I just purchased an Apple computer and I am not receiving the verification e-mail from Apple to active Face Time.

• If you have not already tried it, restart your Mac and test again.
• If the trouble continues, Apple's http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2090
   suggestions may help you.  The proper "reset" suggested there for your
   particular Mac model or changing to a new user may restore normal function.
(Over time, Apple has changed the built-in camera's name on newer Macs from "iSight" to "FaceTime" and then to "FaceTime HD."  Regardless of the name of your Mac's built-in camera, the same info and troubleshooting applies.)

    My daughter has an iphone, ipod and we have a family ipad. for some reason face time will not work. it rings in but the connection is never made. I even had her phone into verizon and they couldn't figure out why facetime wouldn't work. Anyone have any ideas on how we can correct this.     You might have some sort of interference or communication problem, I just wanted to check you were entering the right ID to begin with.
    If you are using the correct ID (without spaces), then you might try restarting the router or trying another wifi channel to eliminate interference.

  • I have just upgraded to IOS 7 and for some reason iMessage and face time will not work. It asks me for my Apple ID username and password and when I enter then it tries to sign in and then after a few minutes comes up with cannot activate try connection ?

    I have just upgraded my iPad to iOS 7 and now FaceTime and iMessage will not allow me to sign in. I enter my appl I'd and password but after a few minutes I get a message to say cannot activate try network connection then try again no matter how many times you do this it will not sign in. Any thoughts ?

    try resetting your phone by turning it off and back on again. The servers may still be having a hard time keeping up, so you may just need to wait a little while and try again.

  • HT204380 iTouch Face time will not activate.  Not recieving the verification email- email account works properly

    Cannot get Apple to send a verification email.  I have tested that the email account works so I know that is not an issue.  Have been to the (not so)Genius Bar twice but they do not have a clue as why it will not send the email.  When I contact Apple I just get the same links to the same posts but no answers.

    I've just bought an iPad and when trying to set up IMessages and my FaceTime, it will not let me  ..... It asks for my apple id and password (which are definitely correct) then it says that its failed and "please check network connection and try again"
    Any ideas how to get this sorted?? It works fine on my iPhone and my emails are working fine on the iPad too.....

    You may think you are connected to the internet, but maybe not. Click on Safari and see if it connects.

    Additional things to try.
    Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

    Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

    Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
