Facebook for Curve will not display a "Run" option

Hi
I have tried everything to get this to work. But the facebook app will not work on my blackberry. When selected I can only see options to see reviews, screenshoots, and featured view. No other options exist. I think its because unlike other apps, I don't have the option to run on install and therefore see and accept the terms of service page. I have tried deleted, downloading from various sources etc etc. Nobody seems able to help.
Anybody any clues on this one?

Hi, thanks for the response.
We have a voice and data package with O2, and other data services seem to work fine. E.g. Ebay and BeWeather Apps work fine as does normal internet browsing. That said, Blackberry Messenger does not work in the same way as the facebook app - i.e. it will not give you a "run" option.
Is BIS a specific data service different to that you may get from the provider? And does that give you access to a broader set of data services?

Hi Gurus, we are currently set up to display attached documents using IXOS Live Viewer, but only a select number of users have this viewer due to licensing, etc.
The problem is, we have requirements for other users to display attachments in FI documents who do not have IXOS Live Viewer and therefore they are not able to display the attachments because of this. Since we will not pay for more live viewer licences, there must be a way to tell SAP to use the standard windows viewers installed on the machine, if the first choice (Live viewer) isn't installed? I have looked through the customizing for this answer, and I think I've found where it's configured to use live viewer, but I dont' know how to config it to use something else, if live viewer isn't available. Your help would be much appreciated.

It is my understanding that the IXOS licensing is based on users retrieving of documents not necessarily the viewer so the licensing implications of having non-IXOS viewers accessing documents using the generic archivelink viewer is still likely to result in licensing implications if an audit is conducted at any stage.
The transaction for specifying the viewer is the OAA3 and OAG4.

Icons files will not displaying when running web-based forms locally

My icon files (jpgs) are not displaying from within Forms Developer 10g or when I run the web-based forms from within Developer. I have tried the following without success:
6.4 Deploy Icons for Forms Running on Web
Option One: For Running Web Based Forms from Within the Forms Builder in Oracle 10g Developer Suite
1) Copy all the icon image files (*.jpg) to the directory of <Oracle_10g_Developer_Suite_Installation_Root_Dir>\forms\j2ee\formsapp\formsweb\icons
2) Make sure to set imageBase=DocumentBase in the file < Oracle_10g_Developer_Suite_Installation_Root_Dir >\forms\server\formsweb.cfg.
3) Edit the < Oracle_10g_Developer_Suite_Installation_Root_Dir >\forms\java\oracle\forms\registry\Registry.dat file, specify the icon image file extension by modifying the following line:
default.icons.iconepath=icons/
default.icons.iconextension=jpg
Save this Registry.dat file.
4) Restart the OC4J Instance.
5) Launch the form from Forms Builder.
I just got a new laptop and am setting everything up again. I have everything setup the same way as on my old machine (same as above). It worked fine on my old computer but not on the new one.

try to create jar file for u r all jpgs but also u have to check the size of u r images
and if possible try to resave the same images by using Acdsee or use any other image viewer softwares.

Blackberry Curve will not display Public Library Pictures

My BB Curve has recently just stopped displaying the pictures in my public picture library. All other folders are good. When I click on the folder all the pictures are dark or simply have the little icon. What is the fix? Thank you.

Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

Safari Beta 3 for Mac Will Not Display Pages

I am a Web designer who evaluates my work in various Web browsers, and I decided that I wanted to see how Safari 3 will deal with some of my designs. I installed the beta of Safari 3 on my PowerBook this morning. The install went fine, but when I try to get Safari to load any pages, it displays a blank screen. The progress bar shows the page loading but then...nothing.
I have downgraded back to Safari 2 and it is working fine on my machine.
Any ideas as to why Safari 3 won't render pages or if there is a preference I need to rebuild to make it work properly?

Hi David,
I had the same problem, but after reading up a bit, it seems like the issue (in my case anyway) is caused by any Input Managers installed (home/library/input managers).
For me, it was SafariTidy, but there are other culprits as well... remove any items you have in there and see if that helps!

My Facebook home page will not display my profile photo in Firefox but still does in IE. How can I fix this?

Since installing the new Firebox I have been unable to get my Facebook profile photo to appear. The same goes for the profile pics of FB friends in the chat list.

You can use these steps to check if images are blocked:
* Open the web page that has the images missing in a browser tab.
* Click the website favicon ([[Site Identity Button]]) on the left end of the location bar.
* Click the "More Information" button to open the "Page Info" window with the Security tab selected (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").
* Go to the Media tab of the "Tools > Page Info" window.
* Select the first image link and scroll down through the list with the Down arrow key.
* If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "Block Images from..." then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

Newly created images will not display in Firefox 8 for Mac. Same images appear in other browsers. Why?

1. Specific new images are uploaded but will not display in Firefox 8 on my Mac with OS 10.6.8. (Does appear in other browsers, e.g., Chrome and Opera, and appears on Firefox 8 for PC.) Also, other images on the page display.
2. I have cleared cache, cookies, etc., in Recent History, and restarted both application and computer.
3. I've tried creating GIF, JPG and PNG, but none show on the page in Firefox on my Mac. I can see the offending image in other browsers such as Chrome on the same computer, and on Firefox on PC. I am going to buy a mac mini i7 with 3 thunderbolt displays for forex trading. the question is if i use bootcamp and run windows on the mac mini will the displays still run the same way as if i was running it on Lion?

No idea if Windows will do it, but you can run Windows without Bootcamp & have OSX available at the same time, which should give you all the Monitors that OSX uses.

See if this helps .... Reset the iPad.
Hold down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears - ignore the red slider bar - let go of the buttons and let the iPad start up. Then check your emails.

Copy ALL contents of SD card to a folder on edit hard drive. not just video clips, everything. Then in Premiere, import using Media Browser (tab at lower left of Premiere screen). This usually does the trick. There is metadata contained in the SD card files that is needed, not just the video clips alone.

I suggest you visit Lexmark web site and download and install drivers for your exact printer manually.

From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click: Remove All Website Data
Then delete the cache.
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If nothing above helped, troubleshoot Safari extensions.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.
