Facebook app from OVI

Please can someone advise
I have a Nokia E5 and when I start the Facebook application it asks for username and password - and then immediately goes back to the Nokia home screen before any information can be entered (The login screen flashes on for about 1 second)
I want to reinstall the facebook application, but when I go to the OVI site it states that the facebook application is not available for the E5 - only Facebook Chat. But I see most people use Facebook on the E5 and there is even a Youtube video of facebook running on the E5.
How do I get Facebook app on the E5 ? (Currently I am going into the internet and using the Facebook webpage - but would like to use the app)

Do u know how others got theirs into their phone?I mean ur fellow E5 users?

Can't download paid apps from Ovi Browser

Hi,
I am not able to download paid apps from Ovi Browser. I am using Nokia X6.
Here are the more information about my device
1. Device -> Nokia x6
2. Operator -> Idea, TATA DOCOMO, Airtel, Reliance(3G)
3. Locatioin -> India
I tried to download paid apps using all these oprator connection.For Idea, TATA DOCOMO, Airtel i am not able to view the Best Sellers option in the Deivce Ovi Browser. When I change the SIM card and put Reliance I can see the Best Sellers option in the ovi borser, but then I click on the Best Sellers option it says "There is no paid item for this category".
I am trying to download Application and Games.
When I open the ovi store in my PC I can see the paid application and game listed there, but not from my Device Ovi browser.

You should be able to restore it by going into the app store, then into the "purchased" section (along the bottom of the screen), and finally redownloading it to your phone by clicking on the app icon in the list of purchased apps.

Error when installing apps from OVI Store on my x7...

I have trouble installing apps from OVI recently. I pretty often get ``Installation error``. Ive installed the software update today Its still the same.
Any segestions ???

I would suggest you try and update to the latest Ovi Store, now called Nokia Store.
With your phone's browser go to the following address:
http://lr.ovi.mobi/store/new-symbian-3
you should then get the option to install the latest Nokia Store client, and this should include new QT files. Corrupt QT files are usually the problem when installations from the Nokia/Ovi Store fails.

Then if you have tried all the browsers try connecting the system to yoour router with an Ethernet cable and turn WiFi off. If you have the same problem then it more then likely after your computer, Router or modem or connection from your ISP.
If you get good browsing with the Ethernet cable then it is either the WiFi card in your Mac or the WiFi system in your router.

Unfortunately there is nothing that you can do and you CAN'T install these apps becuse your phone is too old. A 3G cannot be updated beyond iOS 4.2, which is the most it can support and these apps need iOS 4.3 or above to be installed and there are no versions of these apps available.
Developers have to place a cut off somewhere and keep developing for the most recent software that does not now include the 3G.
If you want to install these apps on your phone, then you will have to upgrade to either an iPhone 3Gs, iPhone 4, 4s or 5. That is all you can do because you won't be able to download these apps on an iPhone 3G - just not possible any longer.

Facebook app from Nokia store won't detect data

My Facebook app on my E5-00 will only detect the wifi at my house and nothing else. So, when I'm away from home I cannot access this app... The settings on the app doesn't provide a choice of what data I want to use, so what can I do? I've already deleted and downloaded again several times with the same results. Help

When you highlight Internet (not open it), does that have a small flag, at the right hand side? That is the default connection which you can change via Options. Now we have checked the destination Internet is the default connection. After that, when you open Internet, do you see an access point which matches your network operator?

I just bought an app from the Ovi STore (Shozu) but had some problems during installation
I tried re-downloading it but it prompts me again to buy the application
How can you re-download an application you allraedy purchased from the ovi store (this is also imporant for after firmware upgrade when you have to reinstall a big number of applications again)

Open Nokia Store on your phone and log-in..Then go to Options-->Account-->Settings-->Installation Preferences-->..and select Memory Card ..

You dont have change your wifi settings.(I hopr you dont have any probs with your internet connection)

so i am still having trouble installing this app i have pain for the full version after having g the trial i am still getting the finalizing installation cancelling installation problem i have UN-installed all fmobi related files and tried re-installing it but not joy i thought maybe it was a QT file problem but i downloaded another QT dependent app from the store no problem any help would be great thanks

They do not let you disable it- but there is a way sort of to turn the annoyance off part time:
Settings–>Facebook–>Settings–>Auto-play videos on WiFi only
Doesn't make it less annoying

C7 failed to install apps from Ovi Store

I had a problem where I was unable to install applications from Ovi Store to C7. I finally found out that the my C7 had two versions of Nokia Smart Installer installed. After removing the old version (required reboot to be able to do that) the installation started working.

I have a problem with my nokia c7. when i try 2 intall ovi store it shows unable to install.
