Facebook gets timed out always, clearing cookies caches did not help
My OS is Vista on one computer and Windows 7 on the other. The problem has started after I recently upgraded FIREFOX on both computers. Everytime I try opening FACEBOOK it gets timed out.
Any help to resolve the issue will be appreciated.

I had the same problem! I don't know what caused it, possibly slow Internet but I suppose my antivirus or other software could have affected it. Maybe it's an iTunes problem.
After restarting the download at least 5 times in iTunes after it timed out, I found this website. I didn't know this before, but you can download the update in your browser and then apply it to your iPhone in iTunes once it finishes. I used Firefox 4 and it downloaded without timing out once. All you have to do is hold down Shift and then click on Update in iTunes and it will prompt you to select the update that you downloaded and it will apply it.
Try this and let me know how it works! -

We keep IE6 and Firefox open simultaneously for 2 different mail accounts. Firefox was always much faster even with 3 or 4 tabs open, but for the past couple of weeks when trying to update a screen the CPU suddenly goes to 100% usage and of course nothing will move until the particular process is finished. Closing one or more tabs does not help. If I close Firefox completely with Task Manager CPU usage goes back down to nil. After restarting Firefox CPU usage may or may not go back up depending upon whether it tries to continue the previous task that was locking it up.
It did not do this with Firefox 3.6 but then again it didn't happen immediately after updating to 9.0.1 either.100% CPU usage occurred most often toward the end of the working day when busy trying to print on-line postage. We don't have any memory-consuming plugins but according to the knowledge base articles Firefox memory usage can gradually increase during the day even if you do nothing. It seems that may be the problem so we close and restart Firefox more often now as that usually fixes the problem. However, if we get stuck on a particular website update that causes the CPU to to go 100%, we can always start Firefox without previous tabs so the update will stop, or simply use a different browser until we have time to let the computer play games with itself.
So our workaround of restarting Firefox turns out to be the final solution (until we find something better - will post it if we do). Vic -

It seems to be dependent on my home network and the problem only exists with firefox. I have used chrome and IE8 with no issues. I can verify tomorrow that it only exists in my network but one thing I was able to test is that the problem exists even on my linux boot. I am totally dumbfounded with this problem and I can't find anything that will allow the gmail page to load. All other pages I have tried load fine, all be it a little slower than normal but they load. If anyone knows of a difference between firefox and all other browsers on how it goes through the router I would appreciate the info cause I don't know of any differences.

I cannot open Firefox anymore on my MacBook Pro. When I try to open Firefox, the start page appears during 7 seconds and then Firefox closes and opens a crash report. During these 7 seconds I can't use any button in Firefox. I deleted everything From firefox and Mozilla in my library and in my cache. After I did a reinstall from Firefox. But the problem keeps on existing.
Can you start Firefox in Safe Mode by holding down the Shift/Options key?

I keep getting timed out of server notice after I open a facility and then go to the next facility. It will also time out when working on the fields such as plowing on a friends farm, or planting on my own.

After using my browser (any of them) for a period of time I get a message saying that a page can't be opened. I have to reboot again. Clearing the cache doesn't help. It's very annoying. It even happened in the middle of a chat with Apple online support. I'd be very grateful for help!
Several things come to mind ... when you say your wife uses the same system with a different login and doesn't have issues, that suggests looking at your login items. Go to System Preferences (on your dock or on your hard drive in Applications), accounts, and on your account look at login items. Anything there that shouldn't be or isn't used? If you don't know, create a new account for yourself with no login items, and see if you still have the issue.
Next, I would run OnyX, which is a free disk maintenance program. You can download it from http://www.titanium.free.fr/download.php . Do the tasks on the cleaning and maintenance tabs. Before using any disk maintenance software, you should have a system backup. I periodically run it, and others have found that it can help with performance.
You might look at how you're system is using memory. You should have enough but it's easy to check. Bring up the Activity Monitor (on your hard drive in Applications/Utilities), and look at the system memory tab. Note page ins and page outs. If page outs are 10% to 15% more than page ins, you can use more memory for the programs you run. A page out occurs when memory is full and OS X has to write a section of memory to the hard drive. Too much of this can really impact performance. The optimal situation is for page outs to be zero. Note these values reset on a system boot. -
googlegroups and twitch.tv won't load properly (no content displayed) cleared cookies/cache, nodnsprefetch=true, made sure no proxy, safemode, didn't help!
The rough page layout works fine, but the actual tv-content (twitch) or the actual message texts (ggroups) won't show up. Also, clicking on the prefernces wheel in ggroups will display a small, empty box instead of a drop down menu filled with stuff.
The pages all work properly in chromium.
Note that youtube and normal google search, freemail provider pages, news pages and basically all other pages i can think of work normally and 100%!
I'm using linux 64bit, firefox 22. This problem however, is not new, it happened with older ff versions too. I'm just tired of firing up chromium each time, so i decided to report it here to get a solution.Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

Getting Timed out exception while calling a web service
Hi,
when i am invoking a web service(using routing), the osb proxy is getting timed out before receiving the response from routed service.
Also we are not aware of how much response time the routed service will take. so apart from increasing the connection time is there any alternate solution?
can any one suggest.I do not think there is any other way apart from increasing timeouts to call a web service from OSB synchronously which is taking a long time.
Other alternatives are either to make the service asynchronous delyed request response type, which will mean a change at the backend webservice.
Ideally synchronous web services are designed to respond within a few seconds and not take minutes for processing. I would say that if the backend web service is taking more than a minute then they need to either tune their service performance better so it responds faster OR change it to an asynchronous service. -
Trying to update iphone to 5.0 and after going through the entire download, I get the message that "the Network Connection timed out". Check my network settings. Help!
I have been having this problem for many many months. I switched off my firewall and windows firewall and i am still having the same problems.

I am not seeing new emails today in Firefox except the two sent by Mozilla. I am seeing all my new emails on my iphone. I cleared the history for cache and cookies and this did not help. I also tried shutting down the computer and restarting it.

When I'm composing emails a dialog box keeps popping up asking me to click "resend" to reload my email. If I don't I get timed out. This problem has only happened after I installed update 3.6.16
FYI I am referring to my ISP email on the providor's website, although I have not tried opening other email accounts on the updated Firefox.etresoft a long time contributer to Apple Support Communities wrote a very useful app he called etrecheck which helps in diagnosing many problems caused by third party installs etc.. I'm on 4.2.1 and keep getting timed out (err=.3259) when trying to download 4.3.3. I have tried disabling the firewall and antivirus but still no luck. Any ideas?
