Facebook app cant post updates or images

This is really weird & started a month or so ago after an iOS update.
At home my iPod works fine & i have no issues.
At my office, using the facebook app, I can not post a status update or comment on one - it just disappears.
All other forms of messages work fine - it is only & specifically if i post a comment on facebook. (a facebook 'like' or priviate message is ok)
I thought it must be something to do with the wi-fi - but after checking the router there are no weird settings, everything is just the default settings.
Facebook on my office computer is fine (using same wi-fi), all other apps & internet stuff works fine on my iPod at the office too - its only this one 'status update' issue that doesnt work.
Note: Using Safari on the iPod & m.facebook - i CAN post updates, so its just the FB app not working.
What could this be?

I updated my Facebook application thru iTunes update system,once I did this and it finished the update I tried to log onto Facebook it opens then closes .. Do a search on the site and you will find many posts.
I deleted the FB app, power cycled the device (home and reset button until Apple logo appears), then reinstalled the app. Worked for me.

Facebook app not posting

Hi Folks, I realised that the facebook app is not sending the written post into the FB stream. I use the latest updates of OS and Apps as of today on my brand new Passport. FYI my Web privacy on FB is 'friends only'.

I found the bug: when the you reshare a picture and people start commenting on, and you as resharer are replying to these posts, these comments come on the original picture, not the picture you have reshared. People simply cannot see your replies, because the come on the original picture.
Workaround one: use Facebook on the webpage on your passport
Workaround two: download the picture, and upload as a new post

My facebook app has stopped updating and send push notifications while not open. How can I fix this?

My iphone facebook app just recently stopped sending push notifications when I receive messages. It doesn't even show the little red circle on the icon.
If I open the app all updates will be loaded and when I close out the icon will have the little red circle indicating the amount of unread messages I have. It will not update while the app is closed though.
Does anyone have any idea how I can fix this?

Check your Notification Center settings (in the Settings app) to see if you have Facebook blocked on anything.
If not, just delete the App, reboot your phone, then reinstall from App Store.

Facebook App stuck when updating.

My iPad is trying to update Facebook and is completely stuck. It's also preventing other apps from updating- such as the National Trust and The Times. Please can someone tell me what I can do. I can't progress the update or even delete it! Any URGENT help would be MOST appreciated! Thanks!

Thanks for replies. I tried to open Facebook app via App Store- purchased but the little blue circle just keeps going round and round! I'm not confident about the second procedure but will have a go! Thanks!

Facebook app slow to update profile photo

hello guys!
maybe im just being paranoid, but i updated my profile photo via safari and i noticed that when i open facebook on my phone it does not change the profile photo when its updating until i move away from the profile page and then go back to it..
and occasionally it jumps back to the old profile photo again..
anyone having the same issue?

No. Facebook app works great for me.
But in case you are unaware, most things do cache in it and to reload something (eg: while looking at your news feed) you just shake the phone. You will see the loading/progress indicator up top reloading the screen when you do.

Facebook App - cant see friends friends

I am unable to see my friends friends on Facebook. When a friends page loads I see the icon for friends but once the page fully loads the friends icon disappears. I have tried to logging off and logging back on. I have removed the Facebook app twice and re-installed it. Nothing seems to work. I am able to see my friends friends if I log in through the Internet but not through the blackberry app. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I tried going onto the Facebook Help Discussion forum but there doesn't seem to be a helpful answer. It would be nice if Facebook had an open discussion forum similar to Apple Discussions but it seems like they already have pre-established questions. I can't even send a message to their Help department.
So I thought I'd give it a try on here to see if anyone can help...since there are "500 million" Facebook users out there and anyone who has a smartphone probably already has the Facebook app.

Why wont my facebook app update with IOS7

After update to IOS 7 on my Iphone 5 my facebook app will not update at all. I have deleted it many times and restarted my phone and had no luck. Any suggestions?

Has anyone come up with a solution to this yet?? I upgraded to iOS 7, but since then, I have been unable to update the Facebook iOS app from v.5 to v.6.5. When I go into the App store on the web or on my iPhone 5, it says it's already installed, and says I have the 6.5 version. But on my phone under Settings, it says I only have v.5. I have tried deleting the app from my phone and rebooting several times, but I can't break out of v.5. Can you please help me get unstuck so I can put 6.5 on my phone? This problem has existed since I upgraded my phone to iOS 7.
I had someone in Apple tech support trying to find an answer, but he just came back with a big goose-egg on my question, other than suggesting I go to Facebook Help (like that wasn't the very first thing I did long before calling Apple). And of course, Facebook Help is a misnomer.

Facebook app issue - lumia 530

I have an issue with my facebook app not updating as u scroll down news feed and group pages
It's not an ipv6 issue as I have a virgin media SH2 router and only ipv4 capability. All other phones/tablets run fb apps fine (ios and android). Issue is only on the lumia - it's not only on wifi - issue remains on hdsp+ also.
Are there any settings on the phone I could try - or anyone else got the same issue.

If you haven't tried checking if there's an available update for the Facebook app, here are the steps: go to Store > search for the Facebook app > tap the Update button if there's an update. BTW, are you able to see the News Feed and group pages when using the phone's browser?

Facebook app cuts off posted images!

I "think" I just updated the Facebook app and now the images/pictures on my newsfeed are being chopped off on the top and bottom. Everything looks enlarged. Also, peoples posts look bordered so, I'm thinking this might bea FB f up. I read somewhere to tap on the screen three times to resize it, that didnt work. It doesn't pinch either. Also, the hat menu only shows up no win a horizontal position which I did read on the FB support page. So, maybe they did change it. However, I don't want to click on e Rey picture in order to see it on the feed. Anyone?

HT4204 i have an iphone 3g and its saying that my IOS 4.2.1 is current but yet i cant download the facebook app or whatsapp ive updated my itunes but it stil wont let me. some one help it would be greatly appreciated.

The Facebook app now requires iOS 5.0 or later. I believe that 4.2.1 was the last version that Apple released for the 3G. And with the rapid approach of the iPhone 5S and possibly 6 they are no longer supporting the 3G. I would not be surprised to see them stop offering support for the 3GS this time around.

Where did you get the device? Is it possible that it has an IT policy on the device blocking Facebook and/or Facebook options? Look in Options >Security Options >General Settings (actual menu paths vary with OS version) and see if there is any reference to IT policy.

Okay, I found the answer myself. Going to about:config and setting browser.showQuitWarning to true, restored that option and brought it back. Thanks to anyone who is about to post. If this is false by default, it has got to change.

Unable to retrieve full contact screen by clicking track pad/ Facebook app update coincidence?

Recently I discovered that when I navigate to a particular contact (it just happens to be the people I talk, email, text with most often) their information doesn't open up when I click on the trackpad. This only seems to be happening with specific contacts and not the majority of people in my address book. At this point I can only get my frequent contact's specific information (phone numbers, email addresses etc) by clicking the trackpad to find their contact name, clicking again on the menu key (I cannot click view either) and then selecting email, call, sms, mms etc and only then can I do the specific task. This is a new problem so I'm wondering if I've turned off some feature on my frequent contacts when I updated my FAcebook app on my phone. Help!!

Doubtful.
I assume you're speaking of viewing those contacts from navigating to the Address Book?
Try a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner:
