Facebook does not react anymore since this Update?

With Google Chrome and Safari facebook does not react anymore.
Chrome gives server error
Safari is blank.
May be it has eo do with Facebook but it happened just after this update...?!

Given the lack of discussions, it's likely that there's something isolated within your configuration or your network connection. (This'd likely be producing mass panic, if it were a general problem.)
I've intentionally blocked FB here via local means, so I'm not in a position to test the connection.
Did you use any of the third-party Flashback removal tools? If so, which one?
Do you have any network-filtering, anti-malware or other security packages installed?
Is your DNS setting aimed at your ISP DNS servers, or at the Google DNS 8.8.8.8 servers?

To me, in all such updates, goes without saying maybe: backup, repair permissions, repair your drive (Disk Warrior does more reliable and thorough job, and it comes out to pennies if you don't wait until needed). Clone your system so you can restore or use the backup - just in case.
I'd even do a fresh format after your clone is done and do a full OS clean install and update, and then a quick import from Setup Assistant.

I'm going to assume there is something with the partitions on the drive, partition table most likely, though I know I've seen others with that error message - doesn't really point to cause, rarely does (make sure latest firmware update etc is sometimes included but again, we know that isn't why).

Device does not react anymore: flashing and busy

For an unclear reason my Blackberry Curve started to show a white screen for 3 seconds, than black, (LED red) and it continues doing that.
Even removing the battery for hours and putting it back in does not solve the problem, it remains to react like this.
Can somebody please help?

Thanks for the hint but I am still stuck.
If I follow the recommended steps in the article, I can connect the device easily, then it starts the update with Erasing applications, Loading System SW, but then it tries to reconnect to the JVM and this fails since after previous steps it is still in an endless loop.
I was thinking I need to be able to wipe the memory and found JL_Cmder, tried the Wipe there and after about 50 times or retrying I could reboot it with error 507 and then ran the app loader again with v4.5. Succesful, but after that, a couple of minutes later it started to endless loop again... tried again about 50 times to wipe it with JL_Cmder but was not as lucky as before...
This is quite frustrating.. I spent hours on this already and I really wonder if there aren't any better tools available for capturing this...
I hope somebody can still provide me with some more info...

I-Mac does not startup anymore since a power failure.

My I-Mac does not start up anymore since there was a general power failure in house.
After power came back I disconnected the power cord for 1 hour and thereafter tried again.
No results.
What can I do now ?

One thing to remember, after the computer has been unplugged for a while and then you plug it in, WAIT for maybe 10 or more seconds before you try to start. I have had a few ocassions where going directly from plug in to power button would not bring the computer up.
Just for info, what happens when you HOLD the "Apple" key also called Command Key before powering up and continuing to hold it for maybe 30 seconds? That should bring up a list of all available boot sources. That would include a Recovery Partition which would then allow you to do a permissions repair (via disk utility) and Verify disk.
You could also hold the "T" key while booting up until a "Y" Firewire symbol appears on the screen. That would convert your computer into an external Firewire drive which could be plugged in via a Firewire cable, to another MAC and let you retrieve files from your computer's hard drive.
Both of these options are based on the power supply and logic board still working. If you do not get those indications, then a trip to the repair center is probably in order.

Sync-client of E61 does not react anymore

Hello,
the connection to my E61 is fine: SMS, Contacts and all other data can be exchanged between my Windows XP via BT very well.
Only when I try to triger the sync the 7.0.9.2 PC-Suite from the XP-side my phone seems not to realize, that the PC wants to sync.
To duplicate the syn profile on the E61and then syncing from the E61 to the PC works!
I remember that the first time I synced, a little application (the pc-suite-client?) has been installed on the phone.
I think when this step can be repeated I can solve the problem.
But how can I do this? The pc-suite-client is not a normal symbian program, therefore I can not deinstall it.

i did the new itunes update a short time ago and now i cant open it at all???????????? please help

Can you check something for me please?
Restart your PC. after the PC restarts, bring up your Task manager, and go to the "Processes" tab. Click "Image name" to sort the processes alphabetically.
Now try to launch iTunes.
Does an itunes.exe process appear? If so, does it vanish after a second or so, or does it persist in the Processes tab (even though iTunes itself never shows up)?

Customized Help does not work anymore after patch update.

Our ECC system have a customized help (SAP Main Menu -> Help -> Company Help). It stoped working after the kernel upgrade. What do you think made it stop working.
I tried to update also the sapgui patch to 21 but still the help would not work.

[iPhone] view does not react

Hey,
i created a view programmaticaly and want to implement some more functionality. Since a few days, my view does not react anymore to events, except for memory warnings and the rotation of the phone. If i touch a textfield for instance, there is no keyboard showing. It is impossible to scroll, but scrolling is enabled as is userInteraction.
Anyone knows this kind of problem and has some ideas? Just tell me what you think might be the reason. Thanks.

OSX: Connecting to admin session not working anymore since 8.0.12

It seems to me that connecting to console session does not work anymore since the recent update to 8.0.12. Had no troubles before the update, now it does not connect to the console session but a normal one. Please fix this.

Thanks for your reply. I mixed up terms. I cannot connect to the "admin session", in my last message I used the term "console session", sorry about that. Connecting works, but it connects normally instead of the admin session. Checkbox
"Connect to admin sesssion" is active.

Homekey does not react

hi there,
after installing the new 5.1 os the homekey does not react anymore.
reboot, restore, anything - the problem is still the same.
what can i do?

- If you restored to factory settings/new iPod and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem. An appointment at the genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Ever since updating to OS 10.10.3, my iTunes does not open anymore!

Ever since I updated to 10.10.3, my iTunes does not open anymore.
I have restarted my computer, and tried to open it again but it did nothing. I installed iTunes again and also did not help. Opening iTunes from the application folder in Finder did nothing, as well as opening it from the launchpad did not help.
The app does not even bounce up and down in the dock, it just does nothing.
I think I have tried almost all basic methods. Is there anything else I can do?!

Mac os 10.4.10 software update problem -- my mac does not work anymore :(

i have a powerbook G4- PPC. just today, i did a software update of my OS to 10.4.10 (it was the available update version according to the automatic uptae) and during the final stage of the installation, it says "a problem was encountered...installation package is moved to trash"
when i browsed my mac, my apps does not work anymore!!! they just bounce from the dock when i clicked it but it won't open any window. i emptied the trash and restarted my mac but sadly, it just boot but won't continue to the log in part, only in the silver window with the apple logo and mac os x tiger... and the mouse just turns into the color wheel. i waited for 30 mins and nothing happened.
i don't have a startup disc because the mac is a gift and it was long time ago. is ther a software i can use to fix or revert the changes of the unsuccessful OS update? why is there always a problem when i do OS update? isn't apple software stable?

There are no guarantees, but following this procedure when installing updates and upgrades on your Mac will go a long way towards avoiding unpleasant after effects and ‘post-update stress disorder’.
It is also worth noting that it is an extreme rarity for updates to cause upsets to your system, but they may well reveal pre-existing ones, particularly those of which you may have been unaware. If you are actually aware of any glitches, make sure they are fixed before proceeding further.
So before you do anything else:
If you can, make a full backup first.
Turn off sleep mode for both screen and hard disk.
1. Repair Permissions (in Disk Utility)
2. Verify the state of your hard disk using Disk Utility. If any faults are reported, restart from your install disk (holding down the C key), go to Disk Utility, and repair your startup disk. Restart again to get back to your startup disk.
At least you can now be reasonably certain that your system does not contain any obvious faults that might cause an update/upgrade to fail.
3. Download the correct version of the COMBO update from the Apple download site. If your car runs on gasoline you would not want to fill the tank with diesel, so don’t try to install the PPC updater on an Intel Mac!
If you prefer to download updates via Software Update in the Apple menu (which would ensure that the correct version for your Mac was being downloaded), it is not recommended to allow SU to install major (or even minor) updates automatically. Set Software Update to just download the updater without immediately installing it. There is always the possibility that the combined download and install (which can be a lengthy process) might be interrupted by a power outage or your cat walking across the keyboard, and an interrupted install will almost certainly cause havoc. Once it is downloaded, you can install at a time that suits you. You should make a backup copy of the updater on a CD in case you ever need a reinstall.
Using the Combo updater ensures that all system files changed since the original 10.4.0 are included, and any that may have been missed out or subsequently damaged will be repaired. The Delta updater, although a temptingly smaller download, only takes you from the previous version to the new one, i.e. for example from 10.4.9 to 10.4.10. Software Update will generally download the Delta updater only. The preferable Combo updater needs to be downloaded from Apple's download site.
Now proceed as follows:
4. Close all applications.
5. Unplug all peripherals except your keyboard and mouse.
6. Install the update/upgrade. Do not under any circumstances interrupt this procedure. Do not do anything else on your computer while it is installing. Be patient.
7. When it ask for a restart to complete the installation, click restart. This can take longer than normal, there are probably thousands of files to overwrite and place in the correct location. Do nothing while this is going on.
8. Once your Mac is awake, repair permissions again, and you should be good to go!
If your Mac seems slightly sluggish or ‘different’, perform a second restart. It can’t hurt and is sometimes efficacious!
9. Open a few of your most used applications and check that all is OK. In this connection please remember that not all manufacturers of third party applications and plug-ins, add-ons, haxies etc, will have had time to do any necessary rewrites to their software to make them 10.4.10. compliant. Give them a weeks or two while you regularly check their websites for updates. This applies particularly to plug-ins for Safari 3.
N.B. Do not attempt to install two different updates at the same time as each may have different routines and requirements. Follow the above recommendations for each update in turn.

Update 10.5.6: external HD used for Time Machine does not MOUNT anymore

I've used this LaCie external Little Big Disk since November 2007 with Time Machine, without problems. Recently, after updating to OS 10.5.6, the disk does not mount anymore when connected by FireWire800. Same result when using FW400 and USB.
The disk shows up in the System Profiler under FireWire. When I run analysis with a program 'Data Rescue II', it also sees the disk.
Main issue: disk does not mount anymore. So no more TM backups possible.
Although the disk also shows up in Disk Utilities, I can't partition or reformat it. I ran the LaCie Update Tool 2.0.1 and it says firmware is up-to-date.
I also reinstalled the Combo Update 10.5.6 without result. Also did all the forum recommendations such as resetting PRAM and using Terminal to 'mount /dev/xxx'. Does not help.
I feel this is an Apple issue.

Yes, did it three times. Also already hooked up in daisy chain, and yes, also connected to another Mac (also 10.5.6). Same result. I think it's an OS 10.5.6 issue, because it happened after the update and I had never problems in the last year using this disk with TM (it's not full either). I hope it's not, however, but I am afraid it is. Also I've posted the issue at LaCie support and see what they answer.

After updating from Mac OS 10.9.0 to 10.9.1 the program Trim Enabler does not work anymore and my 4 SSDs from Samsung and Kingston are no longer supported.
What can I do?
Should I scrap my SSDs?
Why does Apple do such things?
Will Apple that I switch to Windows? There Trim works with all SSDs and BluRay will not boycott!

Apple does not support TRIM for SSDs that were not factory
installed and TRIM Enabler is a hack to get around this. Any
hack is always subject to being disabled, or worse, with any
