Facebook App Server Certificate Error

Hi all...I'm getting an error when I changed my security settings on the full web version of Facebook to https from http after discovering Facebook changed my setting without me knowing.
The problem though is now, whenever I load up Facebook on my BB, it comes up with an error saying “You are attempting to open secure connection to : fbcdn-profile-a.akamaihd.net" and it keeps doing it. I've tried deleting Facebook for BlackBerry and reinstalling it from the BlackBerry App World but this has just reproduced the same error. Is this some kind of glitch and does anyone know a fix for it?
Any help appreciated!

This problem has been fixed on April 17. To get your app to work, you have to remove then re-add your Facebook data source (again specifying your app client-id).
We apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

  • I am getting a Invalid Server Certificate error when I go to secure web sites.

I am getting an Invalid Server Certificate error in Safari when I go to https web sites. I am running Snow Leopard 10.6.8. My time and date are correct on my computer. I have no problem accessing non-https web sites.
Any suggestions on why this is happening are appreciated.

Launch the Activity Monitor application by entering the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select “All Processes” from the popup menu in the toolbar, if not already selected. Enter "ocspd" (without the quotes) in the "Filter" text field. Does a process with that name appear in the table below?

Reach out to your provider. They would be responsible for maintaining any certificates associated with the account.

  • Office Web Apps deploy certificate error

IIS Using Domain Certificate, when access "https://fqdn/hosting/discovery"  with certificate error.
Office web apps using same CA with Front End Server.
new web farm with this new certificate name.
    Any suggest?
    Thanks.

When you get the certificate are you able to view the certificate details? Do they match the name of the site?
Do you have the appropriate root certificate installed on the client that you are browsing from?

  • Office Web Apps Server Certificate For External

    Hi guys,
I am requesting a DigiCert certificate for my environment Exchange 2013.
Can I include the SAN name for Office Web Apps server, such as externalowa.domain.com in to the Exchange generated certificate?
From theory wise it seems logic, but kind of uncertain.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Low.

    Hi Nithyanandham,
    Thanks for the prompt reply
I will just list down what I did to be more clear.
I generated a CSR from Exchange 2013 with the following
Webmail.domain.com - for Outlook Web Access, Outlook Anywhere, ActiveSync
    Autodiscover.domain.com - for AutoDiscover purposes
Can I include the externalowa.domain.com, which is for Office Web Apps server
Reason is because the Exchange server and Office Web Apps server is located differently. Am I doing the correct way?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Low

  • E71 App check certificate error while installing

I just bought my E71 two days ago and I'm pretty much enjoying it but for one thing, I have been experiencing problems when Installing apps. At first I cant install both themes and apps, then I changed software installation to all and the online certificate check to off, I was able to install only the themes and the files from the Download! app... I still cant install Apps that I downloaded from my PC, I tried to change the date.... and still nothing happens, the "certificate error check with app supplier". Does anyone have an idea to solve this problem???
    Thank YOu~

    @sarfaz
For MMSSync set the phone date to a date between October 6th 2006 and October 5th 2011.
Whilst suggestion by rayhipkiss should at least enable to install the above, on specific S60 3rd applications certificate may well have expired prior to 2010
To save trial and error if there is an application that you really want post details and it is possible to check certificate details within the .sis file.

  • Facebook App v3.3 Error - HELP!

I have a Torch 9800. I tried to upgrade earlier today to the new Facebook App v3.3. I rebooted my phone when prompted, and when my phone started up there was an Error message that said something about java.lang. Now my Facebook app is gone, and Blackberry App World will not open. I tried rebooting again, but the same thing happens. I also tried to install the Facbook app from App World online, and it says installation failed. What do I do now? Thank You!

Yep, everything was working just fine. I got an App World notification for a Facebook upgrade, so I went to App World and started the upgrade. After it was done it prompted me to reboot, like it usually does after some upgrades, and I did the reboot. When my phone came back on, right away there was an error msg that popped up. It said "Uncaught Exception java.lang.error" And that's when I noticed my icons had all shifted, because the Facebook App icon was gone. So I tried to go back to App World, but I touch it and click on it and it just refuses to open now. The only place I could even find the Facebook App was listed in Application Management, so I deleted it. Then I went to Facebook.com on my browser and tried to download the app again, and it took me to App World online, instead of through the actual app, but the Facebook App downloaded, and again I got the same error msg "Uncaught Exception java.lang.error". So, I deleted the Facebook App again, but for some reason App World will not open. (And yes, we have a data plan, and yes, "3G" is at the top. We've had these phones for almost 2 years, and nothing like this has ever happened.)

YOU may have to edit your domain.xml in your domains/domain1 in config directory. Only if you know about xml. If you ever have to uninstall and install the server again, make sure you always copy your domain.xml somewhere. YOu can always copy it back if something goes wrong. I made some settings within my admin console. The server won't start. After some time, I opened my domain.xml and edited it. It started again. So it is worth knowing something about xml.

  • Facebook app 2 showing error 100

I'm using a bold 9900 on os7 and my facebook shows error 100 when trying to log in but I can use all my other apps. Bb app world isn't working as well. Contacted service provider n network is good

Hi and Welcome to the Community!!
For FB -- Is there perhaps more to the error message than just "Error 100"? It is always most helpful to have the full and complete error message, including all punctuation.
For AW - can you perhaps provide a tiny bit more detail? "isn't working" pretty much leaves us to guess...
Nevertheless, I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
    1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
    2) Delete and Resend Service Books
KB05000Delete the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account from the BlackBerry smartphone
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    3) Batt Pull Reboot
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you!

Please let me know solutions for this problem. Thanks in advance.
    Regards,

This problem has been fixed on April 17. To get your app to work, you have to remove then re-add your Facebook data source (again specifying your app client-id).
We apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

  • Can't play podcast from iPhone 3gs iTunes app: server configuration error?

so my podcast madness radio streams and downloads fine from a desktop computer.
but on the iphone 3gs 3.0.1 i get the "server is not correctly configured" error when i try to play the same podcast in the iTunes iPhone app.
any idea the reason for this?
    thanks!

    Hello Carpathianna,
No judgment here on the music you listen to, I have that song too in my library. If iTunes is telling you that the song is missing and you purchased it from the iTunes Store, then just delete it from your iTunes library and then download your song again. Check out the articles below for more information.

  • App world network error code 40820

Hi i have issues with App world v3 with an error code 40820 which says they cant connect to the network server. I have tried all the resolutions possible in the support from blackberry but it still dosen't work.
I can view apps to download but i cant access my world or complete downloads. Please help! facebook app had an error message of 100 whereby they couldnt contact server.
I have deleted the facebook app v2 and now the App world v3 still doesn't work. Im using a bold 9900 os7.
    Help required urgently!

several at http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB28188 - but none work for me (running OS 7.1 now!).
What does work for me is - turn off cellular and on WiFi - connect to an access point and no error. Don't forget to switch off wifi and on cellular when done!
BTW. App world access problems happened for me (over cellular) with OS 7.0 OEM build on my Torch 9850. Then they (BB/VZW) pushed out a new build and the problem disapeared!!!  Not to leave well enough alone, BB/VZW just made the OS 7.1 available, so I installed it - voila! the problem has reappeared. My corporate help desk said there is nothing in our BES set up that could be blocking it that he can find, so I blame BB/VZW (and there seems no way to contact them re: the KB article to say "where is the fix for OS 7.1?").

  • Problem with HTTPS requests to host with untrusted server certificate

    Hi,
I develop an iPhone framework which sends HTTPS requests in order to communicate with a publicly available backend server. Currently I have a big problem regarding untrusted server certificates.
The certificate of the backend server is not signed by a trusted CA, so my first approach was to use NSURLRequest's private allowsAnyHTTPSCertificateForHost. While this worked as expected an was fine as temporary workaround, our customer demands a clean solution as final result. Therefore I wrote a method which allows to install a provided certificate from the file system in the keychain, but this method does not work as expected in the iPhone Simulator. The certificate is installed in the host machine's Mac OS X keychain instead. Unfortunately, if I call NSURLConnection's sendSynchronousRequest method, I retrieve an "untrusted server certificate" error. It seems as if NSURLConnection is not able to access the host's Mac OS X keychain to retrieve the certificate.
Is my guess correct or did I miss something?
Would my approach work if I ran my app on a real iPhone device instead (I do not have one available yet)?
Does there exist a keychain in the iPhone Simulator at all?
Is it at all possible to send HTTPS requests to a server with an untrusted certificate on the iPhone Simulator or do I have to use precompiler directives to implement different routines depending on the underlying platform (simulator or device, respectively)?
    Any help is highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Matthias

Indeed this would be a clean and simple solution. But our customer is not willing to get a real certificate, for whatever reasons.
The question that remains is if the HTTPS requests would succeed on the iPhone device itself if the server certificate was installed in the keychain by the same app beforehand.
