Facebook app comment box on Ipad Mini

On the facebook app on my ipad mini, sometimes (specially when there has been too many comments on that particular post already) when you are typing your comment, the keyboard covers the comment box in which you could not see what you are typing unless you hide the keyboard. Is there a work around for this?

Hello, Hatstead.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I would recommend going through the steps in the article below. If the issue persists and your device OS is up to date, I would recommend contacting the developer of the app.

Downloading an app on to my iPad mini takes 15 minutes or more just for one app is there a way to speed up the process?

Maybe your internet is very slow.
Try reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.

How can I delete a bad app completely from my iPad mini in order to re-download it as though I never had it?

Yes, it will now always show that you purchased it, but with it deleted from ipad, when yu click the icon to download again, it will download the latest versioon available from the app store.
You cannot delete what is in the app store. nor can you erase your previous history of purchasing the app.

the iPad is totally new to me. I can't seem to do anything with my Apple ID. As the title says, I am trying to download the Facebook app to my new iPad and I keep getting an error. It tells me to sign in using my existing Apple ID, which I enter, then when I put in the password I get ConnectionManager::invoke::Failed to find service connection url. Cancel or Retry. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'd also love to know how to get rid of the old owner's name, which was Mike - I'm Ann

Wow, I found a solution in another thread:
I had exact same error.....
Rebooting - Failed
Logging in to iTunes - Failed
Logging into itunes Store - Failed
Logging into iTunes Genius - SUCCESS I woulnd't have thought it would make a difference but it does Then just log into the 'other' services with iTunes.
Good luck!
I still need to know how to change the name to Ann, though, Mike keeps popping up - and yes, I have changed it under Settings.....

It is peculiar, that Chrome, Safari, and Skype can access FB, but not the iPhoto uploader.
Do you see any error messages/ diagnostics in the Console Window, when you try to connect to Facebook?
Launch a Console window from Applications > Utilities and clear the Console Window. Then try to upload. Are there any new messages?
And also launch a Terminal and have a look, if "facebook.com" is properly resolved:
Type
ping facebook.com
into the window. Do you see any transmissions? What is the IP address used?
I see:

My iphone & ipad mini are both here w/ me at my home. But the findme app is showing my ipad mini on the other side of town, how can i get that corrected?

Hello Krazyboutgolf,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information on this, take a look at:
iOS 7: Understanding Location Services
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5594
Improving GPS accuracy2,4
GPS accuracy varies depending on the number of visible GPS satellites. Locating all visible satellites can take several minutes, with accuracy gradually increasing over time. Use these tips to improve GPS accuracy:
Ensure the date, time, and time zone are correctly set on the device in Settings > General > Date & Time. If possible, use Set Automatically.
Important: Incorrect settings on your computer can sync to your device. Verify the date, time, and time zone on any computer that syncs with your device.
Restart your device.
Verify that you have a cellular or Wi-Fi network connection. This allows the Assisted GPS (A-GPS) on the device to locate visible GPS satellites faster, in addition to providing initial location information using the Wi-Fi or cellular networks.
Note: Microcells (sometimes called Femtocells) aren't supported with Location Services.
Maintain a clear view of the horizon in several directions. Keep in mind that walls, vehicle roofs, tall buildings, mountains, and other obstructions can block line of sight to GPS satellites. When this occurs, your device will automatically use Wi-Fi or cellular networks to determine your position until the GPS satellites are visible again.
Best of luck,
Mario

I downloaded the latest Facebook app ugrade to my iPad 2, and nowhere can i find the chat option. I also downloaded it to my iPhone4 and the chat option is there. Can somebody help me?

The first thing that has to be done with a new iPad is to activate it via iTunes. What version of iTunes, and what spec computer, have you got ? The iPad's minimum requirements are (from http://www.apple.com/ipad/specs/) :
Mac :
Mac computer with USB 2.0 port
Mac OS X v10.5.8 or later
iTunes 10.2 or later recommended
(free download from www.itunes.com/download)
iTunes Store account
Internet access
PC :
PC with USB 2.0 port
Windows 7; Windows Vista; or Windows XP Home or Professional with Service Pack 3 or later
iTunes 10.2 or later recommended
(free download from www.itunes.com/download)
iTunes Store account
Internet access

• HT204266 I can not open App Store In my iPad mini

I Can not open App Store on my iPad mini ISO 8.1

Have you tried:
Can't connect to the iTunes Store
Otherwise what exactly happens when you try to open the app?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Go to Settings>iTunes and App Store and sign out and sign back in
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

• On scan Aztec code, the app is crashing on iPad Mini.

On scan Aztec code, the app is crashing on iPad Mini.
- (void) captureOutput:(AVCaptureOutput *)captureOutput
didOutputMetadataObjects:(NSArray *)objs
fromConnection:(AVCaptureConnection *)connection
for(AVMetadataMachineReadableCodeObject *object in objs)
NSLog(@"Found barcode: %@: %@", object.type, object.stringValue);
return;
It crashes for object.stringValue.
For object.type, it returns org.iso.Aztec.
for other barcode types it is scanning properly without any issue.
Please let me know if any one observed the same ? or have any solution.

Delete the app and redownload.
Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.

• Getting a "waiting..." or "installing..." message after sideloading an Enterprise signed app onto iOS 7 iPad Mini (among others) using App Builder 3.1.0.

Getting a "waiting..." or "installing..." message after sideloading an Enterprise signed app onto iOS 7 iPad Mini (among others) using App Builder 3.1.0. The app icon remains "dim" on iPad desktop with one of the two messages. The messages change depending upon sync with iTunes or power-up from a shutdown. Tried assigning v30 and v31 as viewer versions, neither appear to work. The certificate signing appear to work without incident. The appropriate profile appears correctly within the iPad does not show it is expired.

This happens when the mobileprovision file does not include the device ID of the device you are attempting to install onto. You need to recreate the .mobileprovision file and make absolutely sure the device ID for the devices are included.

• How many apps will a 32gb ipad mini hold?

how many apps will a 32gb ipad mini hold?

There's no way to give a number since it depends on the size of the apps. Some are quite small, but some take up a lot of space. I have apps as small as 7MB and some well over 300MB, and I'm sure those are by no means the largest apps that exist. So there's no way we can really answer your question other than to say that after taking into account the amount of space the OS and bundles apps take up and the difference in how the capacity is listed between technical specs and what an operating system can use, a 32GB iPad will have about 28GB of usable capacity.
Regards.

Hi chawsi,
Try adjusting your Trackpad sensitivity, reduce it to 50 or 60 and give a Battery pull Restart i;e. while device is Powered On remove the Battery wait for a min. then reinsert it back wait till the device Reboots. Perform this two Tricks then I don't think you will have problem in this matter.
Good Luck

• HT1386 How do I sync all my apps to my new Ipad mini and not my music?*

I have just bought an Ipad mini. I already have an ipod touch. I wish to keep my ipod for music, and the mini for apps, mail, safari etc etc iefor everything but my music. How can I sync my mini without syncing my music. Even if I wanted to my 16gig mini will not take the 30 odd gigs worth of music I have on itunes. So want to avoid an issue before it happens- which would happen with auto sync. Help please. I am a relatively new (baby boomer!) apple convert, so please be gentle wtih your answers......ie simple text!

Just check/unchedk the boxes so that Music is not synced. See step 3 below and uncheck the Sync Music box.

• Every time I try and use iTunes or the App Store on my iPad Mini, I keep getting the message "Cannot connect to iTunes Store". However, on my iPod Touch 4th Generation - signed into the same account - it works with no problems. Can anyone help? Thanks!

As I've already mentioned, I can't connect to iTunes or the App Store, the same message appears every time: "Cannot connect to the iTunes Store". I downloaded a few apps before I connected my iPad Mini to my Computer. I started doing an update that was about 9 or 10 hours long, somewhere around that time, and I unplugged it about halfway through the update and since then I've not been able to get onto iTunes or the App Store. I checked to see if I could continue the update but when I looked on iTunes again, no updates appeared. On my iPod Touch 4th Generation, everything works absolutely fine and it is logged into the same Apple ID. I've tried resetting my Network Settings, logging into someone else's Apple ID, connecting to a different Wifi, changing the DNS settings to 8.8.8.8, rebooting my Computer and iPad and changing the HTTP Proxy to Auto. Is there anything else I could try or am I just overlooking something? I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out here, thanks!

Can you connect to a wifi source on the device? Enable wifi in settings on the device itself. If you don't have wifi at home, there may be a local hotspot you can use for this.
The reason this happens is carriers don't want people downloading huge files that would slow their network as well as eat up your data plan.

• Why won't my apps download on new ipad mini?

My apps will not download on my new ipad mini? They remain in the "waiting" stage for days. have tried deleting and re-downloading one by one, but have not had any success.

I was having the same problem and I tried the following and now everything is working fine:
Reset Network Settings. Resetting your network settings is a fast, easy way to trouble shoot your WiFi connection issues on your iPad Mini, and also on your iPad and iPhone as well. Resetting your network settings allows your device to flush out all cache information from your wireless network, DNS and nameserver settings, etc… basically it allows your device to start fresh on your wireless network. Here’s how to reset your network settings on your iPad Mini (iPhone and iPad as well).
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Tap “Settings” icon on your homepage > tap the “General” option > tap on “Reset” > then finally tap on “Reset Network Settings”. Your iPad will restart.
Renew IP Address.
Settings > Wifi > Tap the Blue Arrow (right-hand side) next to the network that you connect to
Click Auto under HTTP Proxy
Click Renew Lease
Connect to your selected network
Try Safari, then YouTube, then try downloading a free app.
If you still do not have appropriate connectivity after this, take to your local Apple Store/Reseller and test, fix, or replace.
