Facebook app closing after a few seconds

Every time I open the Facebook app on my 8gb touch it closes after a few seconds. Sometimes it loads my news feed or notifications, sometimes it's still loading. I've deleted and reinstalled, turned the ipod on and off, restored it and stopped itunes from syncing with Facebook and nothing's worked!
The ipod's only 3 days old also...

  • I had to reinstall Abode CS3 Web Premium. Why is Acrobat 8 closing after a few seconds on Mac Os X 10.6.8, when it used to perform perfectly?

I've searched through the web and this seems to be a recurrent problem that affects various versions of Acrobat. I've reinstalled Adobe Web Premium after a clean re-installation of Mac OS X 10.6.8.
Acrobat 8 used to work fine, but now it closes after a few seconds - no crash, just closes. I tried to clear the preferences folder and I had to introduce the serial number again. When I re-entered it, it says it's not a valid number, although the number works fine on Photoshop.
    How can I solve this?
    Thank you

  • Closing after a few seconds

    Hi,
After the Update to 11.0.4 of Acrobat Pro XI - the program closes after a few secondes...
If I Open the preference - Acrobat stay open, but as soon a go back to my file, the soft close...
    Same problem with Distiller...
    What can I do???

If you see the Adobe "A" logo pop up briefly along side the Acrobat logo when you launch then it's Adobe Application Manager exiting.
You can try running Repair from Add/Remove but if that doesn't work you may try reloading Adobe Application Manager.

  • Facebook Closing after a few seconds

I recently upgraded to iOS7 on my new iPhone 5S and did the same on my wife's.  Prior to getting our new phones, I had upgraded my 4S to iOS7.  Now all three of these devices exhibit the same behavior...a few seconds after opening Facebook, the App will shut down taking us back to the home screen.  This doesn't happen with any other App, and it's only happened since we upgraded to iOS7.
So, we had three devices showing this problem, but just yesterday, my wife upgraded her iPad to iOS7, and it's doing the same thing...we're up to four devices with the same problem.
Has anyone else experienced this situation with Facebook or any other App?  Any ideas of what we might do?

Thanks, but I've tried deleting and reinstalling Facebook a few times.  I've even tried restoring one of my devices to factory settings (wht a hassle).  I'm still having the problem.

  • Maill App Closes After a Few Seconds

My mail app on my new iPad closes automatically after about 5 seconds. Any advice?

Can you send mail from your ipod?
Did you try to switch your account off and on again?
I even had to delete and setup my account again when my mail stopped connecting to my mailserver.
After that it worked fine again.

  • Podcast App crashes after a few seconds

    iPhone 4 running iOS 6.0
As of this morning, my podcast app will crash as soon as it tries to connect to the podcast/apple server to refresh/download over several wifi networks.
I deleted most of the podcasts and subscriptions trying to figure out what was causing the crash with no luck - but found that if I put the phone into airplane mode it would not crash since it was not attempting to connect to the server.
I've tried turning the phone off/on, shutting down the app, re-downloading the podcast app several times, and a "hard reset" with no success.
Based on the other threads in here I've seen with similar problems with iTunes in the past, I am assuming this is an issue with Apple's servers and possibly something to do with DRM?

  • Adobe Acrobat 8.1.3 closes after a few seconds

Anyone having an issue with Acrobat 8 closing after a few seconds? I don't get an error message - it just shuts down. I tryed to re-install it but it doesn't work. Any clues?

Navigate to the C: drive, open "Program files" look for Acrobat 8 Pro folder and find the "exe" file for Acrobat 8.1 Pro.
Right click on the "exe" file, click "Properties". Then check the box "run the program in compatibility mode for Windows XP professional"
    Close properties, exit
When relaunching Acrobat 8 Pro, It will request to be activated
    activate and then it works.

  • When i try to open week cal it loads and then closes after a few seconds...I have checked for updates, turned the phone off then on, closed out of the app and then opened it again...nothing works!  Any suggestions?

When i try to open week cal it loads and then closes after a few seconds...I have checked for updates, turned the phone off then on, closed out of the app and then opened it again...nothing works!  I have thought about deleting the app from my phone and then reloading it again but I worry that it will delete all my calendar info???  Any suggestions?

To reset, press and hold the Home and power buttons until the silver apple appears.
I would delete the app, reset the phone and then download the app again. Your calendar information should be stored on the phone as Week Cal uses the Calendar app information.
    Best of luck.

  • After installing ios 5.1 on my iphone 4s, some apps are being closed automatically after a few seconds. I've tried a restart and a total reset. nothing seems to work. Any solutions?

After installing ios 5.1 on my iphone 4s, some apps are being closed automatically after a few seconds. I've tried a restart and a total reset. nothing seems to work. Any solutions?

The problem Apps may need to be updated. Or maybe your iTunes account needs to just update itself on your iPhone. To do this, install a free App from the App Store on your iPhone. Tap App Store app on iPhone, select and install a free App. When that is done try the problem Apps to see if they work OK again.

  • My iPad shuts down apps after a few seconds.

Since a few days my iPad shuts down apps after a few seconds, while I am active with them. It happens with games as well as Safari and while I am reading eMagazines. What can I do? I am using the old iPad.

Try closing all apps completely and then do a reset and see if that helps. To close all apps : from the home screen (i.e.not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close them, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
To reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • After iOS7 update I cannot launch the music app. It crashes after a few seconds of white screen. What to do?

Just updated my iPhone 5 (16g) to iOS7 and now I cannot launch the music app anymore.
It opens and then just crashes after a few seconds of white screen.
Also If I go to Settings General About the phone crashes all the time after just a few seconds. :-(
    Andreas

The same for me. iPhone 4S, itunes match and upgrade to ios7 by air.
    So what we have:
    1) Music app does not launch (white screen then close)
    2) About screen crashes (I guess once it tries to calculate music space)
    3) Spotlight does not show any results (no care what I set to search in in the preferences)
    4) iTunes Match slider can not be set to Off. However, it is possible to logout from AppleID, then it off. But this does not change the situaton at all
    5) Podcast app does not launch
I tried to reboot, to sign in with another Apple ID, to turn off itunes Match, to reset all preferences. Nothing helps.
    Things to try:
    - reset all preferences and content
    - reinstall ios7 with itunes from scratch
    - switch to windows phone

  • Every time I open iPhoto (as of today) after a few seconds the coloured wheel appears and the program become unresponsive. I have tried closing my computer. I assume I have a corrupt file but at the moment I cannot access anything in the program?

Every time I try to open Iphoto '11 (as of today) the coloured wheel appears after a few seconds and the program becomes unresponsive. I assume I have a corrupt file but I cant do anything including accessing help. I have tried closing down and restarting but it dosnt help. Any ideas please?

    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .
