Facebook chat, like or posting comments does not work

Antime I try and post to my facebook page or anyone elses I click post and nothing happens. It also will not load chat at all.

Although possibly not related to your problem, I have to remind you that the version of Firefox you are using at the moment has been discontinued and is no longer supported. On top of this, it has known unpatched bugs and security problems. I urge you to update to the latest version of Firefox, for maximum security, stability, performance and usability. You can get it for free, as always, at [http://www.getfirefox.com getfirefox.com].

In any case, it's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. Send POST-Data does not work

Hi all,
I am new to Flex so I try some stuff to get myself into
AS/Flex in a good way (I hope :)).
I wrote a small class that encapsulates the HTTPService class
using AS. Then I tried to send some data and I get a response from
my server but the POST-Data I try to send does not come up.
Everything else seems to wokr in my class...
Code attached!!!
Anyone knows why there is no POST-Data sent to my PHP? When I
alert the contents of my _objPostData.objPostData I get the Data I
entered in my edtLoginUsername/edtLoginPassword. So what goes

Are you SURE you're sure that no post data is getting sent?
To me it just
looks like you're not actually WAITING for the result by
attaching an event
listener to the result event. Instead, you're trying to read
the result
event immediately.

Smart folder search with "comments" does not work

I am using Lion (OS 10.7.5), and am unable to define a Smart Folder in which the search criteria is a particular Comment in "Get Info". Nothing appears in the folder. In System Preferences, Spotlight lists under "Search Results" 15 different categories, but "Comments" is not one of them.

I haven't tried this, but the auth part is mainly added to support credentials for OpenSearch result sources. It might work for SP as well, but you have to make sure you have enabled basic auth on the web app. Have you done that?

My effects like exposure, tint, temp does not work

I don't know if i click in a wrong place but when I go to develop and I try to use exposure, tint, temp etc in the first part anything works, I would like to know if someone knows about it

So, when you used the sliders, did you see corresponding entries in the edit history?
If you save metadata (after using the sliders), then reset all settings, then re-read metadata, are the settings back the way they were before resetting?
If so, then it's as Paige said - the photo is being edited, but somethings blocking either the rendering or the display of rendered image..
If not, then there's where you gotta concentrate your efforts (or file a bug report and include pertinent info..).

Absolute cell reference in formula does not work when sorting. Previously posted solution does not work.

I have two worksheets. Worksheet A has 5 columns. First Name, Last Name, Donation Amount, Donation Date, Contact Person. On the other worksheet I am trying to get the donations done or enabled by a certain
contact person. My formula is a simple addition:
='Board_Donations_2013-2014'!D7+'Board_Donations_2013-2014'!D284
It's a simple addition but when I sort Worksheet A by first name, or last name or any other way the amount/number on the cells change. D7 for example is $5,000, but when I sort the list by a different parameter
it becomes $20,000 or whatever amount is on that cell now. I tried to use absolute reference, but it still changes.
I want the amount/number on the cell (in this case D7 or D284) to stay consistent in the formula after sorting, not the cell location itself.
I have office XP and Excel 2010.
Any suggestions?

Based on your required, we may add a Vlookup formula in the calculation process. It'll help us keep the relevant name & donation amount value after sorting. Please see the below image:
Formula: =SUM(VLOOKUP("jonh",A2:E4,3,0),VLOOKUP("luna",A2:E4,3,0))

Calling [sqlcmd] via PowerShell & Passing a Path like C:\Test\Test\ does not work?

I'm using a PowerShell script to execute a custom.sql script.
If:
$PathToMdf = "C\TEST"
$PathToMdf = "C\TEST\"
The this line works:
&'sqlcmd' -v PathToMdf = "'$PathToMdf'" PathToLdf = "'$PathToLdf'" -S $server -d $masterDatabase -E -b -i $script_01
BUT
If:
$PathToMdf = "C:\TEST"
$PathToMdf = "C:\TEST\"
Then the line:
&'sqlcmd' -v PathToMdf = "'$PathToMdf'" PathToLdf = "'$PathToLdf'" -S $server -d $masterDatabase -E -b -i $script_01
crashes with this exception message:
Sqlcmd: ':'' : Invalid argument. Enter '-?' for help etc.
Why can I not pass in a parameter that contains ":" ?

Firefox 3.5: facebook chat does not work

After an update to firefox 3.5 the facebook chat does not work anymore. It says I should update to the current firefox version. With the mozilla binary everything works fine.
Someone with the same problem?

A more versatile solution (imho) than delving into about:config is to install the User Agent Switcher plugin found here
install that, restart, and then go to the User Agent Switcher icon, Choose "Edit User Agents..."
Click "Add" > "New User Agent" and it should give you the firefox agent by default. change it to:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1) Gecko/20090703 Firefox/3.5
(all i did was change Shiretoko to Firefox)
Name and save the agent, and then select it from the drop down and refresh facebook. works like a charm!
for extra credit, go to the User Agent Switcher icon, Choose "Edit User Agents..." and import this list:

Now you can spoof a bunch of browsers!

Sorry, but iTunes U is only available to K-12 public school districts, private schools and two- and four-year accredited, degree-granting, public or private colleges and universities. It's not available for corporations.

I also have problems with Facebook on my iPad 2. I don't do a lot with Facebook and generally only post on my feed page. Sometimes hitting return on the keyboard enters the comment, sometimes not. Sometimes the comment will show on my iPad but if I revisit that page I find that the comment has disappeared. So I'd say that Facebook and my iPad are not totally compatible with each other.
I looked into Friendly and was about to purchase this free ap. But before I did I went to the Friendly web page for more info. There I found a page with users comments. One after another users complained about bugs with Friendly. The developers claimed a fix was coming but the user comments complained about the lack of response and support. One of the fixes suggested by the developers was to log out of Friendly then log back in. One user complained that doing this three times in ten minutes was not very helpful. Because of this I decided to avoid Friendly.
I did find a Facebook developed ap but it was for the iPhone. I presume that iPhone aps will work on the iPad but I'll wait until Facebook releases an iPad compatible ap. If there is an ap developed by Facebook for the iPad that I missed please let me know.

Google talk video plugin does not work any more with Firefox 4. When clicking on the video chat icon, I am repeatedly asked to install the plugin, and it never works.

Google talk audio/video plugin used to work fine on Firefox 3, but does not work anymore on Firefox 4. Every time I click on the video chat icon on google talk, I am asked to install the plugin, even if I have already installed it before. The plugin works properly on the latest version of IE on the same PC.
Thanks for your help. I do not want to switch to Chrome or Opera, but if this bug is not fixed, I will have to.

Not sure if installing IE 9 did it or not but I now see the camera in IE, FF and Chrome. Could be Facebook fixed the problem also.

Poster image does not appear in IE

I am having another problem with the poster image feature. In IE7 & 8, the poster image does not appear at all when the player is first loaded. If the page is cached and loaded, the poster image appears fine.
I think this is a bug, but can anyone confirm seeing this or fixing it?

I am confused as to how to use the name after the url.
Should it read something like:
bugimg = getImage("http://g.jtrusty.com/JavaApplet/", "LadyBug.gif");
EDIT: I still get the same error, cannot find symbol at getImage.

This is a user to user Forum, so you are not really addressing Adobe here, even though some Adobe employees thankfully have been dropping by.

Concluding something does not work because you fail at using it is not necessarily always justified.
The Quick Selection Tool certainly has limitations, but your post seems to be more about venting than trouble-shooting – otherwise you might have posted an image where you failed to get an expected result.

LG Ally Facebook Sync Does Not Work

Good afternoon,
     The following feature does not work for my phone, and LG Electronics pointed me in the direction of Verizon. Also on a side note, the older version of Facebook that comes with the phone is not uninstallable.
     Under "Accounts & Sync," when I select "Add account," and select Facebook I at first will receive the option to log in to facebook, however it will never sync contacts or Facebook data. When attempting to sync a second time after login, it will just show a blank white screen or nothing at all and return me to the "Accounts & Sync" screen with no change in added accounts. I have upgraded to the newest version of the application, uninstalled everything facebook related on the phone and started from scratch and rebooted/reinstalled with the same result. This is one the main reasons I purchased the phone. Please assist, I would like utilize this feature.
     Another note, the Socialite Facebook version that LG provided works perfectly, however the contacts you cannot edit which pretty much makes the application junk to me.

Same problem here.
Socialite will sync but locks the contacts, and has the further irritation of being unable to load any FB profiles. Hence, no pictures are included. Not even mine.   At this rate, the app would be more aptly named "Anti-Social".
