Facebook friends birthdays synced to notification center?

I have already synced my fb friends Bdays to my calendar but I want them to show up in the Notification Center.  I can't seem to get them to show up.  :(

When you install iOS 7 you need to sync the fb friends birthday once again but delete the old one first.
You would have done it in iOS 6 but after installing iOS7 you have to sync it one more time though it will show it in calender.

    Hi,
I downloaded Mountain Lion and can neither see the Twitter nor the Facebook menu items in the notification center. Any suggestions about what can I do to see both Twitter and Facebook menus at the top in the noticiation center as is supposed to be according to the Mountain Lion features video that Apple has posted on its website.
    Thanks,

  • Facebook friends' birthdays

I have integrated my Facebook account with my contacts data on my iOS 6 iPhone. It works pretty well, however I would like to disable my Facebook's friends birthdays showing up in my notification center. When I tap Calendars button in the Calendar app I uncheck Facebook Birthdays, yet they still show up in Notification Center. Do I miss somethng here or is it a bug? I have my Calendar turned OFF in main Settings > Facebook as well. I would be grateful for your help.

  • Facebook and birthdays sync

While I like the ability to have my facebook friends information integrated into my apps (things like email and such can be useful to access offline) I don't necessarily want ALL their birthdays showing up on my ical.  That is sacred space which I would like to keep uncluttered as much as possible!  Is there a workaround which would allow me to select only some of the birthdays to appear?  I can't seem to simply delete the birthday information of a facebook contact from the address book.  Any thoughts on how I could only have keep my "real" friend's birthdays in ical?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
I suggest you try my application Dates to iCal.
Dates to iCal 2 is a replacement for Apple's birthday calendar for iCal. It has a range of features to allow the user to choose what, and what not, to sync to iCal from Address Book. As well as automatically syncing birthday dates from Address Book, Dates to iCal 2 can sync anniversary and custom dates. It can set up to five alarms for each date in iCal and can also set different alarms for birthdays and anniversaries. It allows the option of only syncing from one Address Book group.
It is shareware, you can try it for free 2 weeks before needing a £4 registration code.
    Best wishes

  • Facebook Share from Safari and Notification Center Not Working

So, for a couple of days now I haven't been able to share a website to Facebook using the share button in Safari or post a status update via the Notification Center. I do not recieve any sort of error messages. Nothing happens at all when I click on the necessary buttons to post or share. I do get Facebok notifications that show up as a banner and also in the notification center. Here's what I've done:
    - deleted and readded my Facebook account in Mail, Contacts, & Calendars in the System Prefrences Pane
    - Reset Safari
    - Cleared all website data from Safari
    - Tried in a different user - Issue Persisted (so, it seems to be a system wide problem)
I'm not sure what else I can do. I am definitely logged in with all the correct data for Facebook. I did do the software update last week (10.8.3) but am unsure whether it worked after installing it. Any ideas?

Try booting into the Safe Mode.  Shut down the computer and then power it back up. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.

  • Put all my Facebook friends birthdays on my Calendar.app for free ?

How can I add my friends birthdays on the Calendar.app ?
    If possible, for free.
    Thanks,
    Lucas Farah

Have you tried closing the app completely and seeing whether it works properly when you re-open it ? From the home screen (i.e. not with the scrabble apps 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • How to permanently get rid of Facebook in Notification Center?

    Hello,
I'm growing incredibly frustrated of the Facebook notifications in Yosemite.  I've followed all directions to turn them off.  I've dragged Facebook to the 'Not In Notification Center' area.  I've also selected 'None' in 'Facebook alert style' and unchecked 'Shot notifications on lock screen' as well as 'Show in Notification Center'.
Yet, every time I restart my computer, Facebook notifications start littering my desktop and, sure enough, all the preferences I set for it have been reset and it's back in my Notification Center.
If anyone can tell me how to simply delete Facebook from Notification Center all together, I'd be thrilled.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Let me know if it works... You can add facebook in internet acounts again later if you want it...
It might reset the settings.. And may solve the problem anyhow...
i.e. you might want birthdays on your calendar for example...
Personally I dont like facebook junk cluttered on my email. However dont mind facebook notifications for facebook chat...
I dont know if your notification center also clutters you with other rubbish... Like facebook notifications that are not private chat... Mine doesnt... I think i had set the facebook settings a while ago not to spam all the rubbish facebook sends.

  • Facebook and Twitter status buttons in notification center?

    Hi Apple community,
I was messing around on my ipad mini with iOS 7 today and noticed that I cannot update my Facebook and Twitter status from notification center. Does anyone know how to turn this feature back on or if it was done away with iOS 7 altogether?

    Hey, thanks for the reply.
Yes, Facebook and Twitter are defined & enabled. I'm able to send out Tweets and Post to Facebook from Notification Centre.

  • Unselected calenders in the notification center

    Dear Apple Community,
I'm having a problem with my unselected calenders, which appear, even unselected in the notification center.
Here is what I wrote (via iPhone feedback) to Apple:
    "Dear Apple,
since iOS 5 (I hope it would be fixed with iOS 6, it wasn't) I see my girlfriends, via iCloud shared, calenders + my Facebook Events & Birthdays in the notification center even if these calenders are unselected in my calender app.
On my MacBook Pro (Mountain Lion 10.8.2) it works like it should. Unselected calenders aren't shown in my notification center. I also want this for iOS 6!
    Please fix this annoying issue."
    Any ideas for a fix?
In advance I thank you for your help!

    No ideas?

  • Can't disable FB, Twitter and LinkedIn from Notification Center

Hi everyone, here is my "issue".
I disabled Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn from notification center (their account are still enabled).
Anyway, every time I reboot, they come back enabled bothering me with notifications.
Is there a way to permanently disable them even after reboots?
    Many thanks!

I want my account on notification center.
and Eric, I did that already, I delelted his account and still have it on notification.
I also added my one already, and notification center shows my one and his one together. I don't know why.

  • Notification Center ignoring Calendar defaults

Small quirk, but this appears to be a bug in Notification Center.
If Calendars are set to display in the Notification Center, it appears that the Notification Center displays all calendars -- even if the default in the Calendar program itself is to only display certain limited calendars.
For example, by default, in the Calendar application, I never have the "Birthdays" calendar view set to display.  However, Notification Center appears to ignore that preference.  Birthdays appear in Notification Center, and there does not appear to be any way to suppress unwanted calendar views.
Any workarounds or just a bug that will need to await a fix?

Me too. All I see is that I have one all-day event scheduled for tomorrow.
Instead of telling me that how about telling me what the event is?

  • How do I unlink my friend's Facebook account and my notification center?

My notification center keeps receiving notifications from my friend's Facebook page. I have logged her out from all of my web browsers, but I am still receiving her notifications. I would like to know how to unlink her page from my notification center, for her privacy's sake.

    this thing works:
Just go into "Settings"  and click on "Internet Accounts"  (it looks like the @ sign) and then click on Facebook and click the minus  sign at he bottom.  It will delete the account and it will get rid of the notifications.  Then to add your own personal account, click the plus sign and you can use your own log in....
