to the app store it doesn't show installed and has a.99c price. All other apps show installed. Is this an upgrade?

The first thing to do:  Make a backup of your iPhoto Library. Don't update iPhoto without having a backup of your iPhoto library.
When I tried I received the following message This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled.
This error message means, that you did not yet associate your copy of iPhoto (preinstalled on your Mac) with your AppleID by clicking the "accept" button at AppStore "Purchased" page.
First try to "Accept" iPhoto on the Purchased tab and try, if you then can update iphoto from the Updates tab.
Now check the "Purchased" tab. Is iPhoto among your Purchases to "Accept" or "Install"? Then accept and/or install.
If it is not possible, delete iPhoto from the Applications folder .
    (don't empty the Trash).
If it is not among your Purchases, open the AppStore main tab, search for iPhoto using the Search field, and buy it from the AppStore. If you already owned any version of iPhoto '11, this purchase should be free, from earlier versions it may be a paid upgrade.
If all fails there is no help but contacting the App Store Support to sort out the AppleID. Use this link: http://www.apple.com/support/mac/app-store/contact/
I can delete the existing software and re-install but I don't want to lose all my photos.
Your photos are in your iPhoto Library in your Pictures folder and not in the iPhoto application. Just back up the iPhoto Library as a precaution, but reinstalling iPhoto will not delete your iPhoto Library.
