Facebook chat not available -- Yahoo redirect to password sign-in page

Facebook chat is "unavailable" -- getting a triangle with an exclamation point. In my Yahoo e-mail account I can do nothing but view my e-mails. Any attempt to open an attachment (a pic sent from my phone), clicking on "mail options," sending a help request e-mail to Yahoo, writing an e-mail -- basically anything I do -- sends me to the password sign-in page. Could not log into another e-mail account at Road Runner. Page just flipped crazily back & forth between loading & "read message." However, none of this happens if I use Internet Explorer; everything works fine there. Problem started two days ago. I do not believe I did anything, downloaded anything, nor changed anything right before this happened. Been told by internet carrier to un-install Firefox and re-install. Not opposed to doing this, but will that solve the problem? I sure don't want it to happen again. I have a main password for Firefox and a few other passwords saved. Laptop, running Windows Vista. Anti-virus program is AVG (full paid version). Have disabled some AVG items (tool bar, link-something-or-other) per help suggestions on Firefox site, and this has worked fine for nearly 2 months.

I am using windows authentication in my web application.
My requirement is to implement a sign out button which will sign out the user without having him to close the browser and application should not ask him to login again.
I tried following two options:
1. Redirecting the user to default signout.aspx page " /_layouts/15/SignOut.aspx "
2. Using "Sign In as a different user" URL " /_layouts/15/closeConnection.aspx?loginasanotheruser=true "
In first case, user is redirected to default sign out page but he can press "Go Back to Site" link to revisit the site. Another major issue is that the user has to close the browser to sign out from the application completely, which is not desirable
in my project requirement.
In second case, the the current user is signed out of the application but if the user has saved the password in browser, he gets signed in automatically to the application.
I also came across the solution where we replace the default sign out page with a custom sign out page, but I am not sure whether it can be implemented using JavaScript Client Object Model of SharePoint.

Facebook Chat Not Working Properly For iPhone 4

I recently bought the iPhone for, and am having a pretty annoying problem with the Facebook App.
So, in my Facebook, I have a group for my friends (one group). Now, when I'm on chat for my iPhone, I can not see ANY of those friends in the group online.
I read around a bit, and was advised to try unticking the group, so all my friends were shown in one list.
Did that, but still no luck..can't see people from that original group online.
Any advice?

I've now gone as far as DELETING the list. So now, while on the computer, and under Facebook chat, ALL my friends appear under the same list.
Still have the same problem; can't see the friends from the old list when using my iPhone.

hi, facebook chat is integrated with my messaging, i have checked everything to make sure i am logged in correctly, however even though i know friends are online, its says no one is online. this started about a day ago.

Posting the same thing in 2 threads an hour apart will not get an answer any quicker.
Even though people are online it doesn't mean that they will be shown as online. Everyone has individual privacy settings. There are different settings for 3rd party devices which is what wp7 comes under. Just because they appear online in the Facebook page doesn't mean it will be the same on wp7 messaging.
You could ask them to adjust their privacy settings if it bothers you that much.

Have you tried to check if the Facebook chat setting is enabled under the message thread setting? If yes, have you tried checking the connection on your phone? Were you able to access the web on the phone?

SBA-Mac, you gotta be joking with that reply. In case you are living on another planet, Facebook is a social media tool through which people communicate through wall posts, simple chat and private messages. It has nothing to do with video chat, and you don't need any kind of camera. It works just fine on iPod touch.
For the person who started this thread, you can update your Facebook app by launching App store on your iPod touch, and you will be prompted to update any apps that need to be updated, or open iTunes on your computer, log in with your credentials and click app updates if there are any. Sync your iPod after it's done.

All the sudden facebook chat not working anymore & any friend who appears as an icon on the side i cant send msgs to them!... i cleared the cookies & everything

hi there, my facebook chat all the sudden stopped & when i press on any of my friends icon to talk to it wouldnt appear! even i cant send them any msgs as long i have them as an icon on the side.
i cleared the cookies & the history, checked the jave every thing is working properly.
my second problem that the adobe flash player clashed sometimes, i deleted it & reinstalled it but no help.

Personally, I can report that the chat sidebar works fine for me. However, we can't help you with that particular problem as Facebook provides that particular service.

Safari not opening Yahoo, Google, or You Tube home pages.

Safari, Camino and Firefox will not open Yahoo, Google or Youtube. It says "Safari can’t open the page “http://www.yahoo.com/” because the server unexpectedly dropped the connection. This sometimes occurs when the server is busy. Wait for a few minutes, and then try again." Other websites will open okay. I am running Safari version 5.0.6 and Mac version 10.5.8. I've tried disabling add-ons, resetting the cache, clearing the proxy boxes in network settings with nothing working. These pages open just fine using Chrome. Can anyone help??

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. For instructions, launch the System Preferences application, select Help from the menu bar, and enter “Set up a guest account” (without the quotes) in the search box. Don't use the Safari-only Guest login created by Find My Mac.
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem(s)?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault in Mac OS X 10.7 or later, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The Guest login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Be sure your Mac is shut down.
Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
*Note: If FileVault is enabled under Mac OS X 10.7 or later, or if a firmware password is set, you can’t boot in safe mode.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem(s)?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of steps 1 and 2.

"YouTube Not Available" when I try to sign in?

This just started recently- basically, I try to sign in into YouTube, but it just gives me that dumb message it gives me for other frustrating problems: "YouTube Not Available". Other features work and I'm able to watch videos, etc., but I just can't sign in!

Upgraded from CS5 to CS6 - Serial number not for a qualifying product. Chat not available

I get a page saying "serial number not for a qualifying product. Please try another. " during install. I upgraded from Design Standard CS5 to Design Standard CS6 .
Also, Chat is never available to me. 6 tries to no avail so far.
Any help would be most appreciated or if someone knows how else I can contact Adobe as Chat is never available.

I attempted to reslove via CS chat but was unable to get assitance due to it being "outdated".
In so many words: That's BS. Only support can look into the customer database and they have to sort it out. Contact them again, escalate the case to the next level until you get someone qualified enough to resolve your issue.

Safari/KeyChain Not Saving Yahoo Mail Login/Password information?

I have a MacBook Pro laptop, Mac OSX Version 10.6.8 and Safari browser Version 5.1.7 Snow Leopard. The problem is ... I recently changed my passwords on my Yahoo Mail accounts.   Safari will not prompt to save my login information for Yahoo Mail. It works with other web sites and worked with yahoo mail before I changed passwords.
My attempts to correct the problem have been unsuccessful. I have tried the following:
1. Ran Updates
2. Clicked on Safari > opened Preferences >clicked Auto-Fill all 3 boxes checked
3. Finder >Applications > utilities > KeyChain     I found Yahoo mail and removed the old ones.
4. With KeyChain open > Clicked KeyChain Access > Clicked KeyChain First Aid and Verify    No problems found
5. KeyChain Access> File > New Password Item> Typed in KeyChain item Name as https://login.yahoo.com and tried mail.yahoo.com typed in Information and saved.
I have checked the apple sites, the only thing I have found is what I did in #2. the boxes were already checked.
May be I am missing the obvious here. If there is a solution I would appreciate the help. ?

I'm having the exact same issue with Yahoo only on my iMac after changing the password. I've been trying to fix it since yesterday, and yes I'm updated. I also tried several fixes for the trojan. Not luck for me yet.
Corrections Completed for Safari 5.1.7:
1- verified all updates completed
2- deleted cookies for everything
3- deleted keychain access for yahoo account. Interesting is that after deleting cookies and keychain, the username and old password keep populating but it hasn't stored the new password because I never received the prompt to store.

So I'm trying to get livechat to work on a (on warranty) slate I need to send in for repair, but it doesn't work. It looks like an option I can use, but nothing happens when I try to use it.I'd much rather an online way of contact because I tend to be very nervous and uncomfortable on the phone.(I tried on IE and Chrome, so far) (for the record, a piece seems to be loose in the charging dock, therefore I can't charge the tablet.)
