i can't use Facebook for Android, as the FB for HTC Sense keeps overriding it. is there a way to disable the FB for HTC Sense to use the FB for Android app?

Try Stopping the Facebook for HTC Sense Application in the background.
Option 1:
1. Select Menu > Settings > Applications.
2. If the application is not listed, press Menuand select Filter > All.
3. Select the app.
4. Tap Force Stop.
Stock applications on the device can not be removed.
To remove applications:
Go to: Menu - Settings - Applications - Manage Applications - (Choose the Application) App - Uninstall.

Best way to preview AIR for Android projects for different devices?

So if I am developing an AIR for Android app, is there a good, simple way to preview the app on any android device? I have installed it on my phone of course, but is there a simulator/emulator of some sort available so we can see how it would look on both an Android phone and a tablet? DPI aside, you can just set your resolution on the project to the target devices resolution to preview how it will look. While vectors will render much smoother on the device (higher DPI), it's a very easy way to target various resolutions for testing.
If you have the full CC suite you might want to consider using Flash Builder 4.7 which has many different device presets and allows you to create your own presets to mimic tablets and phones. It really depends how complex your project is to move over to FB.

Is livecycle rights management provide support for android(mobile) for protection and viewing file securely- interms of API/SDK or App?

I have gone through the rights management flow of Livecycle for microsoft office extension.
However, was interested to know about is there any app or SDKs supported by livecycle on mobile devices(android).
Case study of rights management shows that live cycle has deployed and offered solutions in mobile devices using SDKs. However, couldn't find any resources or documents regarding the same.

Ok, that means live cycle (in mobile devices) is protecting only pdf documents at this point of time.
So what about in the PC and MAC ? Live cycle has the capability to protect and consume/view office or other documents?
Also is there any plans to support files/documents(apart from pdf) in the android(mobile) devices?

Aren't you seeing Adobe AIR in market of your device? Please be aware that Adobe AIR is available only for ARMv7 devices.
By "other" markets do you mean a modified market application on device, or outside of device market?
What is your use case of finding the Runtime out of market?

Not abel to find generate code option for android

we have SUP 2.1 ESD #1 implemented in our environment and trying to generate the code for android platform for whihc we are not to find in the option in SDK. when we try yo generate the code in SDk we are abel to find it for IOS, BB platfoms and not for android. after applying EBF 19762 restarted the server and still we are not able to see it.
we wanted to know how to generate the code for android mobilre?

from the experience implementing SAP GUI for Java with as much functionality as possible on the Java platform, it is expected to be a major effort to implement a useful and functional "SAP GUI" for Android or for any other Mobile OS.
Given the very different user experience on mobile device including tablets, the "port" would also not provide the expected user experience. The same result you can achieve by using a remote solution like proposed earlier in this thread.
However what would you think about a set of dedicated "ABAP controls for Mobile", which are controlled by ABAP code using a framework similar to the SAP GUI controls like tree, grid etc., but designed to fit to mobile device, both in terms of user experience and available resoures (e.g. different screen resolutions). Writing a mobile app that way would mean only writing ABAP code (neither mobile platform code nor HTML5) and the result would be rendered on the mobile device by a native client, let's say for Android, iOS, and maybe other (still) relevant or yet to become relevant Mobile OSes in the future.
What would you think about this approach and what would be your requirements?

Can't connect to Facebook for HTC Sense

So I stopped receiving updates for my contacts from facebook on my Droid Incredible (no updated profile pics, no status updates from linked contacts, etc.). Logging into facebook worked just fine from the facebook app. In my attempt to logout and log back in I think I ended up doing a remove account. Whoops.(I know just enough to be dangerous). Now I can't readd the Facebook for HTC Sense account. How do I get it back?
I tried to create the account with the email and password that I normally use. I get a text message saying that my facebook account was accessed by an HTC Sense device and then the Sign In never finishes...it just hangs.

Why was Facebook for HTC Sense re-enabled in 4.4.3 update, and why can it no longer be disabled in app manger?

Many of us who disabled Facebook for HTC Sense in 4.4.2 have been unpleasantly surprised to find the 4.4.3 update has re-enabled that app/service, and unlike with 4.4.2 the box to disable it (in app manager -> all) is now greyed out, and unselectable.
Why was this this app forced upon us? (Yes, we can temporarily force stop it, but that doesn't last long as it can re-enable itself - even before the phone is restarted or rebooted).
If Verizon doesn't want upset m8 customers it should put out an update to the 4.4.3 update that allows us to permanently disable Facebook for HTC Sense once again.

I completely agree. I have ZERO interest in using Facebook and that was the first app I disabled when I bought my phone. I am very disappointed to hear that Facebook is being forced back on us with the new 4.4.3 update. I am not comfortable with rooting yet, or I would do that so I could uninstall this and every other piece of Verizon bloatware that I do not want. It is my phone, right?? I distinctly remember using my money to pay for it! I also don't have a lot of confidence that the instructions on rooting are completely up to date to account for any issues or speed bumps, especially for first-timers like myself.
Interesting also how Verizon's release notes don't mention this "helpful feature."

Facebook for HTC Sense

Some of my friends aren't showing up on the Facebook for HTC Sense list so I can't link them to my google contacts. It looks like most of them show up but some (including my wife) don't show up. Any ideas?

Here's my issue: Facebook Friends=n ; Facebook for HTC Sense Friends=n-1
I'm missing one contact and can't figure out how to get it to show up.

Facebook for HTC sense sync error

For the past month the Facebook for HTC sense sync has been telling me "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly." But it has not fixed itself and will not sync with any of my contacts. I've tried removing it and adding it back on and it still will not work. Is there anyway to fix this?

It's an HTC problem I've noticed it also. No fix other than HTC fixing on their end. You could try to log out, then back in? I just ignore it.

Facebook for HTC Sense not syncing with facebood profiles

I had to have a factory reset on my incredible and now my contact list will not sync with facebook and pull in the profile pics for my contacts on my phone that have facebook accounts. When I go to settings-acounts&sync-sync all, Facebood for HTC Sense does not seem to sync. Does anyone know what I should do?

I understand your concerns. It is inconvenient when our phones act differently after a factory reset. What software version are you running? Did you get the latest update for your Incredible?
Please ensure that you have the latest software version installed as the first troubleshooting step to resolve your concerns. If you have updated to the latest software version and issue started after the update please keep in mind that it is normal for your phone to function differently after a software update and this may just be the way the new software version works.

Authorize HTC Sense for Facebook...stuck in notification bar

I checked my privacy settings on facebook and everything looks okay there, and every time I click on the "Authorize HTC Sense..." notification, it sends me to my news feed on the facebook app. Doesn't ask for any more info. And the notification remains in the notification bar. And I can't clear it out or slide it off. What the heck is going on?

You may just need to clear cache and data for the HTC Facebook app. Sometimes the data doesn't transfer well through updates.

Facebook for Android "notifications" error

Forgive me if this has been asked already (searched forums and didn't find anything similar). I am a first time user of the HTC Droid Incredible. I have got everything setup well but Facebook for Android is givning me a error on just Notifications. When I enter the app, everything else loads fine but notifications fail to load and give me an error, "Socket Not Connected". I can have 100% signal strength and still gives this error. Sync is on (not sure if that matters). Just odd that everything else is up to date and works fine but just notifications fails. Any advice on this error? Thanks in advance.

not sure. but fyi....i don't care for the app so i just use the mobile site (m.facebook.com). it works MUCH better than the app. i just created a shortcut to it and haven't used the app since.
