Face time issues

i just downloaded face time from apple store so now didnot working

Please open the Sound preference pane and select the Output tab. Select Internal Speakers from the list of output devices, if not already selected. Test by adjusting the volume slider; you should hear an alert sound.
Next, go to the Input tab and select Internal Microphone as the source, if applicable. If your model (mini or Mac Pro) doesn't have an internal microphone, select an external one that you connected. Test by speaking into the mic; you should see a response on the Input level meter.
If you made any changes to the sound settings, try FaceTime again. Otherwise, sign out of FaceTime on all your Apple devices, including iOS devices if applicable. Log out or restart the computer. Sign back in to FaceTime and test.

Can You Help With Face Time Issue?

I am in Milwaukee for the summer and my wife is in Los Angeles. We both have iPhone 4s. She uses a wifi connection that is 20 MB down and 2 MB up. I am on a much slower wifi connection that's 756 K down and 256 K up. We can face time each other but when we try to use the second rear facing camera (she showing me something in Los Angeles or me showing her something in Milwaukee), I can easily see what she shows me, but my stream to her freezes as soon as I switch cameras. Is this because of my poor upstream connection? Or is there some setting that we can change - or what??? Help appreciated.
BTW, reception and bar issues no problem at all. Better connections sustained in all conditions than previous phones.

I agree. You are trying to push megapixel video images through a 256K upload speed. The front camera is lower resolution so it's not overloading the upload speed like the rear camera.

IOS 5.1 iChat & Face Time issue on iPad 2

After upgrading to iOS 5.1 the system ask me to sign in for sing Face Time and iChat. I entered several times my apple ID and password but I can't log in and the application takes me back to the log in page with no specific message.
I've check my Apple ID and password and they are correct (I even changed my password). Does anyone know how to solve it?

UPDATE:
I had 27 Gigs free on the iPad, so it wasn't a memory issue, it was some Apple issue.
I took my iPad to work and tried connecting there through the wi-fi at the office, and it connected and uprgaded fine.
So if you are reading this because your IOS can't download, try;
1) use a Windows/PC machine, as it seems more reliable then macs for this download/upgrade
or
2) try different w-fi locations to have the device upgrade itself through its own Settings > General > Software Update

My daughter had to get a new iPad mini because her battery went out. Now when she tries to face time with the new mini it says "unable to verify email because already in use". Any suggestions on how to correct without having to create. New email address? I'm a novice Apple user. I have a iPhone 4s and my daughter has an iPod 4. She can send a FaceTime session with me and we connect, but when I try to initiate from my phone it says her device is busy. Any suggestions?

Issues with iPhone 4 Face time

Issue faced as follows :
Part A :
1. I made a call to a friend
2. Clicked on Face time and call was successful.
3. Hung up and it stored a record in an iphone as Name of the person i called , FaceTime,Camera icon
Part B :
1. Now i re-dial the above stored number in "recent" and my iPhone 4 starts Beeping...Beeping fast
Part C:
1. I go back to my contacts again and dial the same number
2. call establishes
3. Face time is requested
4. It starts the face time fine

FIXED!!! I spent two days looking for a solution and I finally found it!
First of all let me say that there seems to be multiple Face Time issues.
The issue I resolved is the one that causes FT to disappear after restoring from backup. In this case, the on/off toggle for FT will not even show under Settings>Phone. BONUS: if you are also having a problem with your data service, MMS or cannot use visual voicemail this will also repair that!!

Microphone sounds low when using face time

For some reason people complain when i use my microphone on my display when using Face Time
that the voice is very low any suggestions.
When i record on quick time it is fine you think its a face time issue ?

No Face Time on/off in Prefs

So this morning I'm trying to test Face Time with a friend who just got his phone activated. When I tried to 'call' him on FT, his phone just sat silent. I tried to 'call' myself from his phone, but when I did I noticed there was no FT option. I went to his Prefs ---> Phone but there was no option for FT at all. I looked on mine and had the FT option.
Any ideas why he has no FT option in Prefs?

I worked with my provider to open the firewall ports in the article referred to me by tech support. I still can't connect face time or iMessage even though everything else connects. Now what?

I read some of the other posts on iAd/face time issues, and one person recommended that you replace your DNS address with googles 8.8.8.8
I ran this by Apple senior tech Kirk, who said this woukd work, however you. May have issues with certain sites/apps. He said that if you did that, activated face time and/or iMessage then returned to settings/wifi/DNS and erased it, yor IP would replace it with the correct one.
I did just that, as well as returning my firewalls to their default settings...
It works get!!

Built-in iSight cameras
These steps are for iSight cameras that are built into a computer, such as the iMac G5 (iSight) or later, the MacBook, or MacBook Pro.
1. See if the issue is application-specific.
Try another application (iSight works with applications like iChat, PhotoBooth, and iMovie HD 6) to see if the iSight camera exhibits the same behavior in all applications. If it only happens in one application, try reinstalling that application.
2. See if the issue is user-specific.
Test your iSight camera in another user account. If the issue only occurs in one user, the issue would be isolated to user settings.
3. Find out if the computer recognizes the iSight
Check System Profiler (in the Utilities folder, inside the Applications folder). Under the USB header, check to see if the iSight camera is detected.
4. Reset SMC or PMU
