Facebook and Skype accounts in WP messaging app

Hello,
I recently got a Lumia 925 where I have problem seeing my fb and skype contacts in the messaging app.
The problem is only with my phone as when i log into outlook.com, I can see my skype and connected fb account contacts.
When on my phone, only old messenger contacts appear as available to chat with. (No FB, skype)
Is there something I could try that may fix the problem?

Anything happen prior to this concern? What are the troubleshooting that you tried to perform on your phone? How did you link these applications to your phone? For the Skype contacts, you will only see them if you are in the main Skype application. It will not be shown under the messaging thread. As per the Facebook contacts, make sure that your Facebook account is setup on the phone. You can check this by going to Setting > Email + Account > Check if your Facebook account is there. If not, you need to set it up from there.

That page applies to iOS 6. Download the current versions of those apps on your computer's iTunes so that they are in your account's purchase history, then go to the Purchased tab in the App Store app on your iPod and see if you can download a previous compatible version of them - you won't be able to download them if the developers of those apps don't support previous versions.

If your iPhone can't be updated to a higher iOS version then the only way to get them is if you downloaded versions of them which were compatible with iOS 4.2.1 and you still have copies of those versions somewhere e.g. on your computer or on a backup - only the current version of each app is available in the store, and as apps (and other content) are tied to the account that downloads them, you will need to have older copies that are linked to your id

"VintApps" has tons of available apps for all those earlier ios devices. And you can download them right to your ios device. Many are free. But once the vendor updates them past your maximum iOS, they can not be downloaded again. Therefore, be sure to backup your iTunes app library every so often.

There is a certain minimum data rate your Internet service must support to do Video.
The little pilot light next to the camera will come on when the camera comes on. You can test out the camera with Photo Booth.

This has happened twice and I have not left my phone unattended at any time that I can recall nor have I accessed these accounts from another source (i.e. computer/laptop) since changing my passwords after the first hacking occurred. Please help.

Anyone else at your university complaining about the same thing? It is more likely someone is stealing passwords by sniffing traffic over the university wifi or with a man-in-the-middle attack or by other means external to your phone. Try a Google search on "steal password" (without quotes) or "steal SSL password" and you'll learn more than you wanted to know about how passwords get stolen.

Have Ipad, FB account and Skype account, now what

Need help, have Ipad, skype and FB accounts, one person said SIGN in to your skype acct using FB, dont know how to do that, it is NOT an option on the skype button

They are, however the Facebook website can have certain web Apps incorporated into or configured for it. Like games, and Birthday Calendar etc... One of those is Skype for Facebook.

2 things to note here:
1. Not sure if it will work on an iPad as it probably uses either Flash or Java which are not supported by Apple
mobile devices (iPad, iPhone. iPod Touch)
2. The desktop versions of the Skype application do offer the Facebook integration according to Skype's own website.

what is partially confusing is if i create it on pc and then go to my iphone and download the app would i sign into the account i creeated on a pc ?
Yes. The account is universal. You create one accopunt and sign in to it in whichever device you want to use to Skype. This allows you to have your contacts on all the devices because they are assigned to that particular account.

Facebook and skype notifications

I have a lumia 920 and can't get fb and skype notifications work.
The worked just after the installation of the apps, but then they stopped working.
The apps are fine, I just don't see toast nor tile notifications.
Any ideas? This isn't a borderline issue for a smartphone..

I'm not talking about FB chat. That is ok on my phone.
I'm referring to facebook notifications instead (comments, likes and so on):
Me tile has too much limited functionalities (for instance no groups notifications..), thus I installed FB Microsoft app.
In the app notifications are sometimes working. But most of the time I couldn't get them, even after a long time after their publishing.
It seems to be a facebook app issue in this case, but is it possible on a smartphone to lack social functionalities like this? I'm not talking about minor socials web sites, but Facebook.
The forum is plenty of topics describing exactly this issue, but no solutions yet.
Does someone have any news?

I disconnected my Skype account from facebook now you can still see friends on my Skype list from facebook anyway that goes away or can delelte that or does it just stay there anybody that can help be greatly appreciated thank you

do a search for Skype in your store. it is there now.
I can confirm that it worked flawlessly between my htc 8x and my nokia lumia 920!
I think I like the camera, as it actually made me look better on the smaller screen than I thought! ;P lol.
