Facebook app is crashing
My FB app is crashing anytime I try to update status, upload a picture or check-in to a location.
I've deleted and reinstalled app twice and have also done a re-start on my iPad twice.
I have not updated to any iOS 6 updates (like the Google maps too much)

I was having exactly the same problem with facebook app day before yesterday.. I have iphone 4 with iOS 4.1.. Searched thru forums and found several people had faced this problem.. Solution advised was uninstalling app and reinstalling it.. Uninstalled the app and when tried reinstalling, was asked for minimum iOS version 4.3.. On top of this, my laptop got fried by a power surge so cannot even restore the app.. Screwed!

Close the Facebook app on the Task Bar and re-launch.
1. Double-click the Home button to reveal Task Bar
2. Hold Facebook app down for a second or two until you see the minus sign
3. Tap the minus sign to close app

Facebook App is crashing, and crashing in Safari

Over the last 24 hrs, my Facebook App has started crashing. Rebooting phone does not fix the problem. I tried connecting through Safari and the same thing happened. I then tried the Dolphin browser, again it crashed. I then installed Facely HD. Same thing. Phone otherwise works perfectly. Seems to be something with Facebook. FYI; I'm running iOS 4.1 on the Phone. Does anyone know what's going on, or experiencing this problem themselves?Hi,

Facebook app WebkinzFriend crashes using Safari
Because of this I am having to use Chrome which is not my favorite browser. I prefer Safari. Is there an extention or plugin I can install to help prevent this app from crashing while using my safari? I keep Flash updated but does not help.

Every time I open the facebook app, it crashes! Help
I dont know why, and alot of other people are having the same trouble. It'd be great if someone would help, would be greatly appreciative.
Are your other apps crashing when you open them? If not delete your app and download it again.

Yesterday, the Facebook app is crashing on my iPhone. Tap the FB icon and the screen pops up with a blank white page with the FB blue line along the top - no text anywhere, then closes (crashes) after 2 seconds. Nothing has changed on the iPhone recently - this FB app crash happened all of a sudden.
iPhone 4 running iOS 5.1.1
FB app version 89182
Steps already taken:
Deleted FB app, turned off/on phone, reinstalled app (no change).
Deleted FB app, turned off phone, logged into FB via computer, reset password, reinstalled FB app on iPhone (no change).
Any other suggestions? We're not ready to upgrade the iPhone to iOS 6.1, though that may fix the issue - not sure. Odd that it happened all-of-a-sudden.
PaulThe exact same problem is happening to my iPhone as well. Tried all steps, nothing worked. When browsing the files used/created by the Facebook application (in the backup folder) I found a file named "error" with the following contents:

Facebook App Crashes to Home Screen
For some reason, the Facebook app keeps crashing. It opens but then a second later it goes back to the home screen. Should I try deleting it and re-installing?
Reinstalling may help. However, I use Safari to access Facebook. It's generally faster and more stable than the app.

Ok, I have a weird problem and I don't even know if I'm posting this in the right forum, but here goes...
Essentially, the Facebook app on my iPhone 5s won't load whenever I'm on my home wifi network. (Everything else works fine, just not the FB app.) It works fine on my work wifi network and if I turn off wifi on my phone it will load just fine over LTE or 3G. It does it on two different iPhones, so I know it's not just my phone. Anyone have any idea why my home wifi network would prevent the FB app from loading? I can open facebook.com in Safari on my iPhone, just not the app. Any ideas?
I have a ZTE fiber optic modem, a Time Capsule, and an AirPort Extreme set up here at home. Not sure if that matters...

My facebook app crashes as i open it. I ave rebootes the system on my iphone still no use. I also uninstalled the app and put a new one but its the same. Please advice . Using iphone 5 Nd ios7.0.3
doesn't matter what iphone you have, the issue isn't your phone, but with facebook, either contact the app devloper or look at their support site to troubleshoot. Or leave them a review stating your issue.

The Facebook app crashes every time I open it
Recently my Facebook app has been crashing a lot. At first it would only crash when I tried to load my news feed, but now it crashes after a few seconds every time I open it.
This morning the Facebook App will not finish updating in iTunes11 on a 10,1 iMac, Mavericks. Now it is unavailable.
iTunes Facebook Update download keeps telling me that: "the artwork is missing" whatever that is in an App for iMac, iPhone4 and iPad Air. I deleted the Facebook app from iTunes on the iMac, which resulted in all deletions as the other items were synced. I cannot download the Facebook App in the App Store just now at 1:23 AM Central. I think they have switched it unavailable for the time being. -
Facebook app crashes immediately upon opening
For some reason, I can not open Facebook app on iPhone or iPad .it crashes and closes immediately upon opening. Any ideas?
Facebook is the app that crashes the most but others do it as well. I found out that I was having a problem because I took the phone in to a 'genius' as my batterey life seemed short. The genius plugged my phone in to some diagnostic gadget and informed me of these crashes, told me that some apps might be corrupted and that I would need to restore the phone. I wasn't properly prepared to hand it over to him right then & there so told him I'd be back once I had done a backup.
I called AppleCare to see if this restoration was something that I could do on my own as it seemed to involve corrupt apps.
Meanwhile I should state that when an app begins to act up I delete it from the phone and re-download it from the store. This seems to work for a bit.
Here is where, as an old time Mac user I begin to rant a little. I keep my Macs spic and span. What is the deal that Apple hasn't provided a utility for keeping one's iPhone 'clean'? This annoys me. I will know just how annoyed once I put my call into a genius and find out what it's going to take to get my phone running smoothly again. -

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
If that doesn't work quit the Facebook app. Go to the Home screen and double click the Home button. That will reveal the row of recently used apps at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold on the app in question until it jiggles and displays a minus sign. Tap the minus sign to actually quit the app. Then tap anywhere on the screen above that bottom row to return the screen to normal. Then delete the Facebook app and download it again. -

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Most recently, I updated my iOS version to 7.0.4. After that, my facebook app often gets crashed and even though I re-install it, the problem persists. And also, the phone freezes much often. I am really afraid that my device is damaged or engulfed with bugs. How can I solve this? Help please!!
