Facebook App Updates???

Are there any Facebook app updates in the near future? I own the LG Ally and the Facebook app that came installed on the phone keeps saying "Error while fetching data [null]" everytime I go into the News Feed, and when it does work it's all old posts, very rare when this app works perfectly...Just got the Ally about 2 weeks ago.

try what arichard mentioned. however, the fb app for android it pretty poor. i actually just saved the mobile version of the site to my internet favorites and use it (www.m.facebook.com). i find it MUCH more useful than the app.

Unable to retrieve full contact screen by clicking track pad/ Facebook app update coincidence?

Recently I discovered that when I navigate to a particular contact (it just happens to be the people I talk, email, text with most often) their information doesn't open up when I click on the trackpad. This only seems to be happening with specific contacts and not the majority of people in my address book. At this point I can only get my frequent contact's specific information (phone numbers, email addresses etc) by clicking the trackpad to find their contact name, clicking again on the menu key (I cannot click view either) and then selecting email, call, sms, mms etc and only then can I do the specific task. This is a new problem so I'm wondering if I've turned off some feature on my frequent contacts when I updated my FAcebook app on my phone. Help!!

Doubtful.
I assume you're speaking of viewing those contacts from navigating to the Address Book?
Try a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner:

Why wont my facebook app update with IOS7

After update to IOS 7 on my Iphone 5 my facebook app will not update at all. I have deleted it many times and restarted my phone and had no luck. Any suggestions?

Has anyone come up with a solution to this yet?? I upgraded to iOS 7, but since then, I have been unable to update the Facebook iOS app from v.5 to v.6.5. When I go into the App store on the web or on my iPhone 5, it says it's already installed, and says I have the 6.5 version. But on my phone under Settings, it says I only have v.5. I have tried deleting the app from my phone and rebooting several times, but I can't break out of v.5. Can you please help me get unstuck so I can put 6.5 on my phone? This problem has existed since I upgraded my phone to iOS 7.
I had someone in Apple tech support trying to find an answer, but he just came back with a big goose-egg on my question, other than suggesting I go to Facebook Help (like that wasn't the very first thing I did long before calling Apple). And of course, Facebook Help is a misnomer.

When are we getting a freaking Facebook app update? This is really sad that we have not received 1 update!!!!

When we will get a more robust FB app. This is crazy, come on Palm!!!!

Find another app? Honestly, if facebook broke their app it's up to facebook to fix it. I access facebook via safari on my iPad, but there are plenty of third party apps that may even work better than the main one. I have Facely and occasionally use it.
But when apps are broken, all users can do is find work arounds until the developer fixes it. Apple has no control over what the developers do and won't help fix an app.

New Facebook App Update

Okay, so it doesn't have push notifications as I thought it would for Inbox Messages.
But, since it supports 3.0 - What does it actually support?
Any clues guys?

Sorry to say this but pretty much nothing... it is just supposed to be more stable with this update on OS3.0

Facebook app download problem

Tried to download Facebook app update to iPhone 4s last night. It would not complete.
This a.m., I have a fb icon on the screen -- dark-grayed out. It will not delete.
I tried downloading the app again, and it will not download. I have also turned the phone off and on, and still have the grayed app that won't work, won't delete, and for which I can't download an update.
'have no idea what else to try.

Are you on WiFi or 3G? If WiFi, when I've had this happen, first I go to Settings & turn WiFi off. Wait a minute, then turn it back on. Usually fixes things.

Facebook app will not open in iOS5.1.1

My Facebook app updated yesterday and now it will not open. My ipod says the software is up to date. Is there some kind of conflict or bug which prevents the newest version of Facebook from working on this operating system? I can't update to iOS6 on this model of iPod I guess.

Can I sync an iPad but omit one app update?

I have asked this question in iTunes without success so will try here for a wider audience.
I have a housebound relative who uses her iPad and Facebook as her link to the outside world.
There is a badge for the new Facebook app but looking at the comments about it the App update has caused many Facebook account to be rendered lmost unusable from n iOS device.. My relative does not want to upgrade the app until the problems are resolved for fear of losing the use of Facebook.
However he does keep her iPad Synced with iTunes regularly. So is there any way that an iTunes sync can be carried out but the Facebook app update omitted so in fact she keeps the current app she is using.
I think not but would welcome any suggestions.

Is the app on her computer's iTunes, and if so is it the new version or not ? If it's the new version then she can delete it from her computer's iTunes library which will stop the new version being synced to her iPad. When she then syncs her iPad it might copy the old version from the iPad to her computer's iTunes - but if she always downloads app updates on her computer then that will get updated on her computer to the new version again, so she will need to delete the app from her computer's iTunes before she syncs again.

HT4204 i have an iphone 3g and its saying that my IOS 4.2.1 is current but yet i cant download the facebook app or whatsapp ive updated my itunes but it stil wont let me. some one help it would be greatly appreciated.

The Facebook app now requires iOS 5.0 or later. I believe that 4.2.1 was the last version that Apple released for the 3G. And with the rapid approach of the iPhone 5S and possibly 6 they are no longer supporting the 3G. I would not be surprised to see them stop offering support for the 3GS this time around.

Okay, I found the answer myself. Going to about:config and setting browser.showQuitWarning to true, restored that option and brought it back. Thanks to anyone who is about to post. If this is false by default, it has got to change.

ALL of your music should be on your computer in itunes. Is it not?
How did it get on your ipod in the first place if not from your comptuer?
Everything on your ipod should be on your computer and you should be syncing regularly.
