Facebook games take forever to load and all 'items' never show on screen

i have updated to Firefox (safe mode), have updated flash player and have gone through pages and pages of help articles, but any and all of my facebook games (farmville, petville, farmtown, etc.) take forever to load and after loaded move extremely slowly AND never load fully. Only 1/10 of actual "items" ever load. When I click on the normal things I have to "perform" when playing the game, it takes effect minutes later, never immediately as normal and buildings, gifts, etc., never let me use them at all.....

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

It's likely that your Library database has been damaged in all the crashing.
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • My hp notebook 2000 takes forever to load and turn on, moves slow and sometimes cut off

My pc takes forever to load, runs super slow and cuts off occasionally. I constantly have to recover it and that still don't seem to change a thing... is there anything else i can do to make my pc run the way it used too. I just bought it from Wal-Mart brand new last year August. I don't have music or movies or anything downloaded to it so I don't understand what's going on with it. Please help.

Enter BIOS setup by tapping/holding the F10 key immediately after powering on the laptop.Use Diagnostics to test your hard drive & memory.
If you don't have these options in BIOS you should have System Diagnostics accessed immediately after powering on the laptop by tapping the F2 key.

  • My mail on iMac is not working properly. Click on email, it hangs, showing previous email. Takes forever to load. "No message selected" showing in a blank screen

My mail is not working properly: when I click on an email it hangs, frequently showing the previous email, often for up to a minute. Or it shows "loading" and just sits there showing nothing. OR there is a blank screen saying "no message selected". It's slow to load, and I'm not happy. Recently switched from Windows PC, not impressed so far. Very frustrating.
Any suggestions would be gratefully received. (I upgraded to Mountain LIon, and don't think I had problems before I did so, though I hadn't had the computer for long.)

    Hi Sarah,
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.

  • HT1338 I can't play the Facebook games on my mac mini, It takes forever to load and its not moving pass  a certain percentage

I can't play the facebook games. It keeps stalling.

Mac Minis don't run iOS.  It would help to know what Mac OS X version you have, and the Machine ID  whether it is PowerMac x,y or Mac Mini x,y and and the x,y values.   Please do not give us your serial number as that is the key to your warranty.

  • The games on Facebook either take forever to load or when they do, they hang-up. What do I do?

I love playing Zuma Blitz and other games on Facebook, but it now takes literally forever to load the games and when they're finally loaded I play once and they hang-up. I have played using Internet Exployer 8 and also using Firefox 3.6 . I have also downloaded Adobe Flash Player as this was supposed to make playing the games better. Not so much. Now it is frustrating, waiting and waiting.... I have emptied the history cache, removed and reinstalled and still the problem exists.

  • Store takes forever to load and when it does images fail and text is not setup right?

So I thought I had troubles loading the store with itunes, but now I notice it does load just takes forever and when it does the images are broken and the text is linear, not spread correctly like the page would have set it up.  I have tried all the proxy/DNS flush suggestions that the site offers, I have even reinstalled intunes.  I know it is not my provider because the wife's computer loads the store just fine.  My only guess is that there is something I have done to disable itunes from working right or the fact that me and the wife use same provider but are not setup as a home network, any help would be great!

My girlfriend is having the same issue w/ Vista since she updated to iTunes 9. Can't figure out the problem for the life of me and contacted support and they sent me here. Basically the HTML on the store isn't loading properly and it takes forever for the text just to load. Anybody got some suggestions? I'm sure I'm just missing something...

  • Recently my movies and videos take forever to load and when they start playing it's for a second or two at a time. Have to hit the play icon over and over, did not use to be this way they work great on my desktop and iPod

Recently I have been experiencing my downloaded videos and online vids taking a long time to load and when they do, they will only play for a few seconds at best and you have to hit the play icon over and over. Never had this problem before with the 20 plus vids I have any suggestions would be appreciated

I finally resolved my problem after spending way too much time on it. I simply handed my 160GB iPod to my husband to put his fav Stones & Beatles songs on and I went back to my 80GB Microsoft Zune which has never disappointed me.
After spending so much time trying to figure this out I did finally take it back to Apple Store who performed a diagnostic and found there was a problem with the device. They replaced it with a refurbished one which has similar issues. All I wanted to do was listen to my music. Was that too much to ask? So I am happy to be free of this problematic device. No more Apple for me!!

  • ITunes takes forever to load and freezes my computer.

iTunes has started taking over a half hour or sometimes much more time to load and even to play a song once it is loaded. This started with a previous version of iTunes after doing nothing to my computer except some windows 7 updates. After trying to install the new version of iTunes, it stopped on computing space requirements for literally 4+ hours before completing the install. New version still has the same problems as the last. Task manager shows it as running as soon as i choose to open it, but it takes the window 30 min to 2 hours to open, and just recently another 45 minutes to start playing a song that I clicked on. Once the song eventually started playing, I was able to play other songs like normal, however once I hit a song to stop, it froze my whole computer and I had to restart. iTunes is the only program that acts this way, I have tried at least 13 other programs that open and close normally.

lmao so im not the only windows user to have this same problem.... i have no solutions and i hate to be a rude person  and say that none of these other peoples comments seems to work.... you would think apple support would take the time to contact us through this forum and give us their real opinion or actuall help.

  • Computer constantly crashes and now videos take forever to load and play.

When I watch videos, doesn't matter where they come from, my computer hangs like crazy and half the time, I just abandon the video.  My computer also crashes constantly, yet everything is updated and in working order.  I could be in the middle of reading an article of news and all of the sudden the whole system goes black and blank and then after about 30 seconds the whole computer goes off.  I have cleaned it out with canned air and everything recommended.  Can I go back to Windows 8 and abandon 8.1 altogether?  I need help with these matters and in layman's terms please.  Why does this keep happening?  What viable solutions are there for all these problems?  Nothing started happening until my computer automatically updated with 8.1 and its now been a year of nightmares endlessly.  PLEASE HELP.

I am no expert but I think there is an issue with Windows updates for 8.1 and HP desktops, my mouse was dragging, sound was staticy with humming and crackling and video would freeze intermittenly . What finally fixed my machine was a full recovery and blocking windows updates. Now my machine is perfect other than the fact that the beats sounds terrible. The beats work fine now they just sound terrible.

  • GDM loaded and active, but not showing login-screen.

    Hello Archers!
At the very beginning I would like to say "Hello" to all forum users!
I recently started using Arch Linux, after moving from Win8.1 to Ubuntu and then to Arch. I've went through a struggle of installing proprietary AMD graphic card drivers and finally managed to get it working. Although that was achieved with a little sacrifice - GDM stopped working. I can still run Gnome with "startx", but I can't get login-screen to work. Any ideas what happened and how to get it working?
I'm using xorg115 and proprietary AMD graphic drivers.

    EDIT
    Tried symlinking
    /usr/lib64/dri
    to
    /usr/X11R6/lib64/modules
And made that error in Xorg log disappear. However, gdm is still not working. I'm getting stuck at
[ OK ] Reached target Graphical Interface.
I can still log with other tty and startx manually.
