Facebook doesn't have all facilities on iPad that it does on MacBook/iMac
When on facebook on the iPad it doesnt show who in your friends list is online, nor is the facility to instantly chat with them.
Also when viewing the window with the list of your friends, the facility to scroll doesn't work, it moves the whole page up or down rather than the list of friends within the separate window, so you can only view the first half a dozen or so of your contacts.
Anyone have any answers/solutions to this?
The way to do it is to go to news feed, this has your online contacts on the right hand side, when in panorama.
It's the first time I have found the answer so happy to be famous!

I attempted to install WSUS a while back. I was prompted to reboot to complete the role install, and so I did, and saw the role was not there. The install had failed somewhere. I decided not bother with WSUS.
However, the server still thinks that WSUS is installed, and the workstations all think the server has it (Even though there isn't any GPO deployed to say so). Because of this, I am unable to install Windows Updates on any of the machines, or on
the server.
Server: Windows Server 2012 R2
Clients: Windows 8.1 Pro

we can see that this machine has contacted WU.com, and is encountering transient communication errors, retrying, then giving up.
We can also see that range-requests are being attempted. There were some issues identified with certain content-cache/accelerators/proxies, which affected range-requests via HTTP 1.1 (from memory).
We can also see 8024402c errors (NAME_NOT_RESOLVED), during connection retry.
We can see that a search-for-updates began, contacted the webservice, and that detect-sessions seemed fine. Problem seems to be getting the update packages downloaded successfully.
Are any of the client machines able to be used on a direct internet connection, for WindowsUpdate.com, as a test?

If you transfer any iTunes content to the iPhone from an iTunes library on another computer, all iTunes content on the iPhone will be erased first with a warning message provided indicating this beforehand.
Authorize the different computer with your Apple ID with iTunes. With your iPhone connected and without syncing, right click on the iPhone under Devices in the iTunes source list and at the menu window that appears, select Transfer Purchases. This will transfer all apps on your iPhone to the iTunes library. -

BudSteinerIf you purchased all of the songs through itunes store, please follow these steps:
1. Open up Itunes and Click on Itunes Store
2. Once you're in the Itunes Store look to right side of the screen and you should see the word "purchased". Click purchased and you'll be sent to a purchase screen.
3. Click on "All Songs" and then it will show all the songs you've downloaded. From there you just hit the button that looks like a cloud with an arrow on it, and it will download all the songs all over again.
If you didn't purchase them through Itunes, then you'll have to download software that will strip the songs from your iPod onto your computer. And here is a guide about how to transfer ipod songs. Hope it helps. Feel free to email me if you need further help. -
I have photos on my iPad that I want to delete. The problem is I don't have access to the computer used to sync them. It was my ex husbands computer and iTunes account. Is there any other way to delete them?

Had to restore my computer and now have music on the iPad that I would like to transfer back to the computer. How do I do this? (Operating system is Windows Vista)
This depends, if the music was purchased on the iTunes store you can transfer purchases. If it was not then you would need a 3rd party program in order to rip these files to the computer.

when i 'upgraded' to Mavericks, it locked me out and shut down my computer. now it won't print from my Epson Stylus CX3810. Epson doesn't have the driver to download and neither does the App store. Suggestions?
I'm having similar problems with my Epson Stylus DX5000. There was no in-built driver available (the generic old and new Stylus drivers didn't work), so downloaded the latest driver from Epson site. It shows as being available to print to, but just sends data to the print queue then job disappears.
I hope you're right C F McBlob, I could do with printing today but if there are new drivers available from November 5, then so be it. -

If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.

Thanks planb77. Your instructions worked but I had to do a little more than you stated. I did not realize that transferring files to a new computer was not enough. When the iPod synced I was told I needed to "authorize" my new computer to get my iTunes purchases to sync to the iPod. So after the initial sync, I ejected and disconnected the iPod, went into the iTunes store, set up "home sharing" and then authorized the new computer. When that was done I reconnected the iPod and was able to sync all my books and music. The only thing I couldn't do was rename the iPod as iTunes never asked me to. Is there a way to rename it after it has been set by iTunes as "owner's iPod"?
